That’s not why we don’t like him. Also, we are aware it’s the writing, not him. He was brilliant in the first 2 episodes. Really fun and a solid foil to Da Rim.

First mistake was how they made him suddenly like Da Rim - just when Ji Hyuk shows up.

But it’s mainly because we know the writers are trying to set up the 2ML with the 2FL, and they’ve made it so awkward, and they’ve made him so unpleasant towards her that nobody wants him with HY now!

I mean, I confess I have no strong feelings about it (I skip them a lot), but i think if he ended up alone, that would be fine, but it’s the fact he will probably end up with 2FL that makes everyone angry. Like what sort of romance is that???

You know, I really liked seon-u in the first 2 episodes! He had such a great dynamic with Da Rim. They really ruined it with the unnecessary love triangle. It would still have been funny with Ji Hyuk being jealous even if seon-u was just fake husband and not a love interest. Now his character sucks. Bad writing.

I just watched. What the hell? The arm angle made it look like she was just floppy 😂 cringed while watching it 🫠 So unnatural.

Also, crying sadness sort of kills the fun element. In fact, Da Rim’s miserable anxiety is really putting me off ep12.

After everything the ML has done for FL! Stuck up for her when her ex mistreated her, chased after her when she went missing, put out a fire for her, looked for her in the mountains, took her to hospital when ill, paid off her family’s debt, hid that she’s fraudulently employed - you’d think she might think twice before nobly dumping him?? 😅 because it maybe might just devastate him and leave him alone against people who are out to harm him?

I think it’s an Asian thing - where it’s sweet for a girl to pester a guy until she breaks down his walls and he ends up loving her? Loads of c-dramas have that trope. I’m Chinese and I don’t get it, but it is popular! A love so beautiful is basically this! A girl hopelessly harassing a guy 🤣

Ikr. I mean, great chemistry and I like watching, but he’s perfect. He’s rich, handsome, intelligent, competent, mature, and she’s… goofy, incompetent, timid, meek, not deeply in love with him for most of the series, and not even very convincing when confessing to him! And she’s about to just abandon him at the slightest sign of trouble without trying to work out a way to outsmart the people who are trying to hurt Ji Hyuk. Talk about useless 😩

Noble idiocy is so irritating. I just saw the preview and immediately flinched when seeing it. Frustrated!!

But to be fair, they do set Da Rim up to be a bit useless, not too smart, and a doormat. As much as I love their chemistry, we only saw a feisty Da Rim in the first 2 episodes. From episode 2, it’s been mainly this meek version who can’t sort out her own problems and has rock bottom self-esteem. The question then becomes, why does the ML even like her that much? And I can’t answer that, because she promised to never leave him alone, and here she is now leaving him alone 😩

Your post is incorrect. @cash-grab-man is correct, that the issue is an ethical grey area. He is not confusing biological fact with opinion, actually - you are.

You are convinced a ball of cells (zygote) is not a human because the law states that - but that is not what the law means. The law does not grant legal personhood to a ball of cells - that is true, but conversely it does not say you can treat it like it is nothing - it acknowledges that it is not a parasitic cancer, it is an entity on the spectrum of humanity - so the law grants a fetus a special status. That is why in almost all countries you cannot abort a child after 3 months without valid ethical justification (or even at all), or why there are special laws prosecuting the outcome of attacking a mother and killing the fetus inside her.

There is no equivalence in law between removing a fetus and removing a kidney. They are treated differently. Yes, there is bodily autonomy, but bodily autonomy is not absolute. The state always has reasons where it can limit those rights. Almost all countries have abortion laws - which exist only to limit your bodily autonomy because the fetus also has an interest in living.

I suspect you don’t hold the view that you put forward either, because it is very extreme - to view a fetus as nothing more than a parasite. It would allow you to dispose of a fetus that is capable of living with medical assistance. And there are people who are even more extreme than you, who believe that a child who is born is still dependant on its mother, and therefore should still be allowed to be killed - this is because your focal point is dependence on the mother - the fact that the baby is outside of the mother is irrelevant.

I am pro-abortion, but there is no need to be militant about it. Women who want abortion would agree that there should be a limit on abortion because once the fetus starts to take on recognisable form, it makes most people deeply uncomfortable. The law acknowledges that it is human to grant empathy to a mini human. You do not have to be religious to see that.

I’m a lawyer, and it’s fraud if you deceive for personal gain, so she is definitely guilty of that. It doesn’t matter if her application was good, being married was a basic requirement for the job.

It doesn’t matter a jot if the checks were not carried out - that’s an internal company issue.

But it’s not really relevant - the job requirement to be married in this drama is a plot device, used to create drama. Not to create HR discussions 🤣
