Not quite friends or Ally on purpose, more she finds out more and more about FTY because at first she has no clue why FTY is rude to Madame Yu (the few times Miss Wu is around at first, she notices FTY doesn't really acknowledge MYu at all) and then when she finds out what the Yu family did she's like bro I have got to get out of here/not be involved in this mess, she's stuck there because Madame Wu and her family got her placed as a concubine, but her brother in law actually comes to get her and then with FTY's help she eventually gets free. oooh I always forget there's the little descriptions. maybe FTY will help her marry someone else? In the novel she helped arrange wives for all the older guys in ZL's crew but now that YC is gone (i cry)

and in the novel she actually helped FTY and ZL by passing a couple messages on and then FTY helped her get the heck out of there, the last chapter is an extra with her returning to the capital and runs into the remaining concubine who explains that her life SUCKS so I'm super curious how they'll do it here. Death isn't punishment for FYK or YJX, the loss of their privilege and everything else will be so V hopeful they end up miserable LOL

Five years to ruminate and think about how his older brother figure is super different, he lost another one (he knows what YC did is wrong), and also he's been with FTY now for five years so he's of course going feel more like "siding" with her so until ZL sees FTY A Sen's probably gonna be like idk this man LOL

I'm still watching but no one actually explained anything to A Sen before they left and he's hurt by the changes between them.
