I'm sorry if I may sound harsh but I would not recommend this.
I do think the acting was decent, and the actors did the best they could, but weak screenplay and direction let this down.
There were too many time skips and we never got to see characters develop. It was so much of telling us where they were, rather than showing it to us. The scenes didn't flow well. It was so shallow and lacked depth (not like the Chinese one was great but at least, it didn't rush everything)
I could tell the show was in a rush to merely create similar events as the original, and that's where it really failed. I wish the show didn't try to replicate the original and rather tried to create its own pace. Adapting something isn't about replicating events, but rather about capturing the essence of what you are adapting. Even rookie writers and directors would do a better job than what happened here.
Note to writers: You got to let characters sit in the moment, feel the moment before moving on to the next development.
There are way better drams if you're looking for something short and fluffy.
Also this guy that Riku stays with for a while in episode 5. Isn't he similar looking to the drawing they showed…
Someone just pointed to me that the chef (restaurant which Riku & Mochizuki frequented in E5) matches the sketch. In fact, he even has a mole! I didn't even notice that!!
I loved him in Neechan No Koibito, and came across him in Seirei No Moiribito, which I am currently watching! Thank you for this. I will definitely check out more of his works <3
The FL is so so endearing. She makes me FEEL each emotion she's going through. Absolutely love the way her character has been written, and the actress who plays her!
And E5 continues to be fantastic.. the questions I have are piling up and I really can't figure out the mystery…
Did anyone else feel that the lines between Mochizuki & Hidaka blurred when Hidaka smiled at Riku's return to the apartment?
I like where the show is going with Hidaka/Mochizuki's relationship. It's not a romance or even a romantic interest per se (though it may come across that way) but rather a connection they feel sharing each other's bodies (it's both very physical and emotional at the same time)
I wonder why the sister was introduced in E4.. does she have a connection with the girl on the bridge?
I am pretty sure Riku's boss is connected to the murders (his face matched the manga drawing) which brings me to the thing I am most curious about - the connection between the manga that they show & Hidaka/Mochizuki. The show really has got me hard on that! I can't figure it out at all.
This drama is pretty interesting plus it stars two amazing actors, so it's a must for me this winter.is anyone…
Agreed. The acting is great and the writing is fantastic! While the show does seem to be hinting at it, I don't think it is romance per se. It's more like a connection they feel sharing each other's bodies, which has resulted in both the physical and emotional interest. Maybe the finale of the show may hint at something but I am pretty sure they won't be endgame. All I can say is SURPRISE ME, SHOW, like it has been continously doing.

Yes I thought he looked exactly the same as well! He's definitely connected to the murders which I am sure that Hidaka did not commit.
Also, did you notice the smile that Hidaka gave Riku when he returned to the apartment? At that moment, I almost felt like the line between Hidaka & Mochizuki blurred.
Is there any jdrama good as this one? Could you recommend me few titles, please?
Neechan No Koibito Nagi's Long Vacation Engine Juhan Shuttai! Tenno no Ryoriban Nemureru Mori no Jukujo In This Corner of the World Nijiro Karute [currently airing] Uchi no Musume wa, Kareshi ga Dekinai! [currently airing]
AHH I enjoyed this so much. Another drama that I regret putting off for years. This filled me with so much positivity & energy. I loved the different kinds of people it explored and the hard work that goes into making a manga. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to watch something that is light, heartwarming & inspirational. Also, I LOVED the OST! I AM DECLARING MYSELF TO BE THE BIGGEST KUROKI HARU FAN. SHE'S MY QUEEN hehe
Neechan No Koibito would be a perfect fit. Give it a try! I will recommend more if you like it.
I am glad you liked Neechan. Check out these:-

E5 was both the funniest & the most sensitive one so far. I grinned through a lot of it, and teared up at many moments.
