While the male lead's work may make some people uncomfortable, this is a quiet and very human film about life,…
Nice to meet another person who loves the drama as much as I do. It is so so good! And his transition in E9 (with the whole body language, voice, expressions) was FANTASTIC!! He is so underrated. Hope he gets more roles so that I can see him on my screen soon :)
I JUST FINISHED IT AND WOW THE LAW IN HERE IS BRILLIANT AND IM ALSO LEARNING LEGAL STUDIES AT MY SCHOOL SO THIS…
Being in the legal field myself, I'd advise you not to rely too much on this drama to learn the law. It is not very accurate. Of course you are free to enjoy it for what it is. I did too! Wishing you all the very best for your studies & life ahead :)
BTW if you're into legal dramas, I'd recommend this Japanese drama called Devil's Attorney :) It will have you questioning & thinking about the legal system.

Are you watching Tengoku to Jigoku? It's ending this week. He is so fantastic in that as well. Also if you're into suspense, then it is a must watch! Top notch writing, acting & direction!!
Yeah I found this movie on dramacool but the subs were really bad :(
E7. I love it when a show goes exactly where I want it to go. This episode had me going BINGO!! Can't believe the next episode will be the finale, I definitely want more :(
It frustrates me to see screenwriters being constantly told what to write to generate ratings & not be given that autonomy to write what they truly want. I felt Keisuke's frustration really. As much as writers are increasingly being appreciated now, it is a fact that often good actors, being the face of the show, take credit for a successful drama with the team behind the camera being ignored. Among the dramas we've watched, how many screenwriters' names' can we truly remember?
Nami's conversation with the therapist broke my heart because she subtly acknowledged that she saw Keisuke as an untalented house husband all this while & the realisation that he might be talented did not sit well with her, added with the jealousy of not being able to produce good work of her own in comparison to his. Contrast Nami with Keisuke, who, while seeing Nami as superior (to himself) in her writing ability & selling capabilities, felt happy & proud of her.
An interesting reversal of genders with Nami appearing to be more like the stereotypical man who is the sole breadwinner of the household, & Keisuke appearing like the stereotypical woman who stays at home to take care of the family. I found it to be a subtle & effective way to examine the effects of power imbalances in a relationship. It was never a man vs woman thing. It became one with more women being home, and more men being at work. You see the same issues playing out here, with Nami not being able to handle her husband's success, & Keisuke always feeling inferior to her. That is why it is so important for both husband & wife to try to contribute to the household equally in all aspects because when the burden shifts to only 1, complexes build. Of course I am not discrediting the role of a stay home husband/wife but financial independence is so so important. Responsibilities towards the house is equally important as well. I don't know how to say this well, but it made me realise that relationships are not merely about playing your roles well (by the book) rather it is a process. .. a journey of reflection & action.
Special shout out to the two young kids in the school uniform. KAWAIIIII!
Have you seen Remolove? He was really fine in that drama. That's when I fell in love with him.
WOWOW dramas tend to be dark & of top quality (at least most of them) so I'm super hyped!! The plot also sounds really interesting! Hope to meet you on the comments section of that drama :)
"Life is a continuation of choices", wise words indeed. What a satisfying journey this was all the way from the start till the end! That ending was just so romantic, moving & PERFECT in every way that I even shed a few tears.
Highly recommended for anyone that wants to watch a contemplative & heartwarming slice of life drama about the choices we make & the importance of loving and appreciating your partner.

Thank you for that! I watch anything with Takahashi Issei, he's one of my fav actors :) Do you know where I can find this with good subs? The one that I found had really mediocre subs.
Haha I don't cry easily but I've been crying a lot lately thanks to all the fantastic J dramas this season. E9…
IKR! Their acting after the switch was FANTASTIC!! I freaking loved it. I honestly have no idea how they're gonna get out of the mess. Like my brain has stopped working. Another user did point out the SD card which fell out of Azuma's pocket. Maybe that might help? Also I wonder what Yamaki said to his superiors? He definitely revealed something. Riku also probably will have some role to play. But I really really can't figure out. I do think a huge twist is going to our way in the finale.
Takahashi is easily one of my fav actors. I watch everything he's in. He just never disappoints. I just saw this movie of his that got subbed recently. It's called Wife of A Spy. Do check it out, he's so swoony there! Watching that drama made me want him in a romantic drama so so bad.
No romance, but fantastic drama nonetheless. Great mystery/suspense + acting + writing :)
No worries :)
Ayako & Riku are housemates & friends.
Junpei appears on each episode. He's Mochizuki's subordinate & the person who knows about the switch. He is the main person Mochizuki confides in & looks to for help.
Nakamura Yuri is Hidaka's secretary & she appears sometimes. She's just a minor supporting character.

Remolove
Nagi's Long Vacation
Neechan No Koibito
In This Corner of the World
Juhan Shuttai!
Sekai Ichi Muzukashii Koi (this one's more of a romcom)
I will come back with more. These are what I can remember at the top of my head.

FYI he has another drama coming up where he'll be the lead. I'm looking forward to watch it!

Also yes watch Wife of A Spy & let me know how you felt about the movie.

Also didn't they find a secret tunnel to get in & out?
RE: The lieutenant - yes I wish they did show his struggle to escape to the island given that he was on Doc's radar after the whole confrontation.
I do agree that a lot of times, it does look a little too easy for them to navigate around.
