My J-drama viewing experience tells me that dramas that are 20-30 mins long are usually low budget.I have only…
For me, I'm more interested in the story outside the game that's why I liked this more. But I can see why this one pales in comparison to the original, esp for those who watch it for the gaming visuals. No doubt that the gaming visuals/costumes/CGI don't match up at all, and I may add, are poorly done.
This is the first drama written by Nojima Shinji that I did not like. It was so disappointing. Given the plot and his ability to write dark stuff, I was expecting something really thrilling, dark & well-written. It wasn't bad per se, but I couldn't understand the relationship between a lot of the characters, like Jiro & the high schooler, Jiro & the teacher (WTF would you provoke someone to hit you?!) The ML was way too calm & that irked me so much I wanted to shake him up lol. I wish they wrote him better, and also casted a better actor as the ML. The leads did not have chemistry at all.
The only thing I liked about the drama were the OSTs, & the actors who played Jiro and Miyuki.
Reiko was adorableeeeeeeeee in the way she fumbled around the VP. Looking forward to their date!! Rio seems nice so far, I hope that the Jun/Rio angle will not be dragged out!
Comparing this version with the other available ones..it’s really lacking visually and I’m not talking about…

I have only seen the 1st episode and so far, I like this version much more than the Chinese one already. I did not enjoy the Chinese version. The game visuals/costumes/CGI are not on par with the Chinese one, but I find the characters more real, and appreciate how the connection between the leads was set up. Also, I find the acting much better.
this show is on par with hanzawa naoki. people just dont appreciate it enough. The acting, the facial expressions,…
Lucky you! I am still waiting for the remaining episodes to be subbed.. the wait is tough since last year. I shouldn't have started this when it was airing sigh..
I liked this, but didn't love it, maybe because it got bogged down by the leads' trying to let go when they were clearly not over each other in the middle. I wanted the show to focus on them together as a couple & the journey of ups and downs, rather than the whole getting together & the focus on the sacrifice they would be making if they were to date. I do appreciate, though, that when the ML did come around, he had the guts and the confidence to be the one to ask for a second chance. I loved the strength of their relationship after that.
I would recommend this for 2 reasons -
(1) the fantastic acting, esp by the ML. Not at any point did I feel that he wasn't disabled. Not only was he believable, but he also brought out the vulnerability, anger, helplessness and love for the FL well. What an underrated actor! The FL too did her part well, and I loved that her character was strong, and loving.
(2) Also I have to give credit to this show for presenting the struggles a disabled person faces. It was well done and real (without being too melodramatic). I love that the drama tried to present this idea of a 'perfect world' as one where no one is made to feel left out or disadvantaged, and the importance of inclusion in society. I've always had a lot of empathy for people who are disabled but this drama really opened my eyes to treating them just like any other person without having the need to single them out because they are different. While we should be supportive, giving them the space to help themselves, and not singling them out is equally important as well.
ugh why did he ended up with Tsugumi instead of Aoi , Tsugumi was fucking annoying lmao.
The opposite for me lol. I'm only on E5 & Aoi is annoying me so much. Like she keeps interfering & making Tsugumi feel like she can't do anything to help Ayukawa. I wanna slap Aoi so bad.
did this worth watching? i saw this clip on youtube, it seem somehow interesting
The leads are adorable, and I love how she is growing up thanks to her job & boss. All the characters are nice as well :) It's not groundbreaking, but a good watch nonetheless.
