I just finished it and I think it's pretty good. This lakorn doesn't have the whole annoying push and pull of…
Great! I always can't get into lakorns because of how leads just never have this concept of personal space lol. Till date, I can only think of 1 lakorn where the ML was respectful to the FL all the way & where the romance was organic. Will definitely check this out, thanks.
Just caught up and I agree. Broke up right before the finale too. Don't think this drama needed Ryota liking Nami…
Watch the spin off! I'm enjoying it more than the drama LOL though I'm only at E5 of the spin off. It's actually way better. Urgh why isn't anyone casting Shotaro in good roles!!

I KNOW RIGHT. Damn Shotaro is such a fine actor. He's so wasted in this drama seriously. Also can someone please cast him in a lead role, like he seriously deserves it. He is the full package.
This is the first BL I ever watched, and I binged it at one go. Even though I have gay friends & I am open minded, I've always hesitated to watch a romance between 2 guys because I doubted how comfortable I would be watching it. But this didn't bother me at all. In fact, I loved it, and I didn't at any time think that I was watching a love story between guys, or that this was weird. It was just a love story for me, like any other. Love is love regardless of sex & gender, and I think the show did a great job in portraying that & normalizing that. After meeting each other, they fell in love with each other, just like how a man falls in love with a woman. It is that normal. Many of us think that just because someone is gay/lesbian/bisexual etc they are wired differently, but the fact is we are all wired the same. We love someone because we feel attracted to them & because they fufill a certain need / part of us. I squealed, fangirled, felt sad & happy for the characters. Adachi is the cutest guy ever & Kurosawa made me swoon. I don't know how other BLs are, but I feel like this was made with a lot of love & I totally get the hype. Also I have to mention that I adored just how sweet, contemplative & sensitive this was. Anybody knows more love stories like these?
She really does look like Aoi Yu! Which of her work would you recommend?
I've only seen her in these & she shines in all of them. They are all must watch dramas and movies!
Nagi's Long Vacation The Bride for Rip Van Winkle - drama/movie are the same Tenno no Ryoriban Juhan Shuttai! Mi wo Tsukushi Ryouricho Hanako to Anne The Great Passage To Each His Own The Little House Ichikei No Karasu The Asadas!
It was interesting to watch the film from a traitor's perspective because usually I have seen films of this period…
Oh yes, that as well. The kind of times they lived in, someone had to be a scapegoat & Fumio seemed to be a willing one, so they were able to easily use him that way. I don't think they were ok, it's more like they just had to live with that guilty conscience. There was nothing else they could do. Also probably they were used to it because that was their everyday reality.
What scary times people lived in back then. Imagine the fear of being caught or betrayed looming all the time & then being tortured to death. I feel thankful for the world we're in right now.
Once again, what makes this drama good is Nanao’s superb acting. I’m a bit disappointed on Mone for this one.…
Agree! I much prefer the growth Mone's character went through in Love Lasts Forever than this one. I didn't enjoy the romance as much & I found the episodes very formulaic in that they followed a particular pattern each episode (1 work problem, standard beginning/ending scene with Nami & Jun etc) Its not bad per se, but I didn't find it as exciting as I did the first 4 episodes. The characters, too, were not layered. I found them pretty typical & one note at points. Pity, this had potential to be a lot more!
Extended preview for the last ep...~~~~ https://www.instagram.com/p/CMV-bSjBSsn/Ugh, my Japanese isn't enough…
Some parts I understood -
- Aoi talks about a proposal from Soseki (not clear who he proposed) - there's some talk about loneliness between Hikaru & Aoi - Sora telling Wataru that she does not understand what love is & Wataru tells her what it is (while Hikaru looks at smiling Sora during the voiceover)
DECENT one time watch. It checked all the boxes for a good love story, but I didn't love it even though there was nothing that I really disliked about it. I didn't particularly care for the characters (neither love nor dislike). The OST was A1, as with a lot of J dramas from the 90s. Watch if you want to see a romance-centric drama. I much prefer the FL's other dramas like Risou No Kekkon, Beautiful Life or Aishiteiru to Ittekure for those who enjoy romance.
Will definitely check this out, thanks.
It's like I've been talking to myself the past 2 weeks lol

Hope a fansubber picks this up!
