It’s probably her character which I don’t like..it’s quite annoying and frustrating. I was OK with her in I’m not a robot, but in this series I just can’t stand her. Maybe it’s because I was more into that series or I just concentrated more on the story..either way..She annoys the hell outta me in this one.
I checked the series because VIKI recommended it but I find it quite boring. I will watch it until the end because it might get better but for now..not worth it.
Can’t remember shit about this one..It was like a cheap theatre play with puppets that are moved around randomly, no recollection of it. Better ask the people that actually payed attention to the series. All I did was admire how good the girl looked for the whole duration of the episodes.
Is it worth starting on this drama even though I didn´t like the Japanese version?Asking since I´m interested…
I didn’t like the Japanese series either but in 2 episodes this one got me hooked. It remains to be seen as the story advances if it’s worth the trouble or not. Just wait until at least half of it is out before making a decision.
This was such a mess..one more episode to go and I feel so sorry for myself.
Hana Yori Dango was one of my favorite mangas when I started my obsessions many many years ago, so I couldn't miss another live action of it..Yet as much as I think that this was better made then the rest..it didn't have the same impact as any other had for me. It's like I can't find a live action I can be 100% happy with.
Good points
1. the F4 in this series were the best from all live actions .. I liked all 4 of them and their bromance & was rooting for them to be happy..too bad their taste in women was bad in this one. 2. Monkey/ Yuanzi was so beautiful, I wished she were the main lead..I loved watching her scenes. I will check her other drama as well. 3. The bad girls are more laid back and the bulling is almost non-existent. 4. The acting is not as exaggerated as most Chinese dramas. 5. the 4 men were eye-candy.
Bad points
1. Caina's story took too much time..I couldn't care less about her.. 2. Shancai annoys me badly in this one..dunno if it's the acting or just how the character is portrayed but I skipped most of her scenes were she isn't with the boys..she was just plain boring. 3. Xiaoyou was my favorite character in the Korean version and I was rooting badly for her since the beginning yet in this version I could care less about her. Their relationship also felt forced as it had no real time to build, unlike the Korean version..I just didn't like her character. I couldn't decide if she was naive or just stupid. 4. The scenes with the foreign actors were unnecessary. 5. The story progressed from good to worse until it reached a climax of stupidity..I kept asking myself why I continue watching it.. 6. Too many filler scenes/ stories.
Why are there only 23 episodes on Netflix? Someone reply please
Dunno what to say to that as I'm watching it on Neflix as well and they're 47 episodes so far..maybe you're not doing something right or it might be because of the country you are watching from.
I've had it on hold for more then 10 years, as weird as it may sound, as it was one of my first dramas. I…
You're quite welcome about Hana Kimi. I already saw Murphy's Law and it wasn't my cup of tea. Who knows..mood, personal taste, etc..could've been many factors. These days I end up rewatching some series and changing their ratings.
I could recommend you series like My Lucky Star or In Time With You..the last being one of my favorite series. I usually rate them low or just avoid them like plague so I'm not really a fan of Taiwanese dramas, those were the only ones that weren't in your completed list..
First of all..I don't get people's obsession with Kim Go Eun..I didn't find anything special about her in any of the series I saw her in. I'm actually happy I can enjoy this film without her. I have no hate for her or anything..she just doesn't shine in my book..she's just another actress.
I get it that you loved the drama and the actress but if I were to compare, from my point of view, the movie is closer to the webtoon.
The darkish and plain atmosfere is what I felt from the webtoon as well..and it's what I liked. Yoo Jung creeped me out.. he's a complex character and what people come for..I for once never liked him.
I can finally see the awkward atmosphere between them in the movie, the wish of staying away..it's palpable..and normal.
I like the movie better than the drama because it doesn't concentrate on the actors or plays bias..just the main storyline..and while it has to be compiled..the movie is closer to the image I had of the webtoon.
Now let's all respect eachother and the work of these actors and stop with the hate just because you liked one thing more then another. This movie doesn't deserve such a low score and you all know it.
Found it boring, plain or bland? It just wasn't your cup of tea, try another flavour. I quite enjoyed it.
Hwang Jung Eum's acting in this series really annoys me..it's so exaggerated..I'm just getting frustrated with her character and can't concentrate on the plot. What should I do?!..I really like Ryu Joon Yeol and want to finish this series for him..
I liked the story but it lost big points as some of the cast needs some acting lessons, even some of the older actors..add to that a few WTH moments and repetitive situations near the end and the comedic factor which was a miss (I would've gone darker with the plot)..all in all..I guess it was fine.
I'm thankful for discovering Soo Ji, Se Joo & Shi Hyun whom I hated for their selfishness but learned to understood by the end of the story..
Too bad though as it started really promising yet got lost in cliche on the way towards the end.
Also..the similarities to the book eat shit..it only gets the series more hate .
It was a cute series, the main lead is seriously handsome..but..doesn't really compare to the manhwa..the story and characters there are more complex..this series is good as a marathon on a rainy day and nothing much.
At this point I continue just for a few people that I like..I’ve already watched quite a bit of it to give it up now.

What you need instead is to stop shoving her up on other people's throats.
What I like you might hate and vice versa. It's all a matter of taste after all..learn to accept it.
I wanted to like it and found it funny at times..just..too much of everything.
