I havent read the novel, but why do I have this bad inkling and was waiting so bad for TTJ to reveal that the soup was TTML hahhaa. that would be too gross but the atmosphere is kinda leading to that HAHA.

And waah, the 3rd cp is doomed. TTJ got a hold of Pian Ran hence she’ll be forced to go against ye qingyu???🥲 And why is she making so much sense with her convo with Ye Qingyu. Everything she said about the war is 100% accurate. haha

and the ending was such a cliffhanger as always. 😭 and episode 11 trailer has no subs wtf 😭

i havent read the novel, but did they cut anything before the assassination of the jing king?coz it felt a but anticlimactic, like its missing something before it?

Also the father general just let ye siwu go with just a letter even tho he knows the sheng king will probably attack very soon and they’ll be enmies if she really was in Jing. She is his favorite daughter, I cant believe he’ll just let her go without giving us at least a scene of him worrying for her lol. I still thinks it was made this way just to cut more scene times. 🥲

Aside from that, the storytelling, production, bgm, and the way the shots are taken are magnificent that I’m getting goosebumps in some scenes. It’s the first time I had goosebumps from a drama. How I wish again that they are not restrcited to 40 eps.

Yessss! This is why I didnt read the novel. I always end up not liking the drama if I read the novel/ manhua first. But will try to read the novel after coz it seems there's a lot of interesting aspect that was skipped. But the translation is not finished right?

I personally havent read the novel so I can't compare. But there were indeed some scenes were I felt her choices were dumb hahaha. Thankfully its not so stark or not that many for me to feel annoyed with her. I'm really curious about the novel now.

In terms of being weak, it still kinda makes sense now since she became mortal, but would love to see her be stronger and smarter in the next eps also.

Im scared. they said they would make revision. I understand and completely agree that there is a lack of screentime for the other CPs, but 40 mins is too few to actually fit 3 love lines without losing the essence of the main story. Then the whole drama will suffer. :(

At this point (episode 7), i think neither of them have that unconditional love for each other yet. YXW main motivation is to stop the devil god from manifesting either by 1st killing him or 2nd, stopping him from turning evil by caring. This was also, i think, explained by bai lu in her weibo. While TTJs motivation was to get revenge and free himself from the sufferings. Although, he actually cant feel pain, but he wanted affection. He understood people were cruel to him and that nobody cared for him. He knew, as he has been talking to the evil entity, that eventually that evil entity would take over, but he still couldnt grasp or just didnt care because why would he care for the world and the people who didnt give a shit about him. As he said to ye xiwu in ep 7 or 8, it was the world that was the problem not him.

But I really cant blame ye xiwu for taking time to actually fall in love. she saw him as the Devil God destroying the whole world and killing her whole family without remorse. Even if she saw the atrocities done to him as a child and up until now, she still cannot forget easily that he have the possibility to turn evil, and she gets reminded of this whenever he acts evil or using demonic power. If we put ourselves to their shoes, I think we would act about the same.

But as I also commented, I do agree that with the amount of kindness ye xiwu has shown him, he couldnt possibly forget how cruel she was before Li susu took over ye xiwus body. So at the crow scene, Im not sure why he hesitated killing her. However, some people have mentioned a lot of arcs was cut off, hence giving us less scenes to see how they could have began to slowly like each other and how Ye xiwu could have helped TTJ.

there were rumors that there’s no longer a season 2 since they made this 40 epsiodes with 1 hr each already?? but im also not 100% sure so if there is a kind soul to enlighten u, would be very much appreciated haha 😀

but if she dies, how is she then gonna stop TTJ from turning evil which is her main mission haha
but on the next eps she actually did survive so maybe she actually has a way in mind to survive haha lets see.

Can someone spoil me, will the 3rd cp have 3 lifetimes also? They were not in the youko poster introducing the 3 lifetime characters

It’s the dreaded 40 eps restriction 😭 there are scnees that we could have a few seconds to savor the tension of the moment or the emotions, but it just abruptly cuts. there are also 1-2 scenes that it just cuts between dialogue, not really a cut scene but a cut between dialogues just so they can save precious seconds 😅 It didnt take away that much with the quality but it was a bit disconcerting. It was not that many tho (so far), thank god.

So I need 1-2 hours to watch the eps per day, and another 2-3 hours to stalk and discuss on the comments section. Not that Im complaining Im already now dreading the 3 days no eps that are coming 😭😭
