It's never good for a drama to have a better SML than ML but it's even worse when the SML is annoying af. Why can't dramas just make stale 1D SMLs instead if they don't want the viewers to face conflict when it comes to love triangles/squares etc.?
Wow, people are treating this ‘age gap’ issue a bit too seriously. It’s def not the first time that you see a Korean drama starring actors that have more than 10 years of age gap, so what’s the big deal? And for your information, it seems that most of you forgot but in KYJ’s previous drama ‘Clean With Passion for Now’ her co-star was the same age as JCW. So, it’s not the first time. Hence, stop making such a big deal out of it and stop commenting the same thing over and over so that we don’t fill the comment section opposing the same stupid matter. They’re actors and this is their job.
Oh my gosh this is my absolute favorite drama right now!! Whoever wrote this is got a great sense of humor. I…
About the single mothers getting pregnant matter — Guess what, it’s practically considered a crime within the society here in South Asia. The people here (mostly), besides those of us who are open-minded, would never accept such matters. The woman here have to go through a lot of backlash if they don’t conceive a child before 35. Overall, such matters are treated with a lot of sensitivity all over Asia :,)
Just curious, why do you think this role is very different from the roles JCW has played before? I really hope…
Besides his role in Empress Ki, I’ve only seen him in action romance shows where he plays only badass and hero-like roles, and that’s what JCW is popular for. In this drama, his role is quite different. I also hope it isn’t going to be something like Melting Me Softly, but I have high hopes because of the webtoon and the PD.
As someone who seriously enjoyed the original version, the first episode of this was really good. It definitely exceeded my expectations. However, in the Korean original, I suffered from extreme SLS and the SML there was amazing. Hopefully the Thai version has a different ending where the SML gets the girl. Fingers crossed :,)
Oh no, they decided to make One Punch Man into a HOLLYWOOD live action. They already did that kinda thing with Death Note and it was awful. Hollywood is eventually gonna ruin most good popular mangas by turning them into trashy live actions.
Ok I absolutely loved this series. The plot, the characters, the natural chemistry between the leads, the acting, and def the OST- it was all so well-done. But, that’s until the 7th-8th ep. I feel like something went downhill in the recent episodes. Maybe it’s the choppy editing? Or the plot in the recent episodes as the main subject of the plot came to a closure and now it’s mostly just fillers. I agree that this is a bit overrated, but I kinda also understand why it has a such a high rating as BL dramas of this sort doesn’t always come in hand. This is totally my opinion, I might not like it now anymore but it was definitely my fave BL series judging from the earlier nearly flawless episodes.
I’ve finally decided to give this a try after the huge amount of good reviews and I must say, according to the eps I’ve seen so far, it does live up to its ratings and hype. Each episodes are action-packed and thrilling, and the romance seriously pulls at your heartstrings and makes you want more. Definitely much better than most K-dramas airing these days. Both JCW and PMY never fail to have amazing chemistry with their co-stars. Pairing them both together in a drama is a total bomb.
Btw, great article!
