I see that many people in the comments aren't really satisfied with certain parts of the drama and didn't understand why the FL did what she did at the end but mature viewers will like it because the drama depicts relationships with a realistic touch. The FL's best friend, especially, had a great story. Her character was well-written and mature. The only thing that was not satisfying was the ending as it was a little rushed. The plot wasn't original but I have to admit it was well-produced and I really enjoyed watching it!

The plot is honestly really unrealistic and every line is cliche. Female lead don't really have a character and is super innocent. The male lead screams playboy who hits on younger girls. However, if you treat it entirely fictional and get over how it doesn't happen in real life, the romance is so hot!! The male lead is soo swoon-worthy and handsome and mysterious. The mature scenes are all so steamy and the male lead is everything. If you have a thing for a super hot possessive older ML who kisses well, this is the drama for you!

I loved this so much. Republican era dramas are good. Yixing did an amazing job and william and zanilla was the cutest couple ever.

Wow I'm so pissed at the FL at the last few episodes. What the heck? She blames the boyfriend for their misunderstanding when she's the one who didn't put her boyfriend at first priority. The ML is honestly so understanding and has been compromising since he really loves her but she's just going over board. Argh. IMO, this drama only needs 20 eps. Cut out all the unnecessary parts.

This was an entertaining watch while it lasted and wow kim soo hyun is smoking hot~ That being said, even though it had endearing side characters and second couple as well as gorgeous sets and outfits, it was definitely lacking in some aspects like the character development for GCS. IU's performance as JMW was the only reason why this drama was decently good. She's definitely the anchor and the only true lead of this drama.

I really liked CM omg I guess I have the SLS. I feel so sad that he did so much for the FL. He became the villain just so that the FL can live, letting her hate him and sacrificing himself, even accompanying her through the last 1000 years so she won't be alone. But in the end, she chose not to take his hand. T.T

I've watched so many dramas but JCW is really so good at looking like he's in love with his FL. His chemistry with Park minyoung and Ha Jiwon is off the charts. He acts really well! I'm so whipped for him, need more amazing dramas with him as the ML!!

This is undeniably not bad of a drama on its own. Its just really really similar to TMOPB/ Eternal Love with all the sacrifices and esp the last parts of the drama. Wish it had more solid character developments for some characters like the villain aka JX. My favourite parts of the drama is the second couple. (QY x YF) This drama didn't give me super strong withdrawals in comparison to TMOPB although I did cry at the touching scenes.

He needs a main lead character!! Come on!!

This drama was near perfection. I loved every single character and it hit just the right balance of romance, family and friendships! I appreciate how the drama starts off with the main couple being married and the story is told flashback-style so we don't have to worry if they end up together.

This drama was not bad. Not amazing but watchable if you're not in the mood for a serious plot.

Overall as a drama, its not bad!! Worth a watch, especially since its all subbed on YouTube!! The actors are eye candies and the plot is pretty understandable except I think the emperors adapt way too fast to modern life lol. The ending was debatable but I expected it and it leaves some room for season 2!

This drama did not disappoint. I am definitely impressed by the plot twists. This drama really doesn't give any characters room to breathe and nothing is smooth-sailing in this drama. Personally they brought up the plot with RQ a little too late!! I wish there were more scenes with him because his acting is just brilliant. At the end of the drama, I have no tears left lmao. Noone prepared my heart for such a cruel plot!!! But fret not, there is no tradgedy tag as you can see so those worrying about it can still watch it!!

I love him so much!!! He is such a good actor I just need him as the male lead in a good historical drama!! Anyone who are fans of him needs to check it his performance in Princess Silver!! My heart has never ached so much!!

Wow this was really good!! Mostly light-hearted throughout and cute plot. I had super bad second lead syndrome though. I can't choose between the male lead and second lead T.T

I relate to this drama on a whole new level as a kpop fangirl. It was an enjoyable ride and I loved all the characters. Although the plot is not really mindblowing, I had enough material to fangirl and enjoy my way through the 16 episodes.
