I'm just so happy to see Toyokawa Etsushi (actor who plays Sora's father) He starred in some of my favourite J dramas from the golden era of the 90s. So that probably made me biased lol. But when he entered, I wondered if the show was digressing and was questioning whether they really needed him. I am so glad I was proven wrong.
I loved him so much in these 2 episodes. You can see just how much Sora needed that conversation with her father. How much Aoi needed that support (even if temporary) where she could let go & have another person share the joy of raising Sora. I don't like what the father did to Aoi & Suzune. But I fell in love with him and could see that Sora loved him too. He definitely helped her mature. You can also see how alike they are.. the way he joked about wifi/internet, ruffled Sora's hair, was so unapologetic & the lesson he taught Sora. I teared up a little.
The preview with mother/father holding Sora up made me so happy. *sad for Gon though*
Wataru realising that Hikaru is on another level HAHAHAHA Dude you just realised?! Gon and Hikaru. BOTH OF YOU SERIOUSLY WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO ADMIT IT?! You guys stand a chance, you know?!
The amount of love triangles in this show, it sounds complicated but it's a first where I love it so much. All the feels are killing me. My ships are clear, but can all of them just be happy please. I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH
Seriously all those writers that write painful & agonizing love triangles/ love stories could seriously learn a lesson or two from this writer on how to write real yet very fun-loving stories & characters.
Ok my ships are Sora and Hikaru.....aoi and Gonchan and Sally and shunichiro...
I know right! I love all the pairings so much. Even Shunchiro and Sally, despite the 50 or 60 year age gap. They don't get a lot of screen time but I like how progressively & sensitively they've been written.
How accuratelly did the series represent the book?
I read the book many years ago so I may not remember every detail. IMO this was a brilliant interpretation of the novel. It couldn't have been done any better.
Anybody that likes to watch a psychological suspense, this is it. A1 music, direction, cinematography, acting, and writing. This was really really good.
I counted till 3 then I gave up HAHA!It's the first time I saw a traditional Japanese wedding and I thought it…
Yeah the husband living in that cold cabin unsettled me.. what kind of tradition is that? That was the only part that wasn't funny.. but then I don't know why they do it so who am I to say
How many stones did he drop in the water? Haha. And was that a broom they put on her head? :0). Strange funny…
I counted till 3 then I gave up HAHA! It's the first time I saw a traditional Japanese wedding and I thought it was funny too! But then the villagers and everybody were just so adorable about it. E7 so far has been the only episode where I didn't cry lol.
Man I can't remember the last really good mystery I watched from Japan. This one has spoilt me. It is absolutely…
Hmm.. Japan does have a lot of brilliant crime dramas. Just that there are way too many of them don't get subbed. Have you seen Karamazov no Kyodai? It's another BRILLIANT one that comes to mind. Will go dig up my list on mystery/crime dramas & get back to you.
