7/10 "In this world, the one thing you can never get back is time."
This drama is all about how one moment of mistrust, bullying and bad choices can ruin you forever. It doesn't deserve so much negativity. Sure, it could have been more tight-scripted & paced better, but you got to watch the whole thing to appreciate it. It was realistic for the most part (in terms of the emotions conveyed) & the last few episodes were well done. I liked the various themes this show attempted to discuss.
The amnesia plot worked in a unique way here, because it shifted the FL's perspective of things allowing others to blame her & make it look like she was at fault, when she was the one who was actually wronged. It also gave her an opportunity to break out of her shell through the process of recovering the lost memories. We humans have a way of twisting things to look at them from a perspective that is favorable to us, & that is exactly what this drama portrayed. In the end, I empathized with all of them because none of them were bad people, but were all victims in different ways.
If you're looking for a fluffy romance, or a positive story of friendship (based on the first 3 episodes), you'll be disappointed because this drama is far from that. Rather, it presents things from the other way round, and shows you what friendship is not, how bullying affects the psychology of a person & how regret is a painful pill to swallow. All the characters are far from perfect, & that is the beauty of this drama because nothing they did is sugercoated or excused as an innocent mistake.
Watch with an open mind, rather than your own expectations of how it should go & you'll find that this drama is not that bad (though it's not great either).
Special mention for the guys in this drama - Song Han Ming who was a true friend to the FL and He Hao Yi who never gave up on loving the FL & making it up to her.
Renn's Kira had me swerved on him in a jiff XD Funny how I hardly bat my eyes on him whilst reading the manga…
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SPOTTED! He is so so extra but very endearing at the same time, and that has a lot to do with the actor's performance in my opinion. I love him & Asahi together too much. It's quite the clash of 2 different personalities, but there's something refreshing about it. They're not just fire but there is substance. They're both strong minded people but you can see they're both melting in each other's presence.. Asahi too, slowly.
Butt length hair?! OMG I am glad they didn't do that in this drama.

I haven't read the manga but I'm pretty sure Renn is doing an awesome job. Don't you love how he flaps around (like he's got wings) & that iconic hairflip of his & just how he is so EXTRA and... the list goes on HAHAHAHAHAHA
The first episode was so heartwarming & uplifting. A beautiful drama that emphasizes on inclusion & that people who are alone aren't necessarily lonely. There's so much that one can do and enjoy alone. People who are alone do have a life & are very much capable of being happy. THE MOST RELATABLE DRAMA I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. Each dialogue, the FL's thoughts & just everything about this was beautifully real & heartwarming. Seriously just watch it. Can't wait for E2!
The physical & sexual abuse was so hard to watch . Please stay away if you can't stomach those kinds of scenes. Putting that aside, it was a painfully real & emotionally stirring movie that dealt with some really hard issues of loneliness, abuse, social isolation, stalking (to name a few). The execution was very interesting & somewhat original. I couldn't find the words, until another user pointed out that it was like watching a novel that came alive. I couldn't agree more. Kora Kengo was great as always but the FL was quite a revelation. Highly recommended if you're into the psychological/mature genre.
Well as per your approval m adding this to my list hahaha ..might watch this week while I wait for our ongoing…
Foxyyyyy OMG YES WATCH IT! It is so so beautiful! Definitely one of my fav T-dramas & also one of my fav in the romance/psychological genre <3 I legit re-watch this every year!
Dropped at E7. Sakamato Yuji's weakest drama IMO. It had everything going for it, from the amazing A list cast,…
I loved the table scene in E5 but then the way everything was handled after that.. the show really went downhill from there. I really liked this the first 5 episodes but had to drop it by the 7th episode because I just didn't feel like continuing on.
Dropped at E7. Sakamato Yuji's weakest drama IMO. It had everything going for it, from the amazing A list cast, to the beautiful music, & dialogues in the first half but the script/story started falling apart in the second half.
OH SHIT I just realised that arrogant dude was Shirasu Jin!! No wonder he looked familiar. I feel so dumb lol
I don't like him much in this drama. I want him to stay away from Saki. Also he made this comment about women (which I forgot) which made me want to punch him HAHAHA
