This show is KILLING IT with every episode. The themes are so much more mature and it doesn't even feel like I'm just watching a BL?? It also feels like a top notch quality show that happens to center around a mystical and epic romance between two men. Even the investigation part of the show is riveting. I found myself sympathizing with Narong knowing that he was backed into a corner dealing with so much pain over the loss of his sister all because the law turned against him. Not only is there a wealth of lore and mythology in the show, but also complex and morally grey characters.

I personally have no problems with these tonal shifts because the premise of The Sign really is this complex and nuanced. It's about two men solving cases together in a special investigation unit, but it's also about them discovering that they are the reincarnation of two prominent figures in Thai mythology whose ancient and forbidden love story is destined to repeat across all timelines and lifetimes.

As our secondary couple, I'm 100% sure they will. Tack and Poom also have adorable chemistry with each other and there are screenshots of Thongthai and Khem having romantic scenes together. It's pretty much a given that they'll rekindle their relationship.

I know this might be a strange comment to make but watching Tharn and Phaya together is something I can never really get from a m/f pairing. There's longing and attraction there, perhaps even unspoken feelings, and they'll have this epic, forbidden ancient romance later on but there's also this playful brotherhood and friendship between them that you don't see too often with opposite sex pairings.

Pretty sure Thongthai and Khem will have a big episode about them because this exists, implying that Thongthai still loves Khem even though he broke his heart. Believe me, I want more screen time for these two as well because The Sign is one of the very few shows where I'm interested in both the main couple and the secondary couple.

They haven't really shown much of Khem and Thongthai together, but it looks like we're finally getting some backstory on our secondary couple in the next episode. I hope to see more of them because I think Thongthai still has a lot of love for Khem deep inside his broken heart. :(

This show is serving and giving everything under the sun. It's got comedy, action, fantasy, romance, suspense, and psychological warfare and it's executing all of that with such high production values. I mean the quality is AMAZING and it really underscores the fact that BL as a genre has truly leveled up. The chemistry between Billy and Babe is so strong that once we get a real NC scene, our jaws are gonna be on the floor.

There was a photo circulating on twitter of Thongthai wearing a ring on his necklace during a mission and it seems to be a promise ring that Khem gave him when they were still dating, implying that even though Khem's betrayal hurt him, he still loves him. I'm sure they'll get back together.

The Naga are a race of sea serpents according to Thai/Hindu mythology. In his past life, Tharn was a Naga who fell in love with Sakuna-nopparuj (Phaya in the present timeline), the Garuda King thousands of years ago. The Naga and Garuda are historical enemies and the Garuda (mythical bird-like god creature) is meant to hunt and kill every Naga he sees, which is why Tharn and Phaya's love is forbidden.

I'm so amazed by the depth and pacing of this show. You can clearly tell there's smoldering attraction and sexual tension between Tharn and Phaya, but the narrative gives them room to breathe and figure things out before they can officially be together. That said, my favorite part of episode 3 is that it's rich in mythology and folklore. International viewers may not be familiar with Thai or Hindu mythology so the show deftly explains the Naga and Garuda rivalry to emphasize why Tharn and Phaya's romance, albeit beautiful, is ultimately forbidden.

Saw some screencaps of the 3rd episode and Tharn and Phaya's (ancient) love story is seriously the most beautiful thing ever. I just know Billy and Babe's chemistry is gonna destroy us tonight. 😭

Thailand really saved its best BLs for last because The Sign is blowing me away every episode so far! The camaraderie between Tharn, Phaya, Yai, Thongthai, and Khem is goals and the story just keeps pulling you in. Billy and Babe's chemistry as the main couple is utterly sublime. I personally haven't seen a cast have this much synergy since KinnPorsche.

Some interesting stuff coming up for episode 2:

Tharn sees Phaya's pendant and seems to have memories of his past as a young boy saving Phaya from drowning

Me too. Just seeing them look at each other in episode 1 is enough to give me butterflies in my stomach. Their chemistry is seriously through the roof!!

Babe and Billy both warned us that this show is gonna have a lot of NC/explicit love scenes between Tharn and Phaya because their pent up sexual tension has been building for 4 lifetimes already. O_O

I'm sure the rating for this show will skew higher as more episodes come out, but it doesn't deserve a 7.3 imo. The quality is top notch in pretty much every element and it seems to be well received in Thailand right now. It's gotta be at least an 8.

The Sign is really continuing Thailand's streak of amazing Boys' Love dramas this November especially with I Feel You Linger in the Air reigning supreme and unchallenged as of yet. The pacing in this one is faster, more action oriented, and the film quality is astonishingly exceptional. I'm also enjoying Billy and Babe's chemistry. They manage to convey an ancient love story rooted in mythology just from looks and touches alone.

About Tharn and Phaya's romance, they said that they've been in love with each other for thousands of years so their love story will naturally have plenty of obstacles.

I know opinions are subjective, but this is a bad one imo especially when you claimed that Nonkul (Jom) is just starting in the industry and that Bright's (Khun Yai) acting was just ok. It's difficult to take this comment seriously.
