The background score / OST of this show is so damn GOOD and they use it really effectively. Love the cinematography as well.. some really stunning shots & frames. Also, the actor who plays Hibiki really knows how to cry.
Watching these kind of dramas always make me question the kind of person I am deep down. It's easy to be fair and kind when everything is rosy but when you have to fight for survival, you're stripped off your mask and the inhumanity of a human surfaces. Also I wonder if I'll even survive a day lol.
The writing of this show is so witty, sensitive, progressive. I cannot praise the writer enough for the script, and for the world she's created with these interesting characters. I feel like I'm third wheeling while watching them because they are very real (even though eccentric as well). Their connection and history feels so real (including the places like their home, the school or the restaurant.. basically everything they reminisce about), and that makes their dynamic even more fun to watch (love the way they talk over each other, the chemistry is explosive)
The little things like how Aoi & Sora's relationship is presented, Gon's father being technologically advanced, Gon marrying at the age he is in, Soseki's girlfriend questioning whether it is still love when all she seems to be doing is stalking him, Mum being presented as ditzy at her age, Irino dating the older woman despite knowing how she is, Wataru's fake nose hair, the struggles the characters at different age groups face with regard to their place in society. the whole talk about destiny being romanticism; all these (and many more) break a lot of stereotypes society has created around relationships or certain sections of society in the way they should behave..
I'm so impressed with the first 4 episodes. HATS OFF to the entire team for this! More people need to watch this show.
Just saw E2 & I loved the connection they built between the leads outside the game, unlike the C version where the lead creepily claimed that they were together the first time they met for a meal. When Ichika accepted master's proposal in the game, I could understand & feel the excitement they felt. I do wish the game visuals were better, but I can accept it given that this is a low budget production.
OK I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE SHOW IS GOING WITH THAT END OF E6
I may be wrong but it almost felt like Suzuki was over Jun and Nakazawa may actually stand a chance?
I don't know if it was the acting or whether Jun is indeed to supposed to display a different shade. But Jun seemed to drop that nice, sweet guy mask when he walked away from Nakazawa towards the end. That anger just didn't seem like him (not saying he doesn't get angry like any other person) Also, I was surprised by how stubborn he was, in the way he sat outside her house & refused to budge until she let him in. There's probably more to what meets the eye for Jun, and I hope the show explores that.
URGHHHH Suzuki really needs to learn to communicate, rather than coming up with her own assumptions and making decisions based on them. Looks like they'll break up with the way she accuses him in the preview.
@maulichuu on Twitter will subbing this drama https://twitter.com/maulichuu/status/1359646939059347459Eng Subbed…
THANK YOU SO MUCH. Am I the only one who thinks Ayana Go looks different? It took me some time to recognise him lol.. maybe it's the hairstyle or he's aged? I can't point out exactly what it is.
