He looks like Daniel Radcliff. But he looks very young for this role
The whole cast is young. It’d be a very different drama with older actors. It’d have a whole different feel and vibe. I like the young leads. Their youth is part of the character, their growth and development.
Lin Yi is really impressing me as an actor here. His character is flawed—a troubled, lonely, distrustful soul who took all of that angst out on the FL inappropriately. But, I do see a bit of growth over time. He apologized for his rudeness, which revealed a bit of self-awareness. But, he’s still a cold soul and has a long way to go. His character growth is not so dynamic or as obvious as the FL character’s growth, but there are subtle changes. Lin Yi nails those subtleties very well. Also, his fight scenes are top-tier. He does “tough-guy” surprisingly well. He doesn’t look like a tough guy with his Harry-Potter style and lean frame, but he nails it anyway. Very believable. I have a new respect for his acting because of this drama.
How is this show now? I am on episode 3 and I keep seeing comments about hairdressing and makeup
Very good drama. The FL’s character development is very well done. All of the hairdressing/makeup stuff are just vehicles to show us the FL’s growth. This young actress is definitely one to watch. She’s good. ML actor is nailing his role too. His character is cold, domineering, and distrustful. They go head-to-head very well against each other.
Why? I haven't started watching this drama yet..but I was planning to watch it for a different kind of story line…
He’s just very cold and domineering and distrustful of the FL. The actor himself is outstanding—nailing the role, but the character is quite complex. He takes care of the FL, but he’s harsh with it. FL is no pushover though. Good drama. Very good.
On episode 8. Very good drama. Intriguing. Good acting. But, man, the ML character is such an ass. FL character has to grow too, but the ML is really making me sick right about now. Good drama though.
This is the drama you watch when you want to de-stress from life, when you want to detach from the real world because it is so extremely, I dare say ridiculously, idyllic and fluffy and sweet with zero angst, zero villains, and zero conflicts. Basically zero plot—seemingly, that is. But that’s just a ruse, for indeed there is a plot here. I had my doubts along the way, as I was bored to frustration and exasperation at times, despite all the loveliness of this drama and the cheerful happy vibes. What does that say about me? Anywho… But, I stuck it out and I can definitely now say that this beautiful “boring” journey has been well worth it. Very pretty drama. A beautiful love story.
Can someone translate please?! It seems to say Song Wei Long passed on this project. Is he no longer interested? Also, it seems like Bai Lu was presented with this script, but also is not interested. Is that what it said? Thanks anyone who can help!
I enjoyed this! Very heart-fluttering. Sure, the FL had her issues, but she wasn’t a bad person. Being over-sensitive isn’t a crime! The ML, thankfully, had the good sense to recognize a good thing and worked like crazy to keep her in his life. Their chemistry was fire. Nice in-laws. Warm friendships. Happy vibes.
i love to binge watch so can i watch Hidden Love now or should i wait till first frost released ?
Even though this a concurrent story set in the Hidden-Love universe with the same characters, it appears the two dramas will be unrelated as they are using different actors for the ML. And who even knows if any of the “Hidden Love” actors will make an appearance in “First Frost.” Probably just best to view this as a separate drama altogether. Therefore, I would say binge and enjoy “Hidden Love” now.
