I’ve been seeing posts trashing the agency Hua Rui, but as far as I can see HR have been good to Cheng Yi?
They’ve been pushing him as the male lead for a while even though he wasn’t that well known and his look isn’t that of your modern typical male celebrity (song weilong/Wang Yi Bo). They must have had full confidence in his acting ability and his versatility. I love love Cheng Yi’s look and manner, he’s modest and gentle in his expressions and speech, but acting is a tough industry and so he had to have had backers.
I know I talk about his acting a lot, but it really is excellent. I wonder if it’s because I’ve been watching so many sub-par actors who are only there because of the way they look/singing popularity and as a result lack experience or skill. His expressions and mannerisms as TZ are so casual and boisterous, like when he’s eating he just cocks his head sideways and relaxes. Whereas as YY he looks indifferent to most things and moves much more gracefully.

They packed in quite a lot in the heavenly realm. Hoping they can do it with the demon realm!
I hate to criticise this show I love so much, but yeah, the beyond slow recognition from YD that TZ loves her is frustrating. One of the best things about the heavenly arc is that she was so confident about her feelings early, so there were lots of emotional scenes. The only person bringing the emotion in the mortal arc is Cheng Yi. And the rest of it is filler.
It seems the mortal realm arc won't end in part 1. So, part 2 better have more than 19 episodes.
Is that definite? I feel like with the introduction of the demon lord they’re setting us up for the demon arc now. I also feel that there is so much emphasis on TZ having to make a decision about YD or the sect that he will choose YD soon, and that will be the end of the mortal arc.
What if they end part 1 on a cliffhanger???? I will riot!

So this one says that YD saves YY (after TZ gives up his life) and YD (in a voiceover do you remember she says he owes her a life, and now he’s repaid her with TZ’s?) says the debt between them is settled. They no longer owe each other anything. YY goes back to heaven. This makes sense because although we know everything YY went through and how much he loves YD she thinks he doesn’t love her.
In the mortal world YM and YD hear Lu Ming is missing and try to find him. YD goes to heaven to find clues and Zhi Xi helps her. In heaven Zhi Xi tells YD that YY truly loves her and underwent the love punishment and treasures the lotus belt. YD is moved but she is no longer a deity and YY is the emperor so she is sad and goes to the Goudan house because she misses YY.
There she finds the pond full of lotuses he planted and YY beside it drinking. He’s crying and it makes her so sad she runs up and kisses him.
This is a good fanfic, but I am a bit skeptical since after the hug he sort of drops his arms instead of hugging her back, which you would if you were reunited. But I am a bit nuts at this point, haha, so I’m reading into anything and everything. 😂
