Agree! And not just that, Shinjiro understood that Godai loved Asa, and that Godai was special to Asa, too but he never let that make him insecure. He trusted Asa and the relationship they shared, and never stopped her from pursuing what she wanted. Both men treated her with so much dignity and respect.
I don't trust MDL ratings. Most of the dramas I've really loved are rated low, with the exception of a few. I'd say if a plot interests you, go for it. That's how you come across unexpected gems. Don't let others' ratings dissuade you. Also, if you want recommendations, take them from people who actually give you recommendations that are similar to what you like, rather than throwing generic recommendations that are not even similar to the said drama / movie.
