7. Provoked (mysterious FL, steamy romance with a sweet twist)
8. Circle of Love (twisted, toxic, addictive, extremely steamy, nonsensical plot, guilty pleasure)

Yes it is. I use all the time.

I’m in the US and use the Youku app no problem, on my phone and iPad. Just noticed it’s not downloadable from the App Store anymore. I believe they are revamping their platform.

Disney+ is the worst. Can’t get any of the shows in the US when they are airing. Get only a few here and there months after the fact when the show and the hype and excitement for it are over and gone. And there’s no way to complain to Disney about it. Zero customer service for it. They entered the kdrama world with no understanding of its international fandom.

“I Hear You” with Riley Wang (who played a violin maker) was how I learned about Zhao Lusi. She was so cute and funny, about 18/19 years old, still had her baby fat, crooked teeth, and round cheeks. I was obsessed with that drama and her charm. But, later she changed her look, image, and style, got uber skinny, and took on a sexier “pretty girl” vibe which didn’t fit her, in my opinion (e.g. “Please Be At Ease Mr. Ling”. Hated that.) “Dating in the Kitchen” was very good, but was a bit of a stretch. LLTG was ok (unpopular opinion because I know most people thought it was phenomenal). This drama, Hidden Love, is the first drama of hers that I’m really enjoying in a long while.

I can barely get through episode 3. I think I might have to drop this.

I just hope we get proper kisses with the full, swoonworthy viewing experience that aren’t deliberately obscured due to censorship.

AveX is extremely opinionated. I don’t take her too seriously. Often, however, she provides helpful insights into Chinese culture and the cdrama industry that enhance my viewing experience because she’s really smart and knowledgeable. But, I’ve learned to form my own opinion before I let her influence me. So, no worries. Most people can discern what a sweet, innocent, and delightful drama “Hidden Love” is. The leads are knocking it out of the park. (The younger 14yr old Sang Zhi looked 10 years old, which was mildly unsettling, but nothing improper occurred. The ML character was always above board and honorable towards the younger Sang Zhi. The drama even lessened the age gap by 2 years (as compared to the original novel) which further made the story more palatable for ultra-conservatives.)

Personally, I don’t understand her appeal. But, her acting is exceeding my expectations in this drama. Her character is just written poorly. I don’t find the character likeable (at least not at this point).

Many people feel the vibe is similar to “Business Proposal”.

Love this guy. So charismatic and handsome. We definitely don’t see him in dramas enough. I got serious second-lead syndrome in “Clean With Passion.”

Agree. This drama taught me what the fuss is all about over the ML. I totally wasn’t getting it before. Dropped “Mr. Bad.” But, I soooo understand now.

Yeah, the title is right up there with “Be Best.”
