Yes, I saw Encounter. Loved it. But, I don’t remember any good kisses at all being in that drama. However, he did a hot kiss in Reply 1988 that was quite memorable. So, actually, I shouldn’t have been too surprised now that I think about it. The kissing skills were always there, I guess. He’s just so innocent-looking that it catches you off guard, 😂.
I must say—I‘m impressed with Park Bo Gum’s kissing skills. I didn’t know he had it like that. It’s giving Kim-Soo-Hyun energy. (I know, I know, Kim Soo Hyun is taboo and canceled and all that, but he was a good kisser nonetheless. So, the comparison stands.)

He seems to feel real remorse about hurting Cherry’s feelings, but couldn’t care less if the guys misunderstood him. I am guessing, however, that this all has something to do with his mother. She probably told him not to be friends with the kids from the mountain. Also, there seems to be some bad blood between him and the boy who went to the aquarium (the one who seems to like Cherry) over that letter. Guess we will find out what really happened soon.

This definitely adds more context as to why/how Cherry formed such a deep attachment in what appeared to be a very short time of knowing the ML when they were just little kids. It seemed far-fetched to me. If ep 1 had conveyed all of what you just explained, her actions—the letter, going to his school—would’ve made more sense. Perhaps, they will give us flashbacks in upcoming episodes that explain the depth of their friendship from the time after he left til now in high school.
Nahhh, not me. I liked his visuals as Xie Wei. I wasn’t a huge fan of his “Journey to You” character. I can’t even remember what he looked like in that role.
How long did the leads spend together as children? Ep 1 makes it seem like it was only a short while. It seems too short a time for the attachment to have formed as deep as it did for Cherry.

ML’s visuals are questionable, but his acting is good. I’m at ep 11 and see no issues with him. Except, well, that scene where he crashed the FL’s coffee date with her ex—that was overdone —where he jumped over the sofa. He definitely overacted in that scene. But, it was still kinda cute…kinda.
But, back to his visuals. I am constantly questioning if he is handsome or not. In real life, I believe he’d be quite striking. He’s quite interesting-looking even without the pretty-boy aesthetic.
FL lead character leaves important files lying around on the desk in her unlocked office that a rival uses to smear and subvert her. She leaves a priceless, highly-sought-after painting unsecured, simply hanging on the wall, which is easily stolen right before the grand exhibition. What kind of manager is this? They wrote her character so sloppily. Would a gallery manager really be this careless?
