Changxuan is definitely cut from a different cloth than his brother Mingxuan. Changxuan ain’t taking no crap from this old man, ESPECIALLY when it comes to his woman. Despite his flaws, I do admire his fierce protection of Pingjun. He won’t allow anyone even his father to bully her.

Exactly what we all have been saying. Her actions didn’t match her words the way she pushed him away yet kept looking for him and even gave him a goodbye gift. If you want nothing to do with him, then have nothing to do with him! So, she clearly had feelings for him and even admitted there was something between them but that they couldn’t be together because they were from different worlds. People speculate that it was her mother’s indoctrination and distrust of rich, powerful men that has made Pingjun this way towards Changxuan.
