Very sweet and heart-fluttering. The novel was quite steamy, but the drama toned things down tastefully while maintaining the same swoon-worthiness. Very nicely done. It will give you butterflies and touch your heart.

Their easygoing buddy, Guan Fang (I believe that’s his name), proved to be the real tough guy! Really funny as Gu Ran thinks he’s the one who scared off the bullies.

This episode was outstanding and gave me what I needed in order to root for the mental FL and the taciturn, angry FL. I finally got some understanding of the deep emotional trauma that’s behind the FL’s lead confusing behavior. The acting was top-tier. Yang Yang was pretty impressive too in this episode. He jumped into hero mode like a Hollywood action star.

Sang Zhi’s confession about her longtime love for Duan Jiaxu literally brought me to tears. The deep feeling in his eyes was just beautiful! Outstanding acting. Very well done.

Duan Jia Xu was so considerate of Sang Zhi’s feelings. The lengths he went to to clear the air. WowwwAlso, Sang Zhi’s hair looked so gorgeous this episode as she was walking to meet Jia Xu for their date in that super cute black dress. Zhao Lusi’s best look right there!

FL allows ML to feeds on her in order to save his life. This has to be the most sensual neck-sucking scene I’ve ever seen. The way he cradles her body in his arms and pulls her closer and closer to himself…OMGGGGG.

This episode finally delivered the toe -curling mutual kisses we’ve been waiting for. Both leads bring it! They are so good together. Previously, we saw him force-kiss her, which was hot, NGL. But, consent and mutual desire for each other is far hotter. Their chemistry is insane.

Healing episode Spoilers RSB works to heal the rift between her and her sisters, Yunyin and Wan Wan. Both sisters have been expelled from the Rong mansion and are working the tea fields in the mountain with RSB. RSB explains to Yunxi why she wasn’t able to be a good sister to her previously. Yunyin finally understands the difficulties RSB has endured.The cousins are increasingly becoming less tolerant of Grandma Rong’s criticisms and tyranny over the family. Yunxi and Xiang Ling walk out of the Morning Greeting assembly when Grandma’s belligerent actions exasperate them. Yunxi seeks solace with RSB on the mountain and is stunned to see the changes in Yunyin’s personality. Yunxi’s daughter plays happily with Yunyin and Wan Wan. Yunxi suggests that Grandma should be replaced as head of the family. RSB smiles.Yunshu is now fully sighted as she claims the new doctor has finally healed her. Clearly, she was lying and has been able to see far sooner than now. She schemes to change Grandma’s medicine, but Grandma is not easily fooled. Was Yunshu trying to poison her? Mr. Bai calls her out on this point. Mr. Yan overhears everything, but Mr. Bai is convinced that Mr. Yan is a good man who will not disclose their conversation. Yunshu withdrew her hand from Mr. Bai’s hand when she saw Mr. Yan approach. Why did she do this? What sort of designs on Mr. Yan does Yunshu have?

Another excellent episode! RSB stands up for what is right!Spoilers RSB sends LJL on a dangerous task as penance for betraying the Rong family. She plans to shoot him while he’s hanging off the side of the mountain plucking the rare tea leaves as RSB requested. She shoots her shot, but cannot bear to kill LJL. Ultimately, she believes in his uprightness. RSB admits to her cousin that she and he are like-minded. He does not deserve to die for righting the wrongs done to Madam Yang. After all the troubles she endured, Madam Yang decides to become a nun and escape worldly concerns. What is Mr. Yan’s connection to her? He is visibly affected upon hearing of her entering the nunnery. She’s found dead. Was she murdered? LJL investigates and discerns how much her death will sadden RSB. Mr. Yan plants the tea clippings that LJL procured from the side of the mountain. He plays mind games with RSB, but she doesn’t fall for his cunning tactics. Grandma says to leave Wan Wan at the nunnery. RSB defies Grandma and accuses her of inhumane conduct. Her sister/cousins are shocked! RSB moves to the mountain and is pushed out of the Rong Family. Blind Sister Yunshu ascends into the role that RSB forsook. RSB discerns that Yunshu might not actually be blind. RSB vows to repay the person who has been stirring things up behind the scenes? Is this Yunshu? Mr. Yan?

Spoilers Many regret their rash decisions. RSB evades her wedding night with the bullish, hotheaded undesirable suitor from the selection ceremony and turns to LJL for escape. Mr. Yan firmly rejects Second Sister again, but admits that she’s beautiful. Will these two be the next enemies-to-lovers trope? The scholar comforts Blind Sister who was derided by her fiancé, Mr. He. Is she regretting her choices now? Or is she still scheming something? Always hard to tell with this one. Outstanding drama!

One of the most romantic episodes thus far! Spoilers below.LJL is full of cheeky antics and hard bargaining (which are delightful to watch and has made Hou Ming Hao a new favorite for me). His always scheming, so that he can stay by Rong Shanbao’s side, and mischievously bumping the competition out of the way are hilarious. RSB offers him more money and land to take on additional tasks as Steward, but he looks her in the eye and says there’s something else that he wants more than money and land (meaning RSB herself is what he wants). What a heart-fluttering moment! It gave me butterflies! RSB blushes and feigns indignation, but then immediately accepts him. It’s now clear—she has fallen in love with him as well. Many more moving moments are in this episode as Lu Jiang Lai expresses his love for Rong Sanbao. We also learn from RSB what the Tea Bone is.Yang has tricks up his sleeve, however, related to the impaired little sis, Wan Wan. He’s still in the competition for RSB’s hand as old Madam decided not to oust him despite the trial in the last episode where his underhanded tactics were exposed. RSB feels cornered by Yang’s tactics and is forced to yield to him.Fifth Sister (blind sis) continues to stun everyone when she is proposed to by one of the suitors during the selection ceremony. Mysteries surrounding the mentally-impaired Sixth Sister come to the fore. What is her baffling connection to Mr. Yang?

Second Sister schemes to prove that RSB is not the real Tea Bone in an attempt to dethrone RSB as the family head, publicly humiliating the whole Rong Family during the Tea God Ceremony. Little sis, Wan Wan (Sixth Sister—the mentally-challenged sis), is dragged into this dispute. More questions about her background arise.

Excellent episode! Spoilers below.LJL executes a skillful double elimination of the two most obnoxious suitors despite being injured by a poisonous sword during a duel with Yang. LJL’s cheeky antics make RSB’s heart flutter.We get a flashback of a bloody massacre that RSB either survived or executed herself when she was a little girl. Later, we learn that this massacre has something to do with Mr. He’s family which explains his psychotic, maniacal disposition towards RSB. Mr. He executes his revenge plan against RSB. The lover of Grandma’s Head Maid is his accomplice. Both are punished. But, in a shocking twist, Fifth Sister shows up as an ally.

LBJ gets promoted to Steward and is given a servant of his own as he has impressed RSB with his courageous and steadfast efforts to keep Cousin Wen safe. Others in the household are starting to notice the special attention that RSB gives LJL. There’s a confrontation between LJL and Grandma Rong’s head servant—who will Rong Shanbao back in this confrontation? LJL has a memory flash and remembers killing the constable, but has no other context for the incident which makes him worried about true identity.
