I don't get how its 8.3 when its a complete masterpiece like its so underrated and deserves so much more π It's hard to find dramas with such a good and unique plot like this! If you'te thinking of watching this but not sure, I highly recommend it! It had me hooked from beginning to end! It just kept on getting better and better!
JUST FINISHED AND OMG IT WAS SOOO GOOD!!!!! I can't believe I didn't get bored in a single scene! I enjoyed every moment of it! And man, to think the leads acted as 3 different (types of) characters blows me away and Wang Duo was soooo good too, I just couldn't! I couldn't hate him tho there were times I questioned why he does that and this but when I learn why, I come to love his character more π I rlly hate to see him cry and the FL... I rlly love how even tho she knows he loves him, in the end, she understands him, and feels sad and a bit heartbroken inside knowing how his feelings for her lasted 10k years through different timelines... I love how she cares about him :( Wang Duo's eye acting in those scenes are on another level! The different timeline characters of the leads felt sooo different that I couldn't believe they were played by the same actors! It was insane! The plot was soooo good, loved the romance (tho his feelings for her could've been done better / more naturally than sudden) but I don't mind it much cuz the story had me hooked from beginning to end!
I was a lil worried what could go wrong in the last 10 or so episodes when those 20+ episodes were sooo good (bc of some people's reviews)??? I was like, "I just can't see it going downhill when it's going sooo well," and man, I am glad I didn't feel it going down at all but rather, I was so intrigued with their past lol! It was just amazing!!!! Loved the dynamic between Mu Xuanling and Zhao Ming tho I didn't ship them bc they had their other partners within the other lol. But it was fun! And I'm glad the 3 leads got along in the end and finally realized why each choices were made! I feel like it's gonna be so hard to find a really good and unique plot like this one. I will rlly miss this journey! Was fun while it lasted. Def gotta do a rewatch on this in the future!
But rlly, I remember when this started airing last year but I was already watching another airing drama I was hooked with and for months, I've been wanting to watch this only to finally plan on actually doing it on its anniversary and I don't regret it one bit! Will miss this ride!!! Till next time TBL!!!
Yes it is a rlly good drama that you don't wanna miss out! You should definitely give it a try! But prepare for tissues haha also if you like bromance (I see you have watched some on ur page), you'll definitely fall in love with this one ππ₯Ή It hits hard!
Happy anniversary to this masterpiece! I remember it was my favorite in 2025 and it was the very first drama I watched during AIRING that year. I will never forget how much I enjoyed this one, how beautiful it was... how I was so hooked from beginning to end. I decided to start rewatching it yesterday to celebrate its anniversary and I can't help but smile a lot bc I can't believe I'm actually rewatching it lol! I also did cover a song for it earlier last year but haven't posted it yet but I will try to plan posting it very soon to celebrate its 1 year anniversary! I am excited! I'll def do multiple covers of the OSTs of this drama bc all of it is just BEAUTIFUL! Let us cherish this beautiful masterpiece!
Everything was going so well but wth did I just watch in Ep.39!!!!! That was the worst and most disappointing episode ever!!!!!!! Making the 3 greatest demons die just like that in one go when they are supposed to be the most powerful ones ever????? The writers are soooo dumb and stupid for this!!!! I really loved them despite all the bad things they did to Hongye. Ofc I hated them for that and it's hard to forgive them but I'm so glad that they accepted it in the end. Even tho it was hard to let go, they still did nice things to her and being friends was better than nothing. I rlly liked how Hongye stood up for these demons despite what they did to him, giving those 3 hits to Bingzhu :( He deserved it sm and more! If the demons could just come back to life and lived, I can see them changing for her, changing themselves for the better, living out a better life, and living happily for themselves and with the friends around them. I could see Xiaoyao, Hongye, and them actually getting along well :(
But anyways, I was very disappointed that Xiaoyao did not give any big reaction of hate towards what Bingzhu just did to our 3 greatest demons. And Pianpian too. They became characters I hated so much bc of all the bad things they did. I can never forgive Bingzhu for being so weak to not follow his own principles. He knew what he was about to do was wrong but instead he became evil just bc of a frickin girl! Their story was very disappointing. After all he went thru with Xiaoyao, I thought he was gonna see demons in a new light and grow into a more beautiful person :( He was one of my most fav characters in the beginning bc I could see him growing to become more righteous. In the 2nd half, it just felt like he became a whole different character which left me disappointed. The writers really mistreated our Bingzhu/Wang Duo! You can't just make a character go backwards after seeing some hope of change in him! And it was disappointing and so wrong of Xiaoyao and Hongye to just let him go so easily like that! I rlly thought they would fight for our 3 greatest demons more but nope, they decide to let him go and for what???? Did they not think that was wrong??? He deserved to get punished. Our 3 greatest demons didn't deserve the 10k years punishment underground bc Hongye used them π But they got it and Bingzhu didn't??????
I was rlly hoping Bingzhu would fall in love with a demon who was very kind, and his love for that demon would actually change him and his views on demons but the writers decided to make stupid writing for him. He was so OOC for the 2nd half of the drama and I will never forgive the writers for that. If he was gonna just change like that and turn to the evil side bc of Pianpian, the writers should've just never let them meet atp. Bingzhu got influenced in such a bad way bc of being around her. He was so much better without her! Idk how he found her interesting in the first place esp after seeing all the bad things she did. Instead of staying away from her, his love and care for her grew???? I could NEVER love someone more after learning about what kind of person they came to be. I know Pianpian was also controlled in a way but that's it. Writers made her weak to not able to control herself but even when she became herself after Teng She died, she didn't even care about what she did to Teng She. She killed him but it didn't feel like she regretted it at all. Even when she became conscious and saw Bingzhu taking his demonic powers, she had no reaction and just let him do it. It shows that she truly became bad and evil not only bc of the new heart that controlled her.
Also I have to admit the writing kinda felt funky like the way they did each timeline felt a bit out of order or well I think the drama could have flowed better and more naturally if you know what I mean. The thing I rlly wished happen was Xiaoyao not having any memories when going to the past so that she could experience what her life really was in the past as her past self. Bc of her memories, if she knew what had happened, she could have literally changed the past which could change a lot of things in the future! It made me think, "Did Xiaoyao and Hongye really only meet bc of future Xiaoyao going to the past???" They make it look like that if it weren't for her going to the past, they would have never met in their past lives. It was disappointing in a way how they wrote it like that. That it has always been the future Xiaoyao that met Hongye in their past reincarnations... oh well.... I wish it was just originally Xiaoyao in the current lifetimes instead :( It would have been a lot nicer and more natural if they made Xiaoyao lose her memories like how it happened in LYST for the two leads to experience their past loves without any memories, it felt sooo good and was so fun to watch ππ₯Ή
I decided to finally start watching this a few days ago on its anniversary and so far, it is really good and has me hooked! Been actually wanting to watch this ever since I heard about its release last year but it became so hard with many dramas airing... but finally I started and I love it! I hope it continues to keep me hooked til the end!
I don't like the idea of two dramas airing so close to each other... what were they thinking? Y'all know what…
I also hate it. As a huge Neo fan, I'd rather focus on one drama of his at a time especially airing. Like I can only focus on one of his (focus on THAT character alone, not two simultaneously) so I won't be watching Glory while it's airing unfortunately bc of this. If it wasn't for this, I would surely be watching both during airing. It is just SUPER SUPER weird and dumb for them to air both at the SAME TIME when ML is the same. I wish they changed one of the airing dates but oh well :( Neo Hou going against himself with both dramas... but let's hope both become a success. LOVING TUS SO FAR! It is sooo good!!!
I was expecting this drama to have at least 8.0 rating or above π what is going on?? People need to learn how…
It was legit 8.5 and 8.4 yesterday... haters are everywhere its so sad!!! I never saw it until this year where several dramas start high but then suddenly drop so msny points so frustrating
Wang Duo's character so reminds me of his brother, Yichen, in Fangs of Fortune. Not only the fact that he has hatred towards demons but the fact that his sword is the sword that can sense demons (blinks/lights up) like I find that crazy. It's just like Yichen's Cloud Light Sword. His is blue while Bingzhu's is red. And I loved seeing Yuanzhou (Hongye) [both Great Demons] and Yixuan (Bingzhu) fighting lol the FoF reunion ππ»ππ»ππ»
Lol, what I thought of when watching episode 1 is that Marquis Pingjin from Legend of Zanghai plays here as ML's father who dies. In LoZ, he does the opposite, one of the people who killed Zanghai's family XDDD!!! Both dramas taking on revenge but he plays opposite roles. Not to mention how Zhou Qi plays as his son in LoZ and he's also here in this drama. Wow crazy LOL
I only watched the first episode and I LOVE IT ALREADY!!!!!! So happy to see Chengyi once again! Seeing on screen always puts a smile on my face! π₯Ή He's portraying Huai'an so well, I am so proud of him!! Makes me so happy to see him in this type of drama and type of role for the first time. I know I haven't fully seen his dark side yet but boy am I excited to!!! π₯
(On ep 35) This is one of my favorite dramas in a while mainly because of Xu Qi An, but from a pure romance standpoint,…
What a coincidence. I just finished Ep.34 and on Ep.35 rn (haven't started) but anyways, the romance feels so forced. I've been telling my sister this (she is behind so she hasn't seen the romance yet) but we rlly don't like it if a drama that doesn't need romance HAS romance or if it feels forced. If it's done right then maybe I'll change my mind I keep saying the same thing too that it feels one-sided. It's always showing the FL thinking about Qi'an and wanting to see him while Qi'an never does. He doesn't think about her and is always thinking about doing what he needs to do as a Guardian. The kiss in Ep.20 something (I forgot the exact) felt super forced and so all of a sudden. Their relationship didn't develop and it was only built on lies. I actually was disappointed that after all that she lied to him, he doesn't get mad nor does she get any consequences but embarrassment. I expected something more to happen but nope. I thought Qi'an might hold a grudge or smth but it never happened. Anyways, I just don't feel chemistry between them :( Their scenes together tbh are my least favorite in the drama and I'd prefer to watch the others more. Not to mention, where have his 2 Guardians been? Still no site of them after they thought he died??? They were my favorite! Love all the other people around him tho. Random, but I'm starting to really enjoy the scenes of him with the Princess Consort tho she barely got any screentime so far lol, the way he keeps her from going anywhere and her failing to leave from his sight makes me laugh ππππ Anyways, hope the romance will be shown even less in the next season :( I started to get a bit frustrated just seeing the romance scenes even tho I know it's not not shown much but lately they have been showing them (and what I mean is the FL ONLY wanting to see ML and nothing else... I think those scenes are unnecessary, not needed) I mean to me FL isn't interesting nor written well. I even prefer her chemistry with Pingyang A LOT more. The chemistry for them was there but the leads, not so much....
The way this might rlly air soon and we got legit nothing, no poster no trailer, nothing! They revealed nothing π Still super excited tho but it's the first rime I see a drama like this π« Also, I'm too excited for the 19 OSTs we'll be getting! GJM always does soooo good in them with FoF being my #1 fav out of every drama I watched! So I'm super hyped esp with all the character songs! I know they're gonna all be so beautiful ππ₯Ή
I am so happy you enjoyed it! Ngl, it was like my second historical C-drama which is when I started getting into…
Omg I've srsly been wanting to watch this for a long time bc I hear everyone saying how sooo good it is!!!!! I am sooo late I know but I'm gonna try watching it soon π I rlly wanna see how good this is like how ppl say. I'm gonna watch JoL first (as someone recommended) so I get prepared for smth even better afterwards but yeah I heard they're both RLLY good! You should add NiF to your Completed list since I don't see it there! But anyways CQL is gonna be hard to beat. It rlly has a special place in my heart π₯Ί

I was gonna rate this a 9 but after watching the ending, I am now hesitant. Am I gonna rlly lower it now bc of the last 2 eps??? Only if there was a 2nd season where they could give us a proper closure and our 3 greatest demons reincarnates! And how much I cried when Xiaoming left Xiaomu all alone, it was too difficult to accept ππππ Why couldn't the writers think about reversing time so that Xiaoyao could change and prevent everything that happened πππ©π©π© Also did Hongye srsly just suddenly come back??? What was that last scene??? Instead of being happy, that felt so unrealistic! I'd rather they not make him come back or at least show HOW he came back. A season 2 for this explaining everything would have been nice! It's just weird that they decide to make ML suddenly come back only for the sake of being the ML when they don't even make the ofhers come back π It just makes no sense whatsoever. It was forced and unrealistic.

Also y'all, this feels like such a bad review but I really enjoyed it a lot. You have to think about how I was mostly only writing about the last 2 episodes π I know it's long but I'll never forgive the writers for what happened there. Overall a good drama. Not even surprised a Xianxia gets a terribly executed bad ending when it felt like we were gonna lean towards a good and happy one ππ©π‘
