Omg, I'm so happy I told you about this drama then. It's so underrated, tho rated very high but not many ppl know about it. I hope you'll like it, or well... LOVE IT! Prepare for tissues towards the end 😭🤧 I'm reading the novel rn bc of how much I miss the drama ㅠㅠ I finished it like 2 weeks ago. How is it so far? What ep are you on?

Lol sorry for the late reply but yeah, it's so true that censorship just ruins the ending in these BL adaptations in China ksjdhfkjshfkj but like I just felt most of the time there was no censorship in this drama cuz it just looked way too obvious esp from Lanzhu's end for liking Lingling (since the beggining like...) but then Lingling starting to like him later on (yeah I know in the novel this is how Jiushi is like too). You're right. With censorship, this drama is still so special to me. Even tho the ending pissed me off, and smth I was not expecting, I still rated a 10 bc it became one of my all-time favorite dramas now! I won't get over it and still am not over it... and am still stuck inside the door 😭 What matter is I guess at least he came back. And all I can think of to make myself happy is think of the novel ending haha! I only believe in that one :)

I just randomly found this and recently, I finished The Spirealm... I wasn't expecting myself to cry a lot in this drama! It's such a good drama tho and the chemistry between the leads is just sooo beautiful and you will LOVE IT! Not sure how much you're into BL, but this one is just so good. I feel censorship is almost not there really like it's so obvious ksjdfksdk anyways... I actually didn't expect myself to cry. Bc like I only cried once (I think) before Ep.20 but then bawled my eyes out starting in the late 20s NONSTOP, and I'm sure you will too bc it's so sad 😭 I hope you give it a try. Am honestly not over this drama and am missing it everyday ㅠㅠ

Literally same! I just finished this recently and after they parted ways, everything was so confusing and idk what route they were trying to take 😭 If you look closely, Gao Dawei is actually played by Xia Zhiguang. It is so unfortunate that they didn't go down the route that they were best friends and that they never revealed his face 😭 Also yeah I hate the 50-year age gap bc Jiushi was never happy in those years oof 😭 Let's just think of the novel as the ending to make ourselves feel better! At least they reunited after 1 year only! And Lanzhu was actually real and not an NPC in the novel which was even better. But dang him being an NPC was such a plottwist for me. I really didn't expect him to be an NPC at all but yeah it made me cry a lot 😭💔

thank you for your reply. I decided to think of the ending in a different perspective especially going align with the novel more. Thinking that way will only make me happier haha I believe this wasn't a dream but just all in virtual reality because the world he had these experiences and made these memories in may be virtual, but the time spent was real :) I'm gonna def read the novel soon too. I already plan to do it haha I'm really excited cuz I really am not over this drama. Even the side characters I loved too and I miss them all huhu

Unfortunately, don't know why they had to timeskip 50 years when in the novel, it was only 1 year... and another disappointment is that we didn't get to see Yixie reunite with his brother in the 11th door :( In the novel he reunites with him and decides to stay with him. As an identical twin myself, watching them separate, watching Qianli leave Yixie like that was a very heartbreaking moment for me and the feelings are still there... but at least, even tho we have faced deaths that left us heartbroken, being able to see them all in the 11th door just made me happier. It's rare to find dramas where you can get to see a person after they died especially reuniting with their friends! That's smth I'll always love about the drama!

wth... I so loved this show but what was that ending? I never saw ppl complaining about it so I thought it was gonna be a happy one but to me, that felt so confusing and so sad :( I really hope all of that wasn't a dream... I refuse to believe all of that!

Me during the first 1-11 episodes (really enjoyed every moment I watched) but after that it started to drag a lot... this is just my opinion tho. You could be different cuz I know some ppl enjoy it still

agree with everything you said. And the last line, same. For some reason, not super enjoying the romance than I should be. I thought I would love it but it's like meh to me idk... bc they're hiding things to each other. And there's too much lovey-dovey moments. Li Zan is hiding too many secrets from her. Song Ran not being told the truth is bothering me a lot. I also prefer action scenes more too. After the explosion, for some reason, to me, it started to drag a lot. And I feel there's too much romance scenes that they didn't need to add them all in if yk what I mean. They are taking way too much screentime. The drama didn't need 38 eps imo. It's already been 10 eps and barely any development in the plot happens. The plot seems to not be going anywhere since then unfortunately. Hopefully I won't be disappointed in next episodes tho and that Song Ran will finally know the truth (I wouldn't be surprised if someone tells her before he does...)

I agree with you. After Ep.11, I started feeling the drama to be really draggy. The romance is too sweet and lovey-dovey, barely showing their true feelings to each other and still lying. Thankfully next episodes we are finally seeing Benjamin and Sasin and more things going on. Idk why but the recent episodes weren't as intriguing to me as the first 11... but the previews for the next ones look promising and I think we're gonna get more military stuff soon so I'll look forward to them :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. I feel like they dragged on the romance too much. I thought they were opening up but Li Zan is still hiding his true feelings to Song Ran. And it baffles me how Song Ran can't see the lie in his eyes when it's so obvious? Is it just me who feels the romance to be really draggy? I wish they focused more on important stuff :( And they haven't been giving us any scenes of the side characters in Eastern Country (like only one scene) in the last 9 episodes :( But yes I am loving seeing the scenes between Li Zan and Luo Zhan!

Not getting over this drama 😭 Became one of my very top favorites ever since the first episode... been waiting months for this drama and it exceeded my expectations for sure. Missing it so much 😭💔 Yk... what I love about this drama is that it had so many interesting characters, and you feel the death of each one. And there are some of those dramas where theres so many annoying characters but yk what? This one didn't. I mean, it was only Zhen Yu that I hated.

I loved the development of Fu Ling whom I didn't like at first but began to understand her more. So sad to think she spent years thinking she was abandoned. She didnt deserve this. I also love Qi Feng so much that I am so sad we didn't get enough scenes of the two brothers after they reconcile like whyyyy???? 😭 And I feel bad for Chang Mei bc she spent thousands of years trying to save Mu Jiu and keep him alive bc he was the only one that kept her will to stay alive despite all her loved ones dying 😥 But everyone she loved and cherished all died beside her. No one left. I really feel sad for her. I was really sad but grateful at the same time when Mu Jiu decided to give up his life for Bai Shuo bc she and Fan Yue saved him (who wasnt supposed to live) but thinking about the many years Chang Mei spent to keep him alive... it breaks me 😭💔 Why couldn't there be another way??? To save both Bai Shuo and Mu Jiu 😭 And this goes for other deaths lmao

To me the ending isnt really great cuz we only got the leads surviving. May I ask how Fan Yue came back to life tho? I'm so happy he came back but at the same time I want it to make sense 🫠 Is it cuz they worked so hard to save the world? Personally, I kinda wished it was written better like for him coming back alive made more sense if yk what I mean? Idk if it's just me but yeah... Anyways... if it were me, I wouldn’t be happy if everyone else beside me died and it was just me and my loved one. But I know that they would have to eventually move on ofc ㅠㅠ I feel like I wouldn't be able to esp if I cherished them so much esp my siblings 💔 But I find it so precious that they never forget those people they met along the way 🥺 I just wished we got more alive bc everyone was precious to me 😭

I love how Moonlight Mystique had support and guest roles whom you could feel so much and fell in love with and even tho we didn't see them till the end (most of them just halfway or less). This even includes the love story between Rongxian and Ling Long which was just shown in a couple or few episodes only. That is smth I will always love about the drama. Tbh I don’t even have a fav character cuz I just love everyone LOL!

I will not forget this drama and will cherish it forever in my heart! Thank you to the directors, screenwriters, all the staff and actors for working so hard to create such a beautiful drama with beautiful story, casting, costumes, makeup, sets, etc.! The way I'm still surprised that FoF passed censorship like idek how it did when its clearly BL lol, but I'm so happy it did 😭 So can't wait to see Zhuyan/Yuanzhou's ex and lover coming together this time lol been rooting for them since the beginning and can't get over their video clips 🥹🤭

You're gonna be seeing them bicker most of the time in the first half tho but then in the 2nd half, a lot of deep emotions are gonna be shared between the two (and they never betray each other nor have any toxicity in their relationship but are always there for each other even through life-and-death situations)

yesss!!!! you should definitely go watch it if you want strong bromance. their emotions are so strong and deep for each other (you can feel it through their eyes and actions) but yes there's various types of relationships in the drama too and you should watch it for those, too :)
