The key point of romcoms is that the viewer always has the pov of the protagonists - and we, the audience, know that they like each other. That’s why you can have surprise kisses and unexpected tension - whereas you would not have that in real life with someone you barely know!

Lord knows half of the romcoms where they pine for each other could easily be seen as unusually obsessive behaviour, if not for the fact it’s reciprocated.

I am only watching clips - will binge once it’s all out. But I’ve just watched the clip where JH sees the kid call Da Rim Auntie. Is Da Rim dressed up to go to JH’s engagement party? Why does she look so happy??? 🤨 I feel like I’m not getting anything from the FL 😩 It’s such a flop when it’s just one person in love.

In the webtoon he chooses an Jin over his brother too. But in the webtoon it is hinted that AJin actually feels something for Jaeo. Maybe not love, but a feeling of being seen by him and protected by him.

I haven’t started watching yet, glad I made that choice. Even waiting for the clips of them actually finding out the truth is dragging on me - and I haven’t emotionally invested in anybody yet. They started with a bang, but have just had the same episode of hiding the secret for the past 3 episodes. And tomorrow we will only probably find the truth is only told right at the end . Uuurrrghhh! Disappointed.

Yeah, sorry. Really hate the simp in modern romcoms. No need for a ML to be a doormat. He’s being betrayed and lied to, at a certain point, it’s not funny, it’s humiliating.

I am not watching the drama because I don’t like waiting for episodes, but I’m keeping up with the story. I love a good romcom and I love that I’m in good company here! A good romcom isn’t easy! People think it’s just throwing cliches together, but romcoms are actually so hard to do well.

I loved the scenes I watched from the beginning, but this middle bit is starting to stress me out. Like it is going on too long - usually the ML would have found out by now and is finding ways to test the FL and play jokes on her. But in this, the ML is getting anxious and upset, and she’s becoming annoying by acting oblivious/leading him on? Correct me if I’m wrong? If she tricks him for too long it is no longer amusing, it’s cruel.

She shouldn’t show up at his apartment - she shouldn’t be going out of her way to create opportunities for them to be together since she knows she’s supposed to be married. She can’t be that dense. It makes her look like a scummy person.

Interesting. I have watched her dramas, but I never really found her convincing in her roles. The innocence too fake, and any assertiveness didn’t work because she was too young. Basically I didn’t like her either, haha. But maybe I’ll give this a try!

How does he come back from that? Even if it’s a bag of blood in his pretend chest that got stabbed, he clearly also spit out blood, and the blade was long! Why can’t the director get his stabbing scenes right? Each one in this drama is right in the heart! Like when mudan stabbed his heart and it barely hurt him?? Stop pretending you can patch up a stab in the heart!

Miles and the County Princess are my favourite characters! They’re such good actors, very natural, and they really bring their characters bitterness to life. I loved their wedding scene in the first season.

They’re well written. As for the others… 🥴well, Liu Lang is awful.

I expected the scene where Liu Chang found the sleazy secret room to be hilarious, but JCY was not being convincingly light-hearted or sleazy. Also, that tied up bondage doll made it look like a sordid murderer’s den!

As much as I love Li Xian, I don’t think he’s that convincing as a sleazy, carefree greedy minister.

Does anyone remember the scene in Romance of Tiger and Rose where they find sleazy paintings in Zhao Lusi’s belongings? That’s hilarious. I thought it would be like that scene.

I’m not watching until it’s all out, but I’m watching some clips. Can someone tell me if County Princess was originally infertile anyway (her husband in her first marriage mentioned it), and she is just falsely blaming HWF?

Me too. There is literally something really great in every episode! I’ve rewatched other dramas before and it isn’t always like this, pacing is uneven, or there isn’t a satisfactory conclusion. This drama really is amazing on the rewatch.
