This Director directed some of my all-time favorite dramas—What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Because This Is My First Life, the Let’s Eat series. So, I’m expecting the chemistry to be sizzling. It’s taking the adult versions of the leads a while to get on the same page. But, when they finally do, I believe fireworks 🎇 will ensue, especially given these pro veteran actors. Patience. Trust.

Rewatching this drama. I love it so much now. However, I disliked it a lot when it first aired last year. I was so silly back then to have not been able to appreciate how thoroughly delightful this drama is. Sweetness, gentleness, innocence, politeness, manners, chivalry, wholesome, happy good times with friends, eating good food, working hard at your work and your hobbies—these are all very fine things to have in a drama!

Hee Joo’s stepsister was in an arranged marriage to Sa Eon, but she refused to go through with it. He was willing to comply only if Hee Joo took her place instead because he heard that Hee Joo was also being forced into an arranged marriage but to an absolute jerk who was rich, but who nobody wanted to marry. So, he wanted to marry Hee Joo to save her from that bad guy.

The secretary? IKR!! Thought that since episode 1. The way the camera lingers on him. The Director is trying to make us think something about him. Love the Section Chief though who competes for boss’s attention with him. He’s our comic relief 😅.
