I super agree. In the point of view of the writer tho, I feel this stays true to his chracter as someone descending to be evil. As lan an said, he seems inhuman because he did not discriminate on whoever betrays him, whetehr it was someone who cared for him or not. He could have just killed her but instead she allowed her to get raped. in the end her nanny was also a victim of the situation. She was still wrong and was not loyal, but being raped is cruel.

I like his character but if I was ye siwu it will be hard for me to like him as a person at this point hahaha.
which is why it makes sense that ye siwu doesnt love him for real at this point….
and that’s also why book boyfriends cant always be boyfrieds in real life haha😉 also, I feel there will be so much character development in the next eps based on spoilers. :)

Yes! a 40 episode just couldnt encompass 3 lifetimes while still showing that slowburn romance, worldbuilding, and characterization. They did good with showing the motivations of the cahracter here and the worldbuilding tho. Im actually amazed coz thats whats usually missing in cdramas for me. But it was well done here. Im excited for the next episodes too, and now want a bit more romance which I think we might get a bit on the next eps….and then the angst! hahaha. i cant believe it but im excited for the angst 😂

I like how the ml is actually a villain. You know how complex villains in novels are usually tortured souls when they were young, but we still hate them because the book is not written in their point of view. well now we know the point of view of the villain, and torn between wanting him to be good or to turn devilish 😂

Also, why did ye siwu tried to escape while in the middle of the ocean, how did she plan to escape by the sea with all the guards? not her brightest moment but still love her and well, I guess it lesd to dance scene. haha

And is it just me, but its the first time I’m actually excited for the angst! want the angst baby! 🥺

I am surprised with the chemistry of the 3rd cp. They both look absolutely amazing andi love their storyline although it seems they wont end good. :( I wished they have more screen time, but it seems unlikely on the next eps based on trailer, now that the main cp is not on the city.

ill be reading the novel after this. I heard there were arcs that was skipped. For now, the drama is still progressing amazingly well and is still making sense. But I would have wanted more scenes for them to start liking each other coz it started with ye siwu being irredeemably cruel to him and to everyone around her, and just after a few good deeds (that was shown on tv), TTJ started hesitating to kill her already (crow scene). It kinda doesnt seem believable but I understand that they have to cut some part. Aside from the 40 eps restrictions, a drama also cannot be like an anime, novel or manhwa that can afford to show it like an adventure and be a bit repetitive so I’ll just check the novel to experience this a second time.

On to eps. 7-8, a lot of the scenes still managed to surprise me despite the spoilers Ive read. It’s best to avoid scrolling thru twitter or reading comments here, but I just cant help it 😅

Latest rumors were ou hao. I havent read any rumors abt yang yang for northwards since end of feb except for one melon twitter user last april 3, soo i personally wouldn't put my hopes up until an official announcement hahah.

I'm not sure tho why mdl changed it back to yy again, but could be because of a rumor that yy will join a new crew on april which is the rumored start of filming for northwards also. Let's wait and seee.

I haven’t read the novel. But for me, her actions made sense. She was resentful from seeing as the Devil God and seeing him massacre her entire sect and family. She feels she can get even by punishing him for now since he cannot kill him yet. She was not a skilled assassin who is expert in subterfuge and killing so she let her emotions dictate her actions in the first days. Plus, her goal was to kill him, not prevent him from having evil thoughts. Fortunately, this phase did not last long and she realized quite quick that Tantai jin at that time was not yet evil, and that all she is doing is only making her feel much worse.
