Ep 25–Superb. The acting. The writing. “Nature’s laws are not absolute.” I need to ponder that. He Yu’s (Jin Zhao) beautiful, rugged face in that scene was perfection. The emotion. The control. Yet, the intensity. Whoever thinks Esther Yu can’t act really needs to watch this episode.

It’s a stargazing club.

The continuity of the story isn’t flawless. The editing could have been better.

Why are they in the kitchen cooking in their overcoats? Who doesn’t take off their coats 🧥 when they enter the house, and especially when they get ready to start cooking? OMG 😆 I notice this happens a lot in cdramas. Weird.

True. She was right most of the time, but still, her style was too overbearing at times. But, yes, I get it. She had to have a firm hand because he was obsessed with her.

Pausing the video to vent—I don’t like it one bit that Dr. Julia lived in his apartment with him for what —years?! If we’ve learned anything from “Sniper Butterfly,” it’s that two attractive people of the opposite sex, regardless of their ages, living under the same roof, helping each other, caring for each other, will definitely end up sleeping together. I don’t believe that happened with Zhao and the pretty doc, but still it would make me so mad knowing that another woman had been taking care of my man and living in his house for years, but he never told me anything nor gave me a chance! Ooooh weeeee, I would be 😡.

Her character was very pushy and a know-it-all. She was a good person who meant well, but I didn’t always like her. There were several times when the ML apologized to her because she was in a huff, but he hadn’t even done anything wrong.

The way the story went after his accident was poorly done, in my opinion. Not well-explained. No scenes to thoroughly convey the criminals’ takedown nor how Zhao survived the crash. I wanted visuals. The drama director glossed over all that.

Also, all of this push-and-pull, one-upping each other, jealousy, purposely causing the other to misunderstand—so tiresome. We want this to STOP. It was a tiny bit funny at first, but the misunderstanding, poor communication, hidden feelings, and secrets have dragged on too long. Let’s reconcile properly, maturely, already.

He was badly injured in an underground race car accident. He didn’t want her by his side during his arduous rehabilitation. He wanted her to be carefree, to be by her sick mother’s side, to have a better life than what he thinks he can provide her. The typical “I will push you away because I love you” trope.

I thought the same on all these points.

Ooh, I love Xu Ruo Han. This pairing sounds great. Added to my watch list!

Thai Sweet Variety Show with these two. I hear they are hilarious. Also, “Shine On Me” might be out on Dec 22nd.

He was a memorable supporting character in “Only for Love.” But, I am thoroughly impressed with his ability to emote in this drama, Sniper Butterfly. I am new to Michelle Chen, but she’s good too. I know she’s a seasoned actress.

No, he was a young child when he entered Mu Mu’s family. So, he knew all along that he wasn’t blood-related. But, Mu Mu from infancy only knew him as her biological brother; Didn’t learn he was adopted til she was a teenager. So, I find her attraction to him very weird, but I also see how she was able to pivot and accept him as something different than her brother.

All that moody build up to take down the bad guys and it ended so unceremoniously. I needed to see arrests and court sentencing. I needed to hear Jin Zhao get an apology or an admittance of guilt from Wangi boss.

My favorite role of hers was “Moonlight”—very smart and strong character, don’t be fooled by the baby voice, really good drama. She was also impressive in “My Journey to You”—total badass in that drama with zero baby voice.
