Mama is fierce in that catsuit. Great start! Kinda slow in the beginning of episode 1 as they establish the background and characters. Still, cute and funny moments. I chuckled a lot. But, man oh man, did it end with a bang! The interconnectedness of the mom, grandma, and daughter was awesome. And that smoldering hot villain. đ„ Yes, please. Cannot wait for episode 2. Itâs gonna be rough waiting on episodes each week.
The series went way off track for sure. It could have been a warm, feel-good series full of heart, but the Director/writers…
Ahh, Heroes⊠forgot about that series. I never watched it, but remember it was quite popular and outstanding. Might try to find the series and watch now.
I didnât say you criticized the actorsâ performances. I know that you meant the characters.
I read some reviews about Miaomiao's father and it's sad. I find that he deeply loves his family, he's aware of…
He could have sought a transfer to the city where his family lives years ago, but he didnât. Or, as a structural engineer, he could have pursued a different career altogether that allowed him to be with his family. He clearly prioritizes his firefighting and other people over his family.
I totally understand Milan. Who would want to stay with a husband whom you only meet ten times every year. I want…
He comes off as nice guy; however, he clearly prioritizes work and others over his family. He could have sought a transfer to the same city as his family years ago. Or, he could have chosen a different job altogether. Heâs a structural engineer. He could have found different work if he had wanted to.
Iâm at episode 25. Miaomiaoâs father is useless. Structural engineer. Sees workers demolishing the very building where his daughter is in class. Says nothing.
It seems too easy for Ji Chang Wookâs ID to be revealed. How is this a sustainable plot episode after episode? I feel like Wi Ha Joonâs character already suspects him. The other gangsters already think there are too many âcoincidencesâ as well.
To be honest, I didn't like the series, to call such famous actors and so smear the plot, none of the characters…
The series went way off track for sure. It could have been a warm, feel-good series full of heart, but the Director/writers definitely chose to go a different route. In doing so, I think it was a deliberate statement about the corrupt values of government officials on all sides. The drama was full of unnecessary violence, which I tuned out, but the story was gripping, exciting , and intriguing nonetheless. A bit of a twist on the superhero genre that could easily take its place alongside the Marvel universe. Would love to see crossovers between the two universes. Hollywood, are you listening? The actors all gave OUTSTANDING performances.
I must say, Han Hyo Joo was fantastic in this drama. She was willing to get raw and unpretty and unglamorous. A serious actress. I always liked her, but I definitely have a new respect for her acting chops. Such a believable and powerful mama bear protecting her cub! Never wouldâve imagined her in such a role. Sheâs got the beauty of a Bond girl and such finesse, but she played a mother in despair with such realism. Awesome character. Awesome acting. Award-worthy.
I agree. Itâs bland. Itâs more like an informative, public service message rather than an entertaining drama. The interactions amongst the firefighters arenât as engaging as âFireworks of My Heartâ. Iâm just hanging in there for the love story. This ML/FL pairing seems odd to me though. They donât match. I like the FL character and the actress, but she looks like a kid. An older actress looks better next to him. Also, I find the ML character is a bit unlikable. I am at episode 8. I respect his work ethic, but heâs too brusque. Heâs a principled guy, though, who doesnât let silly girls (ie, that annoying baby-talking fake girl) flirt with him. I like that.
