Anyone don't feel the romance and chemistry between the leads???? The political stuff is boring and the romance isn't half as good as the eternal love??
This is such an amazing drama!! A breath of fresh air and a break from all the angsty dramas!! The female lead is great at finding the good parts of people and the male lead is caring and patient to wait for her till she is ready! Parents-in-law are so accepting and loving towards their daughter in law! It really shows how it is important to marry a good wife as she will be your 贤内助 (which means virtuous wife to manage the family well).
Another thing is how the male lead is loyal to the female lead. Something struck me about what he said and made me admire him a lot! If only all men could think like that! He said if you have one heart, you should only have one wife. Two hearts = two wives. If your wife has one heart and gives it to you, who are you to share your heart with another woman? If you want to have a concubine, you have to accept your wife having another man. If you can't accept it, don't have a concubine. Imagine what would you feel if you had to share your wife's time with another man? That would be what your wife feels if you get a concubine.
So I read the spoilers and found out that the main leads didn't end up together?!! Wtf I didnt even know there was a sequel when I started season 1. I'm already 40 episodes into season 1 and I hate to leave my dramas incomplete after investing so much time. However, I hate tragic endings too fml.....
I really like this drama!! Its worth your time albeit a little draggy in the middle episodes! Do prepare tissues for the last 10 episodes if you cry easily when watching dramas haha
What happens in the end? Dont mind giving me spoiler.
The male lead found out that the female lead indirectly caused his mom's death as planned by the evil character and he walks away from the female lead after finding out.
I rarely ever drop dramas unless they're really bad. Usually when I'm no longer interested in a drama, I put it on the on hold list but once a drama gets into that list it would take a lot of persuasion and effort for me to pick it up again. I really don't like dropping dramas because I have hope that they might get better or I might like it if I watched it in the future.
If you're hesitating to watch this, hesitate no more. I was in a drama slump so I really needed a good drama and this drama was what I needed. Don't understand the hate for this. The plot development was great, cast was spectacular and I loved the perfect mix of of crime, law, fantasy, friendship and romance.
I haven't watched the original US version but I have to say the korean version was really good! If you're hesitating to watch this show, just go for it!
I need more of this but knowing how korean shows are like, it is likely there won't be a season 2 but damn I need a satisfactory conclusion where he gets a proper licence and they continue their bromance with kickass lawyer skills.
Let me try some: Signal - One of the best kdrama thrillers. Ever. Based off hwaseong serial murders (A real life event) and brings the plot to life with a touch of supernatural
Tunnel - A less genius version of Signal, but deserves a chance nonetheless
Liar Game - Drama about a game show that makes you question your own intelligence because the plot is simply genius
Introverted Boss - A light and cute romcom that has significantly less tension and less dark than it seems in the first few episodes.
I'm Not A Robot - Plot is pretty imaginable like its name suggests but better than it may seem. Girl pretends to be a robot due to various circumstances and falls in love with a guy with human allergy.
