I get really frustrated by draggy plots and complicated love triangles so this drama was a breath of fresh air!! Although this didnt have any amazing new plot ideas, the ride has been so enjoyable and I loved every single side couple here!!!!

The love triangle was barely significant in this drama. Its kind of an open ending for the competition part not for the romance. The leads ended up together.

The love story was the only saving grace to the otherwise badly plotted drama. The romance is still worth the ride though.

Ikr its so unnecessary like tbh we only needed 20 to 25 eps off this drama.

The romance was the cutest thing ever. Most of the other stuff is unnecessary.

This was a great family drama for me! I loved all the couple pairings except for qingqing's pairing. I saw many viewers here hating the mom for being too "controlling". This is actually a very realistic portrayal of asian moms living in an asian society. Her behaviour is actually considered really normal to most asians.

I have watched all versions of this story: Itazura Na Kiss S1 & S2, It started with a kiss and Playful Kiss. I shall say I'm a sucker for this story and the movie is basically a condensed version of the dramas. However, it was pretty hilarious and the leads were cute together so its worth watching!!

Happy ending without proper explanation

Can someone tell me why the writer wrote the plot like this??? Why did the twin sister girl suddenly seduce the emperor even though she likes CY?? And Mo Ro Fei changed so much in the last few episodes? I can barely recognise her character by the last episode. Whats with all the bloodbath and unnecessary deaths at the last episode?? How did CY even revive at the ending scene?

The ending episode was the most unsatisfactory one I've watched in a while. There were unnecessary deaths and a character that I had a liking towards changed so much like wtf?? There should be one more episode at the very least as the viewers were given no explanation whatsoever about the very last scene. This is still worth watching though as the drama was great except for the last episode. Vin Zhang is so handsome and the "villain" is an interesting character to watch.

I think he survived. BQ cosplayed lian yi ke and CY appeared saying "I'm also lian yi ke".

Its a happy ending but the last few minutes was concluded in such a rush they gave no explanation whatsoever about how the male lead survived.

Continue it! The last episode isn't the best but its worth completing!
