This movie is extremely extremely disturbing, but the most disturbing part is how the son actor, Seo Youngjoo,…
I am glad I am not the only one who thought of that.. Also, there was a huge controversy and lawsuit of him slapping one of the actresses and forcing her to do an unscripted sex scene in this movie. Can't remember the details, but people are so quick to condemn actors / actresses for crime, but continue to support such directors.
Thank you so much for this list!! I'm always looking for some dark and twisted romance in my dramas bcs too much…
Same, I adore darker romances HEHE Bump Off Lover is so good, and even though it's not a romance drama, the romantic relationship was so dark and twisted I loved it!
I find it amazing how I started watching SK dramas in the 90s and she was already playing grandma roles then.. and 30+ years later, she's still at it. Safe to say that she's the quintessential South Korean grandmother.
He deserves punishment for breaching the laws of the land BUT I can't take the sentence seriously when rapists, murderers and other criminals get away with lesser time or even no sentence. Let's not even talk about crime - this is a country where people outcast you if you don't drink alcohol, and that says a lot (and I'm speaking from personal experience). Why are there no punishments for people drowning in alcohol? It's as problematic as drug use, and should be curbed given how high the alcohol consumption is.
Why hs he done so many crime series? I hate that genre.
He has done tons of non-crime dramas that are fantastic. Here are some amongst the many-
Kokoro no Kizu wo Iyasu to Iu Koto Watashi wo Hanasanaide Grace no Rireki Kaidan Botan Doro: Beauty & Fear Asa Ga Kita Tenno no Ryoriban Natsuzora Idaten Wakamono Tachi Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu
I find the above reviews way too harsh. I don't know the extent to which all the diseases mentioned are real, but they seem rather well-researched and crafted with diagrams and explanations. I love the relationship between the leads; just the right amount of banter and friendship. Both of them are quirky, smart and play off each other well. The supporting characters are pretty pleasant, interesting and have a genuine bond. It's no masterpiece and has its flaws, but time flies by with each episode. It's a light, fun comedy with some mystery and heartwarming elements that deserves love.
A very powerful, thought-provoking and profound psychological study on identity. I have absolutely no words to describe the depth and complexity of various issues this covered. I think I'll have to write a long review on this one. As with most fantastic content on MDL, this one's highly underrated.
Sign me up.
I am definitely watching this.
That aside, he's a really good actor.
