For something funny / fun - Yankee Kun to Megane Chan, My Boss My Hero, Ouran High School Host Club, Nobuta Wo…
Yes, they're all strong, independent characters :) I don't like weak & clingy female characters either. Do note Nagi's Long Vacation is about the FL's growth from a weak, socially awkward woman into an independent, strong woman. The development is so so well done!
jdorama rarely do sequel even the series is so popular... so its unlikelyi dont want to get my hope high lolbut…
A lot of J dramas I watched had a sequel / special episode. So I don't think its rare. But yeah I think this one is unlikely to have one. That ending was probably just for dramatic effect.
Just saw the finale raw as I couldn't resist. Whatever little I understood had me screaming. All the psychological games the characters were playing with each other OMGGG MY HEART COULDN'T HANDLE ALL THAT INTENSITY & THEN IT GOT ALL EMOTIONAL :(( Ayase Haruka & Takahashi Issei hit it out of the park in that scene in the room. This is one of those shows where neither did I want nor hope for romance, but damn the past 2 episodes had me shipping these two so hard. That ending killed me with its perfection. Are we gonna get a special episode or a 2nd season? I hope so though the ending was probably for dramatic effect haha.
Kokoro No Kizu Wo Iyasu to Iu Koto was a lovely series. Emoto Tasuku also gave a wonderful performance in the…
Kakou no Futari wasn't as easy watch for me. It is definitely not for everybody. Like I felt like I really had to stop myself from thinking about my morals & really take it for what it was given the sexual content. If you can actually take that, then you should really give it a try. It explores intimacy, mid life crisis & just sex in a real way. Emoto Tasuku, as usual, was brilliant!
How did Riku (Emoto Tasuku) go from being annoying to adorable? His character is listed as Watanabe Riku {Freeloader]…
Kokoro No Kizu is one of those rare dramas that explores mental health . I loved it so much. It's such an underrated gem in the slice of life genre. And Emoto Tasuku is a BRILLIANT actor.
That's what I think too, only japanese dramas can show so deeply these simple heartwarming stories . This drama…
Yeah! I agree. Too bad I constantly come across comments on this site with people generalizing J dramas as bad on the basis of one or two dramas they found bad or did not like. It makes me sad. There's so much to explore with J dramas, they literally make the most variety of dramas from all kinds of themes.
BTW is your username inspired from Remolove? XDWhat genres do you enjoy watching?
Oh really? I loved Byakuyako. I didn't find it slow at all. I haven't read the book though. RE: Count of Monte Cristo - For me, it's one of the better (or best) adaptations so far!
My tears just won’t stop flowing. What a wholesome, heartwarming & uplifting story of friendship & love, that…
Taiyou & Saku kissing Masora in the ambulance was so so beautiful. I can’t remember the last drama (or any drama) that I watched that showcased such a beautiful platonic bond between two men & a woman. I cried so bad in that scene.
And surprise suprise! Masora didn't die in the finale, as many of us expected her to :)
My tears just won’t stop flowing. What a wholesome, heartwarming & uplifting story of friendship & love, that was brilliantly written & acted. I didn't know this was the show I needed, especially during the time of COVID where everyone is feeling isolated, & lonely to an extent. This drama reinforces the fact that no one comes even close to Japan in the slice-of-life genre. A drama that everybody needs to watch at least once. It will teach you a thing or two about being kind & compassionate.
I think it was very interesting to see the contrast of how Nami felt about her husband being actually talented,…
Completely agree with you! I love the realistic touch. I wonder how they're going to deal with so much in the finale like I felt that we were just getting into the story haha.
Yeah I noticed her dress too! What a cute little girl. In fact, both kids were just adorable!!
Sigh I definitely want more of this drama why is it ending the next episode ?!
Being in the legal field myself, I'd advise you not to rely too much on this drama to learn the law. It is not…
HAHA I see. I thought you were studying law. All the best for English. Try not to see it as a killer subject, try to enjoy it & that will really help :) YOU CAN DO IT!!
