She did know she’d turn into nothingness. She told YY, when she thought he was the river guard, that it was no use helping her. There were only 2 days left and she wouldn’t make it.

Yeah, she didn’t really know what she was asking for - she said she wanted him to say he loved her, but did she really understand the repercussions of that? Then she got upset he helped ZX when she obviously wanted him to help ZX. She was a little girl in that she didn’t know what she wanted and didn’t understand she put him in a terrible position.

Even though it was annoying to see her like that, I think that’s why it will be such a great character arc for her - to see her actually become more responsible and actually worthy of becoming the wife of di jun, since he is a supremely powerful god who others look to for protection. I love the part in the trailers where she is in the heavenly prison with him!

YD basically forced YY to go along with her sister’s lies. YY knew that exposing ZX would hurt YD so he had no choice.

When YY reached out to YD’s hair (after he woke up with half of YD’s heart) you could see him longing for her and it was also painful for him that she didn’t acknowledge him and was cold to him, even though all he did was protect her sister like she would want him to.

Literally can’t rewatch episode 38. It breaks my heart 💔😭

The bed scene is 31st August. How am I going to last until then? 😭😭

So sad for TZ. He doesn’t even know she loved him when he was YY. He thinks she feels nothing for him.

Don’t quite follow YD’s reasoning in her conversation with YM. She said she understands YM hiding her past was so that she could live a carefree and happy life. But… YY did the same thing! And he did it also so she wouldn’t die. I know she didn’t write her lines, but it’s frustrating. Then she forgives her sister really easily! Her sister used her to save herself!

I’ll just convince myself that the reason she only makes a special case for YY and doesn’t forgive him because she loves him so much. She can’t forgive YY wiping her memories because despite all the awful things she’s been through, they were their memories and a love she never wanted to forget.

The trailer is on youku as the preview for ep 39 so I got really excited thinking the TZ angst would be short lived 😅. Alas. But also why is he role playing YY? Haha.

So happy the angst isn’t long! They understand each other and fight together. It’s not one of those dramas where they get back together in the last few minutes!

Just a small question. Why is the butterfly hatching from the river guard’s hand? It makes it look like he has found true love with YD too 😅

He’s YD’s best friend and a black fish, the sole descendant of the nine fins (something like that 😅) clan, an important clan who were all killed in the last demon war. He’s important so he keeps his identity secret. I think he has the potential to be king of the seas but he doesn’t want to be.

Someone else can correct me on the specifics, that’s all I gathered, but I fast forwarded a lot of the sea politic scenes!

That looks like the final battle, she says something like ‘please look at me, I’ve given you my whole heart.’ But it’s because his demon side has taken over and she wants him to remember her and turn back into YY.

By that point it looks like they are fighting together and are openly in love.

They’ve said many times YY is important to the peace and existence of the three realms. Without him the world will be chaos.
He doesn’t love the three realms above her, he protects the three realms because he loves her.

If by strong FL you mean you only like tv shows with female fighters you have Fuyao with Yang Mi or The Legends with Bai Lu. There are plenty of them.

Yang Zi tends not to take martial arts roles, presumably as they are physically demanding or she doesn’t like them.

I would also argue YD is not a weak FL here. Yes, physically she’s weaker than the ML, but she is smart, capable and quick witted. If I were to make an analogy with western tv, I would say she’s a character in the same mould as Elizabeth Bennet. And nobody says Elizabeth Bennet isn’t a strong female lead.

What fresh hell is this?? How can they give us no information? (Maybe so when they surprise me tomorrow I’ll be so happy I cry, haha)
