It's so hard to find a good jdrama because the acting is so damn right manga-tic. This one has the elements of…
RE: The first sentence - that is not true at all. In fact, majority of the J dramas do not have manga-ish acting (that is very specific to shoujo or certain kinds of dramas/movies). Unfortunately those are the ones that get popular & criticised. Would be happy to recommend you a variety of J dramas that have fantastic acting.
Omg I wanted to see the drama Frist so so so bad..but now I see the movie is dubbed prolly I will give it a go...morisaki…
He is such an underrated actor. He was great in this. From my calculation, the movie cut only close to 1 hour of the drama so it's not a lot. I don't think the drama will be subbed so give the movie a try. Also, it is pretty frustrating so see if you can even get through the whole movie, I don't think many will be able to HAHA
He just happened to train him on every plan Death Prince has?
The only logical reason I can come up with is that they are from similar organisations that's why the methods of killing can't differ too much. How creative can killing get anyway. But yeah I've been asking myself the same question each episode.
8/10 A really grounded & solid coming-of-age story of the FL who steps out into the world for the first time when she makes the decision to live by herself. I love how realistic this drama was in the portrayal of relationships & how grey they can be. Unfortunately, love doesn't always conquer the day. It takes a lot more for a relationship to tick. At the end, I appreciated how the FL was able to take charge of her life & grow up while maintaining the innocence & vulnerability she had. The actress who played her best friend Kyoko was fantastic. As much as I disliked Kyoko, she was as real as it gets for one who was struggling with her love for her best friend & unable to find clarity on her orientation & disposition. At the end, I was able to empathize with her despite her obsession & manipulation. All of them, including Kyoko, were only human & the world isn't the most inclusive & kind place. All in all, I enjoyed watching this drama & would recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a story of growth. While this isn't a love story, it is a a decent story of love & friendship.
Tanaka Kei & Yoshida Kotaro were so different here. I've mostly seen them in serious stuff, esp Kotaro who plays darker roles with ease. They did such a great job transforming themselves, I won't be able to see them the same way again haha. Bet it must have been so much fun filming this drama. Highly recommended for those looking for a light-hearted yet endearing little drama.
This was the full package - an ambitious & charming male lead, a driven & gorgeous female lead, the crazy ex-wife, the rebellious son, the understanding girlfriend, and all that sexiness / passion oozing from the leads. It was no masterpiece, but it entertained me all the way without any dull moment. Also, I love that they shot in Singapore hehe :)
