That's amazing hahaha..do discuss why you mom prefers the older and you the younger...btw my ship is issei too…
Damn & here I was thinking that no one could possibly ship Hayame with the older guy.

That wasn't the end. After that she's on a wheelchair with Hiro tending to her. Did you miss that? They didn't…
Thank you for sharing that! Gloomy indeed.

I'm glad someone else appreciated this movie, despite the fact that most of the comments here express lots of…
To each his own, I personally loved this movie. I hope that more people will watch it & appreciate it.

I have seen it more then 50 times in my life for sure - and I feel the same way as you do. I will probably watch…

After episode 7 I dislike Seigo even more!
Seriously Seigo creeps me out with his infatuation over Hayame. I dislike him so much. Even worse is that he doesn't show an ounce of affection for his own brother.

Same here. Team Issei FTW!!!
High five! Also, how fine is Issei in a kimono <3

Oh my, Hayame's made such a man out of Issei, I love it. Squealed at the ending of E7. Their chemistry is so palpable. I can barely hold my excitement for E8.

Huh?! We must be watching a different drama because there is no overacting here at all. Also, please stop generalizing…
I can agree to disagree with you on the acting.

Re: the generalisation - How many J dramas have you seen to make those generalisations? It's not a fair one at all. Most J dramas aren't even the same, they literally make the most range of dramas with different characterisations (as opposed to other East Asian counterparts). You're probably watching the wrong dramas that are based of animes which require anime-like acting rather than most of the mainstream dramas that have some of the most real acting.

Why bother watching if you got so much problem with the acting or with J dramas in general? No one's forcing you to watch.

I dont understand the point of fl's overacting. Why cant japanese fl act like normal human being? Why dont they…

Title Promise Cinderella Spoiler
Episode 7, Maybe Seigo himself who put that complaint mail toward Hayame. Him or Kikuno. As for Kikuno, I got suspicious…
Kikuno turning out to be a boy would be such a fantastic plot twist damn (though I am pretty sure she isn't.)

I'm sorry, did I read something wrong? Is a divorced woman going to fall in love with a high school student beacuse…
Don't judge from the synopsis. Give it a try. I had the same reservations but I thoroughly enjoyed it when I watched it.

Person Maeda Gordon
He was kinda cute in Renai Mangaka but he's officially stolen my heart in Promise Cinderella.

I just started watching this, and it is so so good. The FL is such a fighter & all the characters got so much spunk, I love it. Team Issei all the way!
To anyone considering whether to watch or not - Just go for it. Don't judge by the synopsis.

I understand where you’re coming from, but overall I liked it a lot. I think they focus more on emotion here…
I'm one of the few who didn't dislike any of the characters, but what frustrated me was that all the way till the end, we didn't truly have access to their thoughts, we didn't see them actually reflect & grow. You know the basic plot of a story has to have a conflict, a resolution etc & this didn't really have that which made me feel like I wasted my time watching this. Even slice of life shows that don't have much of a plot show you a certain character graph/growth. This lacked a plot & lacked characterisation. Probably one of the most disappointing dramas I have seen even though it's not the worst drama.

I wouldn't compare it to Love Phantom. Totally different storylines/characters. I only speak for myself and personally I didn't enjoy it. When I mean that the drama lacked substance, I meant that it didn't convey the psychology of the characters well at all. I would have liked the drama to explore their emotions better. Almost all the characters were undeveloped & I don't think the show made me connect with them at all.

J dramas are known for being heartwarming LOL. You need to watch more J dramas.
I'm one of the few who didn't find the second half that melodramatic though there were moments of melodrama. The others aren't as melodramatic, give them a try.

RE: The first sentence - that is not true at all. In fact, majority of the J dramas do not have manga-ish acting…
Mature & healthy romances, that too together, are a rarity in dramaland. But these are some J dramas I can think of in this category-
Neko
Colourful Love
Takane No Hana
Neechan No Koibito
Koi Wa Deep Ni
Kikazaru Koi
Unmei ni, Nita Koi
Horimiya
Kimi no Te ga Sasayaite Iru
Perfect World
In This Corner of the World
Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake
Love Kome No Okite
