Episode 25 Im so mad 😡 that prince Qing Heng and Zi wu plotted to reunite the 3 shard souls without the consent…
I think they are in fact selfless and I found yetan selfish in this episode and it was frustrating to watch. I love yetan but she doesn’t look at the big picture. They need to revive the ml to keep the stability of the realms, I think that’s more selfless than selfishly keeping the three shards alive, not caring about if everyone else in the world falls into chaos
Do you CF QK stans need to be shady toward main CP/other CPs here? I always saw some of you shading other CPs.…
Bro what…I read the op comment and there’s nothing shady at all, ur so defensive for what. They didn’t even say a thing bad about the main couple, they just said second couple is what caught their attention most, basically is their taste, which is a completely valid opinion.
I think their falling in love is understandable. ML is an anti-social and lonely person, he's never been in a…
You're tripping if you think this drama has better chemistry than the journey of flower lmao because tJOF is the most well-executed shifu-tuer drama and one of classics xianxia till date 😭
Ok but on the serious note, to each their own, I respect your opinion. But I've watch cdrama for more than a decade and this is well below my standard. Like sure you can see those subtleties and that he treat her special etc., the thing is they jump to this level of development in relationship in like first few episodes. No build up, no warming to each other, it just feels very out of no where for me. I respect your opinion though, enjoy the drama as you should :D

No, I understand their reasonings, it's a common romance troupe that is not hard to digest. But even if I can decipher why they like each other from seeing this troupe ten hundred times, I don't FEEL it because the delivery is terribly poor. Basically, good romance troupe, good story premise, probably good novel source, but bad drama production execution.
Just started this and wow, I don't like comparing so I won't say the name, but this is so so much better than the other currently airing xianxia drama that I've just watched. Very interesting and promising premise.
Lol, I have never met a heavenly emperor that I have liked. Not one. They all suck 😢😢😢 you own son you…
The only Xianxia drama I've watched so far with an amazing and kind Heavenly Emperor is in Love and Destiny. The Heavenly Emperor there is awesome. He's just and acts like a Heavenly Emperor for once.
Okay, I'm contemplating on dropping this despite already subbed to wetv lmao. The plot is not bad, the actors and actresses are mediocre but not bad either. What's really bad though, is the execution, especially in terms of the romance. From the beginning, it feels like Chongzi and shifu never establish any relationship strong enough for the audience to connect. Like right from the beginning, when chongzi entered the sect or whatever, there's like only 10 minutes of them getting to know each other then bam shifu is in love doting on her. I don't get to understand or see each characters' virtues, which makes me question why chongzi or ML would suddenly fall for each, other than "oh the other party is handsome/cute". It makes me feel like their love, whether romantic or even just familial love, just came out of no where, shallow, unreasonable, like some childish spark of infatuation. Then the shifu just killed chongzi, am I supposed to feel something? I've watched plot where ML killed FL like in Love and Destiny, and that one has the right execution to make me feel things. Even the execution about the love of the second leads for chongzi are poor, it all feel childish. And don't get me started on the character inconsistencies. The only romantic execution done right was Keran and Wenjie.
Watched 4 episodes so far, and wow this gives me a heavy the journey of flower flashbacks. Already, I have a bad feeling that this would turn out the same way as tjof where the shifu becomes a total jerk and then the fl turns into a bad demon because of she was tormented. Anyways, so far the shifu dude seems to be more caring and more standing up for the fl than the fricking bai zhihua, I hope this don’t change cos ain’t no way I’m going through that angst again.
That aside, this is my first Jeremy drama and he looks uncannily similar to gao weiguang. Also those complaining about the fl characteristics and voice and want to protest against it whatever, just know that most cn audience and most sea audience love this archetype.
Just finished watching it and the ending was really satisfying and worth the watch. I feel like it's one of the endings that explains everything and ties the loose ends to the story really well. One thing I feel like they left answered though, is what happens when the citizens die during the game? Does anyone knows what happens to them? But overall, it was really solid. I wish that they remember each other though, aguni and that girl should get tgt lol.
Ok, I just finished this drama and came back to read the comments. I can't believe there's controversies that…
I'm sorry what? I live in Japan long enough to know the definition of tsundere and your reply is completely unsolicited and miss the point of my comment. Sure, maybe epitome is the wrong word to use, but apart from that, I've never meant anywhere in my comment that Lingxi is a literal tsundere in disposition. I simply meant that she does have the essence of tsundere to her character. She likes Jiuchen, but she pretends like she doesn't like him. She likes all his romantic gestures, but says she hates it and completely fend him off with her subtle tantrum and act cold towards him. In that essence, she does portray the characteristics of tsundere. Besides, I think you miss the core message. People were coming at this show for romanticizing abusive relationship because Lingxi looks like she hates/rejected Jiuchen's romantic gestures. I was simply telling them to watch properly and read between the lines that Lingxi's action was similarly to a tsundere and how they reciprocate their love.
I'm so so sorry I use the wrong word, 'epitome' and that I did not use the word tsundere in a literal sense (when in fact the word has long been used flexibly in Japanese). The only reason why I even used the word was because 1) I know wtf it means 2) it is the best stance to explain lingxi's action towards Jiuchen in a more analogous sense.
You commented as if I needed to be educated on the word tsundere and the like, and that was unsolicited and besides the point. There are many other subjects in the world that one should be educated on, but it's definitely not this weeb shit.
me too, but I know why, because no matter what, she just keeps reminding me of Xuannu lmao, but it's not her fault.…
Xuannu is a psychopathic villain character she played in Ten Miles of Peach's Blossom. Essentially, it's ZXD's most well-known role so far and is the role most people have the first impression of her from.
This drama absolutely lives upto the hype and the only thing that bothers me is the fact that the emperor is a…
bruh this is based on the real history. The real Emperor Qianlong did marry Ying Lou and he wasn't an asshole, he was a ruler who was actually decent at it compared to others in his period. His characteristics were very realistic for a competent Emperor at that time.
Does anyone know any website that sells paperback english translation of the Pillow Book? I can find the Chinese edition on Amazon but not a translated one, or maybe there’s no official/licensed English translated version? I’ve already read the online one but I really want a paperback just for collection purposes lol
Btw I love XLH's voice sm. The first thing I noticed in the drama is her cute voice which makes her so lovable. I love the stark contrast between her voice and DFQC's lol. Idk how people don't like it ;-; I noticed though, that the people who doesn't like her voice are mostly westerners. Most Chinese and SEA watchers really like her voice, including me. Maybe it's just the cultural differences.
