Although I still think LBFAD is better, I do like this drama a lot though, it's very good so far compare to many of this year's drama, cgi is also amazing. Hey, everyone here is wrong tho. I can use Youku international app on my computer just fine. I use Mac though, so I'm not sure about windows. I just installed the Youku international the app from Mac app store and then I can watch everything on the big screen. It crashes at time, but it works well enough most of the time. I'm guessing should be the same for windows if they have App Store.

The FL voice wasn't dubbed though, that is just how her actual voice is and i found it cute, but to each their own. He Di's voice was dubbed because he has an accent/dialect. Most voice dubbing in Chinese drama are done because some actors have dialects or at times, it just doesn't fit the characters.

although I wish the ML didn't have to die such a horrible death. I don't have a faint heart but that was too much for me, I have to skip the execution scene. And wtf they said the execution last 6 hours... Anyways, it pains me so much, he doesn't deserve it at all.

finally picked this up after putting it on hold for a while, and this must be the most unique drama that I've ever watched. The cinematography is so natural and beautiful, and I love how the romance isn't portrayed physically like all the other dramas, but is a slow burn that builds up without any intimacy, just pure feelings, which makes me feel it more than any other drama. I also love just how pure and realistic their relationships are, all the couples. For those dropped it because of the sad ending or the slow build up, they are really missing out on such a beautiful masterpiece.

As sad as the ending is and I want to watch the sequel, I'm not into modern drama, so I have to pass on it. The secondary couples' casts seem to also not be in the sequel either which is sad since non of them ended well either ;-;

all of them have harem fights, but you are wrong, all of the palace dramas I've listed, the FL rose above the men and became monarchs themselves (except Ruyi and Yanxi). the empress of china is the newer version/remake of wu Zetian's story, so already you should know she is a powerful FL (she was portrayed as love brain only half the story before she turns into the Wu Zetian we know of). Zhen Huan is a concubine of Emperor Yong Zheng and she ends up killing Yong Zheng herself as he mistreated her and proceeds to rule as the Empress Dowager who was in top power before Qianlong rules (not historically accurate but that makes Zhen Huan a really powerful FL). Miyue also becomes the head of the state, I don't remember much about it though, it was a long time ago. And for Bai Lu in the Legends, she got betrayed and straight up became an anti-hero who rules the most ruthless sect. so, idk what you're saying.

I think those are pretty common in palace dramas like Empress in the Palace, Concubine Zhen Huan, Legend of Miyue, Yanxi palace, Ruyi etc. If it's a xianxia though, I've never finished watching the drama, I only watched the premise episodes, but I think Bai Lu's character is the Legends was kind of an anti-hero as far as I've watched. Mostly though, it's very common that the FL starts out innocent but then they get betrayed or hurt very badly and turn bad. I don't think there's really any drama that the FL starts out bad at the get go.

I watched her in dreaming back to Qing dynasty and now watched her in starry love. She improved so much and she's so young. I hope she gets more good roles like in starry love.
