Rewatched after several years. Reminded again of how good this drama is. One of my absolute faves. The chemistry is so good and the FL is so smart but adorable. Esther Yu was great in this.
Love a steamy mini drama, but I personally didn’t enjoy this one. One of the worst I’ve seen in this genre—the acting, the plot, and the weak kisses (although they got a bit better towards the end). I like Li Jiu Lin, super handsome, but this was pretty cringey.
IQIYI is finally taking reservations for this drama, whereas even just a couple of weeks ago, they weren’t. So, the drama is on its way! Looking forward to this one so much.
Nice house slippers are nothing new. The younger generation must be unfamiliar with this. Granted, they don’t look very comfy, but they are nice for an elevated look especially if company comes over.
Overall, ok but not exceptional. I liked the warmth of Li Jiu Lin’s character. He’s usually so cold in these types of dramas. He’s usually doing steamier stuff too. This one was quite tame, a bit lacking actually.
I can’t stand the grandmother. That wet-paper torture is sadistic, like nothing I’ve seen before. 🤯She looks like the evil stepmother in Disney’s Cinderella with that hairdo.
