When I first heard about this show, I didn't really care about it and it didn't appeal to me at first. Then when the show actually started airing, my sister persuaded me to watch it and I did. Boy was I not prepared for what I had watched.Every episode has so much detail and so much going on, we are given that the whole story revolves around 2 "families", Wufeng and the Gong residence. We are then introduced to our assassin Yun Weishan, whose goal is to complete a mission in the Gong residence. The show does a really good gob at characterizing each person's personality traits in the show. Every one of the Gong people are so unique and special in their own way especially Gong Yuanzhi, I loved his character.
Not to mention I was already stunned and impressed with everyone's acting and makeup, but then the show brings up the characters in the back hill and I completely lost it. These humans only get more handsome and prettier. I felt like I had a crush on everyone in the show. Not only was every character impressively gorgeous, their acting skills were even better. I'd never thought Yu Shuxin to be the type to play an assassin but apparently she pulled that role off super well. I was also mesmerized by the Xue Chongzi's acting, a 12 year old boy can act better then some adults in other dramas I've seen.
The OST is so depressing yet beautiful to listen to. I love how the show plays music when it portrays sad scenes, and it only makes me cry even harder. The costuming was also really good. I don't think the show invested a lot of money into costuming but you can clearly tell the costumes are designed very elegantly. The fighting scenes were also very impressive and has sparked the entire Jiang Hu dramas.
I really hope to see a season 2 of this drama, season 1 was way too short, and left with a cliff hanger. The best thing this drama does is every episode ends in a cliff hanger so it only makes you want to continue to watch the next episode. This show made me take such wild conclusions that I fee like I should be a detective sometimes!

Compliments:
story was pretty good, loved Ling Buyi’s character. Cast was awesome, everyone looked nice and well fit for their role, though I think that Yuan Shangjian did a pretty good job acting as the “annoying pushy” character cause he also played in rebirth for you and his character was completely different. Also another sad show that made me cry a lot.
Complaints:
Number one is costuming, even though this show has probably added a new color palette to all the Chinese dramas, since the color of the entire show is just dark colors. I really think the coloring could have been better and same with costuming. Another complaint is the length of the show, it does not need to be this long again it could have been cut down to maybe 35 episodes and there’s too many side stories that aren’t important and make the show a bit boring and lots of skipping around.

I really wanted to continue watching but other shows caught my eye and I kinda just procrastinate to watch this. Didn’t know I would procrastinate a whole year to watch it and still not even finish half the show. It just doesn’t interest me and I only watched it because of the untamed.

The drama isn’t honestly that bad, I’m only dropping this because I’m close to the end and they’ve already gotten together and I just don’t have a lot of time to finish the rest of the drama. In my opinion, the plot of the story is pretty good and fast moving. With our male lead having a crush on an online friend d but also not knowing his online friend also likes him back but in reality. The cast for this show for this show is pretty good.
My biggest issue with this show is it kinda of feels like an e-sports drama. I understand that they never actually play any video games in the drama but there are lots of scenes where it involves the main leads having obstacles on their game app that are launching. I’m here for the romance and not their idea for coming up with ideas on the game so you kinda have to skip around.

A great alternative if you didn't like Love between fairy and devil
OMG where do I begin??!The story itself was already really interesting and straight forward. We are introduced to the characters and the plot in the beginning which I absolutely love. We get a small background of Bai Shuo, and we follow her journey. There was a lot of interesting scenes that captured my attention so it didn't feel boring at all. I wasn't skipping through it much so it kept me entertained. Plot was great, especially Bai Xi's. I loved watching the little interactions between the side characters and following along their quest.
The acting and cast was superb. I've always been a fan of Bai Lu and I gotta say she didn't disappoint me at all. I've seen s couple of Ao Ruipeng's dramas, and OMG the director clearly knew what he/she was doing. I loved his character so much, his domineering spirit is everything! Giving off Dongfang QingCang vibes. I'm even more impressed with Dai Luwa's character. I've seen her in lost you forever, and her role in this show is so lovable, even as the villain she did such a great job.
The OST is catchy and sad. At first hearing Sa Dingding sing the cover, I was kept reminding of The Starry Love which is also a great drama. The props and outfits were great. When I saw the different weapons for each character I was speechless. Fan Yue's sword/whip is so cool, and don't even get me started on Xing Yue bow. It's so pretty and so different from all the other bows I've seen. I love how every character has a different weapon.
My only issue is the saturation of the colors is super heavy. Like there's a lot of bright and dark blue's and purple and it sometimes hurt my head. Other than that, I'm in love with this drama!

I saw the trailer for this show and I got really excited. Not only is Zhao Liying and Li Gengxin doing another collab but I get excited when I see my favorite actors and actresses star in a fantasy drama. My favorite thing about this show is the music. The background music of Shen Li's battle scenes is really good. The first time I heard it, it struck me and it gives this feeling of bravery. The OST in general for this drama is very good.
The costuming was wonderful. I loved all of Shen Li's outfits and I loved seeing her in different outfits throughout the drama. Her hairstyle was fantastic. As someone who is constantly on the battlefield, her outfits give off a General's vibe but also show her feminine side. I can't really say the same for Xing Zhi. His hairstyle was very simple and so was his clothing which I could deal with it.
The acting in this show was super good, especially on the last episode. I loved watching Shen Li's attitude and her stubbornness. It really was giving off strong female lead and I loved it. I also loved watching Fu Rong and You Lan mature in this drama.
I'm not disappointed in this drama and I gotta say it's decently good.

The story line to this whole show is really good. I honestly super mad at Fang Jianming, like we all know he is in love with Haishi, but the fact that they both love each other and both know that, yet he doesn't do anything but instead he just pushes her away. It's really frustrating when he doesn't care about Haishi as much as the emperor. On the other hand Tilan is a wonderful girl, honestly a girl anyone's dreams to be. I don't know why Tilan resembles her sister so much, like even if they were twins they would still be something off and I don't think they're twins. And I think it's funny how Tilan and Zizan are sisters yet the emperor treats Tilan really bad, but then falls in love with her so he falls in love with both girls makes it absurd. If I were Bai Qian, right after jumping down Zhuxian Terrance, the first thing I would do is go get my eyes back from Su Jin, I don't understand why she didn't do that in the first place. There were also a lot of boring parts in the show but it had a very good storyline. Another thing that made no sense was, Bai Qian is 140,000 and Ye Hua is 70,000 because after Mo Yuan died, Ye Hua was born, which they had to wait 70,000 years to reseal the bell. Bai Qian says she's 90,000 years older than Ye Hua which made no sense cause 90,000+70,000 does not equal 140,000. I don't know if it was a mistake or they meant it on purpose.

I wasted my time on this. The first couple of episodes went by in a blur, Qin Fei thought Xing Zhizhi was some sort of obsessive fan and then she all of a sudden works for the hospital recuse team with him and their relationship just slowly gets better. The show does a terrible job depicting why celebrity life actually is. In so many scenes that celetbrites in the show are just so easily seen in public with no agents or helpers or staff around them, like in real life a celebrity has so many workers aroung them but in this show just a regular walk in the parking lot, and Qin Fei was kidnapped.
The last couple of episodes made no sense what so ever to me.

I've seen several clips of this show which drawn my attention to start watching it. It was a little worth it, the story and the acting skills is what impressed me the most. The story starts off pretty basic and has the simple plot of using another identity to get revenge. But little does the audience know that the plot is headed near the middle of the drama.I started watching this show believing that it was going to be all about revenge and betrayal. However it sort of leads into a new story with a rebellion which I was totally unprepared for.
Again the acting in the show was done very well. Wang Xingyue did a great job playing his role, while Wu Jinyan gave off Wei Yingluo vibes again. Even Wanning was a character that I hated and loved at the same time.
My biggest issue with the show was either the original novel or the script. In one scene where Waning was questioning Jiang Li's identity, Jiang Li never denied that she wasn't Xue Fangfei. This scene made me really upset, because if you have a hidden identity and you don't want others to figure it out, you should deny it. Instead of saying why she isn't Xue Fangfei, she lists reasons why the real Jiang Li wasn't killed by her. Just based off these reasons, it would've already made me question her identity if I was a court official. Another thing I would like to point out is that Jiang Li gets too emotional when it comes to her family. I understand that her family is suffering but it also makes this entire scheme of hers easilyy seen through.

There wasn't really exciting about this drama, it more of a sisterhood friendship that have arguments and encounter love. basically everyday problems and obstacles that anyone would experience. Most of the fights in this show were really that impressive that they had to make a drama on it.There were lots of boring scenes about the company having issues that I mainly skipped, one thing that I did look forward to was Gu Qiao's outfits, I gotta say she knows how to get dressed and she has a taste in fashion.
After watching the entire show, I think it's dumb how they left us a cliff hanger, like what happens to Gu Qiao and Xiong Qiming? I wanna know.

What can I say? After watching all 40 episodes, this show does a good job of not letting the heroes always win. The story moves pretty fast, and if you're someone who loves mysteries and being a detective, this show is for you. The plot is something that caught me so off guard and you can never really guess what the real truth to any of these case is.Something I really apprentice in this show is its ability to portray what actually happens during the cases that they solve. Every case they solve, it shows us an actual play of the scene. However, one issue that comes with this show, is Li Lianhua is a bit too smart to the point where you don't even get a chance to guess what happens. Because everything that happens in the show is almost unpredictable, and Li Liana can guess what happens every single time.
Li Lianhua's character is very interesting. He is very observant and conniving. He is very slick and knows how to calculate, which is very impressive. It was such a pity to not see much of his fighting scenes, but there was other fighting scenes which caught my attention especially with Fang Duobing and Di Feisheng. Those 2 characters make the show give a bit more comedy.
Now the ending, not exactly a cliff hanger. He could have saved himself, but he didn't. I want to believe that he isn't dead but considering the fact that he was poisoned and he gave away the only thing that could save him, it was such a pity.

What really caught my eye in the entire show is the fashion. Wen Rou's sense of fashion is really outstanding in a way that it looks old but also really young. This isn't your average CEO sits in an office for 30 episodes showing off this power and wealth. This is more of the female lead wanting to start her own brand however she kinda cheats her way into it. If you're into fashion, I believe this show would be great for you.
Wen Rou's character is very peculiar, she lies her way into things but it's also her personality is very warm. She deceives her husband especially but I feel like there were many times she could have told the straight truth. Shan Liang's character isn't that much better. He is very husband material and the perfect husband. However, he is way too naive.
The show has it's own ups and downs. I'm just glad that the show didn't portray the CEO as a young male leasd who thinks he's superior than everyone else.
