The physical & sexual abuse was so hard to watch . Please stay away if you can't stomach those kinds of scenes. Putting that aside, it was a painfully real & emotionally stirring movie that dealt with some really hard issues of loneliness, abuse, social isolation, stalking (to name a few). The execution was very interesting & somewhat original. I couldn't find the words, until another user pointed out that it was like watching a novel that came alive. I couldn't agree more. Kora Kengo was great as always but the FL was quite a revelation. Highly recommended if you're into the psychological/mature genre.
Well as per your approval m adding this to my list hahaha ..might watch this week while I wait for our ongoing…
Foxyyyyy OMG YES WATCH IT! It is so so beautiful! Definitely one of my fav T-dramas & also one of my fav in the romance/psychological genre <3 I legit re-watch this every year!
Dropped at E7. Sakamato Yuji's weakest drama IMO. It had everything going for it, from the amazing A list cast,…
I loved the table scene in E5 but then the way everything was handled after that.. the show really went downhill from there. I really liked this the first 5 episodes but had to drop it by the 7th episode because I just didn't feel like continuing on.

OH SHIT I just realised that arrogant dude was Shirasu Jin!! No wonder he looked familiar. I feel so dumb lol
I don't like him much in this drama. I want him to stay away from Saki. Also he made this comment about women (which I forgot) which made me want to punch him HAHAHA
Satoko's grandfather was doing something bad to her, yes. They knew it because of what little Satoko said, that…
No it's not about sleeping per se. It was the way Satako commented that girls are only supposed to sleep with their grandfathers that was a red herring. She was shocked that Yuri could sleep on her own & didn't need to sleep with her grandfather. Also, what Satako said was not a normal thing to say. Like you would say I do sleep with my grandfather sometimes, but you wouldn't say that you're supposed to sleep with your grandfather. That phrasing adds a whole new dimension to it.
Also, in Japan many older men are known to be into school girls.. like it's a kink (though I'm not sure if girls of Satako's age, she was very small, do constitute that)
I DID :( But before 2020 I just watched J dramas/movies on & off.. so maybe even if I passed by her I wouldn't really have bothered lol. But now I'm like SHITTTT. HAHAHA!
E1. Wow what a strong first episode. Watching Kanzaki spiral was uncomfortable & this is just the start. Suzuki Anne, as always, was lovely. She's such a fine actress who is unfortunately very underrated. Matsuzaka Tori, as always, was great.
Initially, he was a man who said nothing out of his own will (and apprehension). Then he became a man who was coerced into action by the board (doing what others wanted him to do using his own words). And finally he became a man who couldn't even express what he might have wanted to. Quite a psychological game that people in power play with those who are lesser / weaker than them. (though I did wonder at points whether Kanzaki truly has a voice or not)
All in all, it was a great commentary & satire about the kind of world we live in where freedom of expression appears to be a fancy ideal that is bogged down by all sorts of repercussions & societal shunning.
