He deserves punishment for breaching the laws of the land BUT I can't take the sentence seriously when rapists, murderers and other criminals get away with lesser time or even no sentence. Let's not even talk about crime - this is a country where people outcast you if you don't drink alcohol, and that says a lot (and I'm speaking from personal experience). Why are there no punishments for people drowning in alcohol? It's as problematic as drug use, and should be curbed given how high the alcohol consumption is.
Why hs he done so many crime series? I hate that genre.
He has done tons of non-crime dramas that are fantastic. Here are some amongst the many-
Kokoro no Kizu wo Iyasu to Iu Koto Watashi wo Hanasanaide Grace no Rireki Kaidan Botan Doro: Beauty & Fear Asa Ga Kita Tenno no Ryoriban Natsuzora Idaten Wakamono Tachi Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu
I find the above reviews way too harsh. I don't know the extent to which all the diseases mentioned are real, but they seem rather well-researched and crafted with diagrams and explanations. I love the relationship between the leads; just the right amount of banter and friendship. Both of them are quirky, smart and play off each other well. The supporting characters are pretty pleasant, interesting and have a genuine bond. It's no masterpiece and has its flaws, but time flies by with each episode. It's a light, fun comedy with some mystery and heartwarming elements that deserves love.
A very powerful, thought-provoking and profound psychological study on identity. I have absolutely no words to describe the depth and complexity of various issues this covered. I think I'll have to write a long review on this one. As with most fantastic content on MDL, this one's highly underrated.
I'm probably in the minority, but I adored this season as much as the first. It didn't have much of a plot like the first season but the tone of how the ML continued to draw the FL out of her shell and the way she began feeling newer emotions was such a delight to watch. In the first season, she slowly regained her will to live, but in the second, she wasn't just trying to live, but was actually beginning to aim towards living a quality life. Such a subtle development that was done so beautifully. Their interactions continued to be full of so much wit, banter and heart with stellar writing that was always self-aware, despite the romance being a notch higher this season, and actors who brought their A1 game and charm to the set. Very rare to have a second season that can pick up so organically from the first, that too after a year. Looking forward to the third installment whenever that is :)
P.S I know I said this at the end of S1 as well but I am just going to repeat it. Takaishi Akari would be the perfect fit for an Asian version of Wednesday Addams.
So, would it be better to let her commit suicide? This drama is hilarious, but also serious. Sure he is her teacher,…
He didn't really "date" her. The show does not in any way normalize or romanticise their relationship. The writing is extremely self-aware and is careful to never tip that balance. Also, she wasn't ready to accept professional help. He drew her out of her shell slowly, and she came into her own. Don't judge a book from its cover.
Pacing issues and unnecessary villains aside, this was a relatively easy watch with pleasant leads and supporting characters. It wasn't particularly memorable, but at least it wasn't as frustrating as many other lakorns.
I saw someone watching this on the train and it brought back horrible memories.. I didn't say anything because to each his own, but I did have this urge to tell her to STOP WATCHING lol Even 7.3 is a very generous rating for this HAHA
