Is it true that she's the FL in Moli? I'm super excited about her future projects. But I hope she can get directors and a drama theme that can bring more sophisticated characters and different styling.
Agreed. It leaves me confused and dissatisfied sometimes how the actor and director are handling the character.
i think it was due not soo good script writing plus she's not much good actress as compared to other actress at her age range. Her character is actually a very hard to bring it alive. At one point, she didnt make any expression at all which infuriates me but the overall theme made me compromised and love her overall.
I wish I liked this drama more. I'm enjoying it. I don't mind it. But it's very on the surface for me.
I understand when I watch many of these kinds of drama genres. I think they need better scripts to polish the FL character, honestly, since the whole thing is about her & its hard to actually to carry her character. I cant understand what is her values, belief etc when this is the most important that shapes the whole plots.
I love everything about this drama, but I hope they give the FL a better script so her character is more elaborate (her values, struggles, beliefs) and her character development is portrayed. Plus, her lack of micro-expression, which is essential for this kind of character who has internal thoughts a lot, wisdom that's not always conveyed via script but her actions are killing me, but she is still cute, and I have enjoyed her character so far.
Wow, Wei Yan's character and face make me so annoyed. If it makes sense, he has an eunuch face that betrays a king, and gives bad advice that causes a king to be a dictator & kill his people lol. So making him as the player kinda weird hahaha.
Dare to say for kdrama, which rarely do fantasy dramas, this is the best fantasy kdrama. All characters are good, highlighted equally & serve a purpose, even the side kid character, fox vet etc. It has the horror, suspense elements that fantasy dramas rarely have, and it's super dark, gore too. The plots & soundtrack for scenes are also good. I understand why people mentioned the romance, but I know the director is not highlighting the romance as the main; it's the whole story of the nine tails, including the romance, his brother, etc.
Plus this was released during covid so didn't get enough recognition & people were transitioning to netflix that time
BaiLu talked about QingWuFengMing in her Crocs livestream: "MC: You've just finished filming your new drama QWFM…
Oh my dear lulu, she works very hard and always gets complicated character. I can say she has a very strong personality and have strong mentality to be able hold many projects continuously non stop and carry hard character without showing she's breaking down. It must be hard for her
I'm excited for Bai Lu career in the long run. Excited for her to take new roles and try different projects, something different from her usual roles. At her age among her gen peers, I can say she's the top with ZLS, YZ. She is also one of the actresses who made Cdrama popular internationally, and the transition of international viewers from kdrama to the Cdrama scene. Miss my Lulu soo much. Excited for her new drama!
I haven't watched the drama, but the interview with the director/writer caught my attention, especially on how they wanted to highlight the underlying bullying in the army & how misogynists started there.
Okay, this reminds me a lot of Crow Zero esp the rain scene. But I understand how much Japanese drama/anime has influenced Korean manhwa/drama & the new director seems inspired by it. Anyone who hasn't watched Crow Zero should watch it haha.
Am I the only one who still feels sorry for Beom Seok after everythint? I can just feel his pain from everything…
The abuse was severe (since lil kid) & bullying added more to his mental health. More that he grew without love at all, mother. Soo much anguish & anger was kept. To think, he's not 100% wrong. In reality, most will turn up as a bad person, an abuser, a sexual criminal even, involved in drugs etc.
Wow, it's the first time kdrama has this directing especially on the camerawork, colour editing etc. I am unsure how to describe this, but this screams mid-20s popular Korean movie directing & editing; it even delivers the same feeling of seducing Mr perfect, a perfect match.
Not many top current C-actresses can act in melodram despite how pretty they are but ZRN is one of them. She has a very good voice projection which melo drama is damn imprtant, very emotional eyes. She has Bai Lu melo vibes that I love. Being too pretty doesnt equal to talent but ZRN nailed every aspect of this when she able to cry the emotions without saying anything. Melodrama is her niche
I'm gonna say this again: This is an excellent improvement on modern C-drama. The plot, close up camera work, slow yet profound exploration of emotions, and emotional scripts give the old Taiwanese Melo drama that I missed so much before the rise of Cdramas.
I understand why people mentioned the romance, but I know the director is not highlighting the romance as the main; it's the whole story of the nine tails, including the romance, his brother, etc.
