Good Political plots. Engaging, x draggy, every character serves purpose, no filler plots & very good scripts. Someone with x interest over political plot can even like this. Romance: Slow burn yet intense. It goes down to the chemistry of FL with all her male co stars. Even second leads serves the intensity of the relationship with FL. To know that its an affective slow burn romance is that, you kept wanting more of the leads and can feel the intensity of their feeling just by a mere conversation. The ML is yearning for FL & its good that ML always put the safety of FL in every political plots.

JXN saw how she cant change some of her fate, they bound to happen cause at the end his mother still dead despite due to dfrnt means. She knew that he loves her(same fate as her past); x wanting to hurt him further, involving him into her problems, she decided to break up with ZZ like that. At least, current times, she think she capable of saving him, not tarnishing the only person she felt with the righteousness & x making him a bad person.

Most drama failed in building a slow burn drama amidst political plots but this drama is a success for me. The fact that they are just talking that we can still feel the intensity & yearning just showed how intense was his feeling towards her ie successful slow burn. This is a good foundation to slowly build up their romance, to reach the ending where they're the end game.

True. For XW to be able to portray his intensity, longing & yearning for Jiang in their few moments showed how good their romance is. The romance made me excited for they actually together, I'm sure this will be better. Plus my man XW is busy with his plotting scheme while protecting Jiang, & Jiang too, is busy with reversing her fate. Plus, its a reverse harem, it's her story, with each man having a significant role in her life. So, XW need to be patient at least.

Yes, and this is the story of Jiang as the lead character, as an empress who wanted to change her fate and her life evolves around 3 males. I believe they reserve the sweetness afterwards, specifically in the cave scene. I also wished that they had more scenes cause their current scenes are already burning with passion what more later. But I do think that the current plot delivers the intensity of their developing romance since the real novel take a longer time
I know that people want a story to evolve more around their romance but this story is about the FL with her past life as an empress, of course, surrounded by politics. Her discovery of her feelings for XW, is all due to politics: how they are compatible with each other, & how XW uplift her as a woman with knowledge and courage, and how he admires her quality as a woman; they are all due to politics. I x think XW will like a simple woman due to her beauty; from watching this, his feeling was driven due to Jiang's passion as a woman; her inner quality made him crazy about her (of course due to her beauty too).
Jiang is confused about her feelings in her other life with ZZ and XW. XW and ZZ are different people who lead different life due to Jiang current life decisions she made. Yes, maybe in her past she had feelings for ZZ (which is debatable since I x read the book) but, in her current life, she treated ZZ with the sentiment and memories of ZZ of the past. I'm excited to see the growth of Jiang in the discovery of her feelings, in her current life.
