I have just come on here to ask about her! Whether it’s worth watching. Because I want to like the FL, but she’s got the same boring expression all the time, and the clothes and makeup are dull and demure.

OMG! Zuang Xu being humiliated by XG after chasing her… and then the camera angle changes and all his classmates are watching 🤣🤣🤣 Noooooo. That’s diabolical. The director really had to go there!

Anyone disgusted with how she just gives up on him after he gets amnesia??? she tries a bit to jog his memory and then just gets on with her own life. That is not even how the amnesia plot is meant to work! You’re meant to stay with them at all times until they fall in love with you again. They can’t even do that right 🤣🤣

I like how she went from a passionate employee to someone who apparently already had the skills and business know-how to start her own company 🤣 😅

During the long crying scene with HY and Jun, I was thinking they should really call his dad first 😅 Thinking your child is missing is traumatising!

So we are supposed to believe the ML is a successful CEO/corporate headhunter who has enemies in business because he’s a brilliant strategist. But also… a complete moron who doesn’t realise that he and Da Rim are in danger. Someone started a fire to try to kill him and sent people to follow/take photos of Da Rim use her to ruin him… that should be enough to alert him? 😅

I’d like them to at least be consistent with his intelligence. Any other chaebol CEO would be sending their bodyguard to keep an eye on Da Rim, and keeping an eye on the villains for their predictable revenge plots. Ep14 should be JH outsmarting the villains, not him getting run over because he didn’t realise thwarting the villains would make them angry.

Don’t even want to watch ep 13 now. Really dislike FL too, and having to see the ML chase her for an extra episode (after spending the whole series chasing her already) will make me really angry. She’s not worth it!

It’s so embarrassing what kdrama writers think romance is. The dialogue is always so cringe! Can they go back to cute bickering please??

I just watched a prediction video (is that what they are?) of what might happen at the end.

And it made the point that in the preview of Da Rim crying she is not at her house. It looks like she has gone to heal at her aunt’s house or something. Which suggests that JH and his mum will be left alone to fight the dad, and that JH will have to go and find her and woo her back. Also, Da Rim’s mum is still unnecessarily against the relationship, so he has to woo her mum too.

When will Da Rim put in any work? I can overlook a lot in romcoms too, but a very basic requirement is that both leads love each other the same amount. It looks like JH does everything while she always runs away and abandons him at crucial moments! The writing has made me feel so sorry for the ML and dislike the FL.

He has to stay there until his mum gets a divorce. But you’re right, he can just bankroll a new company with his black American Express and employ them! Or let them go and give them their jobs back when his mum takes over.

But who wants to be sensible when you can just stay in a low stakes situation getting trauma seeing your girlfriend get slapped by your dad and humiliated by your sister! 🥲

So true. I love a cliched romcom too! They are so hard to do well. This drama did it so well in the first 2 episodes! - The messy FL, uncaring ML, funny first meeting, funny squabbling, surprise kiss, exasperated best friend.

But yeah, what a mess it is now. You’re so right that everyone seems to be badly written and lack motivation. I don’t expect perfection, don’t even actually mind the 100% evil villain, but other things have to balance it out.

I know this sounds bad, but I’m starting to skip bits and I’m finding the main couple very cringe. I know all kdrama couples are cringey (since it’s 35 year olds behaving like teenagers 🤣) but if I feel strong emotion, I’m happy to watch. But apart from the great first 2 episodes, it hasn’t been equal on the part of the main couple. It became intensely one sided on his part while she was just trying to survive. A big mismatch in emotional states - so when she claimed to reciprocate, there was no real impact because we didn’t see her really miss him or long for him. And there weren’t enough fun moments of connection between them, or enough mature self-realisation from her that this was someone who made her feel comfortable in herself.

In fact, she’s very childish and doesn’t seem very intelligent. You can lack in academics, but still be competent and mature in other areas. But he seems far too intelligent for her, to the point that you fail to see what he finds interesting about her apart from her kindness.

The only other show I can compare it to is probably ‘Marry my Husband’. In that drama, the FL was traumatised from low self-esteem and being treated badly. And the ML loved her, but she wasn’t ready for him. But she found her confidence, her friends, and he supported her and made her feel safe. From there she found the courage to love him back. But here, the FL hasn’t really undergone the confidence arc, possibly because the job application fraud wasn’t fully thought through. It was amusing to make him think she’s married, but it is a dishonest thing to do, so she is forced to repent and her character stays stuck in guilt and low self-esteem, even though they tried to give her mum friends to boost it.

Anyway, this post is far too long. Stuck in a plane with nothing else to do 🤣 Obv many will disagree, but that’s just how I feel. Disappointed.

I am actually inspired by that! Apparently we can actually do some sort of fireman’s lift for heavy people. I’m going to try on my 6 foot tall husband 🤣

Yes. It’s as bad as sneering at someone for being too poor. But I get the feeling most Koreans don’t marry outside of their social caste/class? So it is a normal parental belief in Korea?

Think Da-Rim and Ji-Hyuk met once as children, and she comforted him when he was upset and he never forgot her.

The crying really made it passionless. I mean, it should have been exciting! Ji Hyuk was excited! She was crying 🫠 urgh

That’s not why we don’t like him. Also, we are aware it’s the writing, not him. He was brilliant in the first 2 episodes. Really fun and a solid foil to Da Rim.

First mistake was how they made him suddenly like Da Rim - just when Ji Hyuk shows up.

But it’s mainly because we know the writers are trying to set up the 2ML with the 2FL, and they’ve made it so awkward, and they’ve made him so unpleasant towards her that nobody wants him with HY now!

I mean, I confess I have no strong feelings about it (I skip them a lot), but i think if he ended up alone, that would be fine, but it’s the fact he will probably end up with 2FL that makes everyone angry. Like what sort of romance is that???
