Someone please fix this synopsis. It's literally the first few episodes of this entire series. I know it's the…
CHANGE IT TO SOMETHING BETTER THEN
The synopsis before (which was translated from main Chinese sites) was literally a spoiler of the WHOLE series.
What I changed it to only describes events in the first episode and start of second without delving too much into the background of the main characters.
This is to make viewers curious about what happens next.
Anyone can modify/change a synopsis on MDL so go ahead and do a better job.
It's so frustrating..I feel that I'm pushing myself to watch it only for Allen Ren because although a lot has happened until now (I'm at episode 9), it just hasn't properly spiked my interest.
I havnt seen such a shitty story in any Cdrama.Really, I couldn't even believe that Bai Lu could actually accept…
Bai Lu and Zhao Lin are both popular actors so many new fans check their older works which explains the high rating of this series and many others.
Bai Lu hasn't acted for that many years but after Arsenal Military Academy & The Legends her popularity skyrocketed. I do agree she's quite versatile, she's one of my favourite female Chinese actresses.
Zhao Lin was mostly getting supporting roles but The Eternal Love was one of the most watched series in 2017 and the sequels were quite popular as well although I must admit the story was quite silly.
I guess sometimes people just vote with their hearts and not their brains.
This series pushes hard the feminist ideology so it's not a series for everyone.
While it did have a few good points, for example I liked the friendship between the wives and it had some funny scenes..I found it a bit hypocritical how it was fine to push for women rights but we have to ignore the fact that some men weren't treated right either. Also 40 episodes were way too many and it dragged quite a bit.
Ok, let me see if I get this straight..so her sister (Song Yu Er) married 3 years prior the glasses guy while she left guys pining for her left and right (including ML).
She swapped with the sister now but the husband is hot & cold as he loves the real her/Yu Nong?!
It's not the drama fault if you don't know how to appreciate such a unique storyline. This drama the ml and fl…
If you payed a bit of attention you would've realised that I'm not the one criticising the series (I barely saw a few minutes of it and I will make my own opinions about it as I watch it, I don't need or care for your input) but I'm annoyed with YOU because you feel the need to push your views on others. I called you childish because you are.
I could care less what you liked or didn't liked about the series, what I'm saying is to stop being so immature when others don't share the same views as you. Stick to the subject, will you?! Share your opinions about the series to people who want to waste time talking to you. Bye Felicia~
I wanted to like this series but why are scenes that are supposed to be be serious (like kidnapping, physical punishment for the smallest mistakes, emotional suffering, etc) downplayed so much?! As soon as something like that happens, a silly thing is somehow added so the viewers are supposed to forget what actually happened there?! My brain cannot comprehend the disrespect towards the audience.
The main idea of the series is interesting at the base but how it's displayed lacks common sense. The story has many plot holes and with better direction could've evolved into something great yet it landed like a toast on the jam side..a proper waste of resources.
I feel so annoyed for wasting so much time watching it. If the story had only focused on the SFL and her "fight" against the virtual reality and it's effect it would've been great as both her and the SML stole the show for me yet it focused on a silly girl with weird social skills.
Maybe I'm just too old for this nonsense and as much as I like Zhang Ling He, not even he could save this disaster of a series.

You need to take a chill pill. Not everyone has to like a series just because you do..it's absolutely absurd and childish on your part. Also, of course the creator will praise it..he got money out of it..good or bad both Xu Kai & Esther Yu are mega popular actors..how could he criticise without backlash even if he wanted.
And I'm saying all the above as I've been Xu Kai's fan of many years..
I haven't even started watching it properly and I see fans like you which leave me with a bitter taste towards the series. Drink some water, re-watch the series as many times as you want and MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS about how others perceive it. I can't believe it that I'm getting so annoyed on a day I should be happy rewatching my favorite series and celebrating Xu Kai.
This started so interesting..the story in the heaven was quite entertaining but why is it dragging so much in the mortal world..I'm also not really interested into the side couples so I ended up skipping a lot.
Started this series because of a video of Man Ni and continued for Gu Jia. Xiao Qin was too immature for my taste and I feel her succes story a bit forced.
Man Ni was actually a character I liked at the beginning..she was ambitious and had principles. I understand it's easy to be impressed by such a man and the fact that she continued to fight for her future and success was commendable. Her mistake tough was to quit her job without a financial plan B. Sure, your ego is bruised but in life you need to be a bit thick skinned to survive. Happy that she managed to find the money in the end to continue but not many people have that "luck".
The fish tank couple annoyed me from beginning to end. Xiao Qin has matured a bit but she's still dependent on other people..the fact that she's so irresponsible with money, that she went for a rebound relationship without being certain of her feelings, the fact that she suddenly forgot she had a cat after looking for it for a few minutes (I would've looked for it for days, weeks, years). I get it..after so many years together it's hard to move on but after they went back together her husband still has a few of his old habits poking through. How much time will it take this time before he gets controlling again?! I can't forgive him for his attitude during her miscarriage..there's basically no plausible excuses for that.
Gu Jia was mostly a great character..her mistake was that she tried too much to pull her family up to a status they were not prepared for yet and lost her incompetent husband on the way. Some people may call her controlling but you can see clearly that if she doesn't take care of everything..it crumbles..she's the definition of "behind a successful man is a great woman".
I really admired the fact that she realised that taking shortcuts is not worth it as rich people are not so admirable after all. She is the definition of the modern woman..she's a great mother, wife and successful entrepreneur. Her mistake was to buy the tea farm without properly checking but thankfully it all worked out in the end. She did have a moment when I found her overbearing (when she asked her housekeeper to share a room with another person) and I thought that she needs to get over herself as she seemed too much like the rich ladies she criticised..quite the hypocrite.
I think that Huan Shan was such a stupid man from beginning to end and my blood was boiling each time Gu Jia bailed him out because he mistook it as controlling. Such a weak man that each time another woman stroked his ego, he will make mistakes in the company. Artist my ass..he had no place to own a company as a director. The company would've closed a long time ago if she didn't get rid of the distractions and fixed his mistakes. You could say he got his karma in the end.
Who didn't get enough karma is You You though. She was such a manipulate woman that lived in her own delusion. There's one thing to admire a man another to flirt with him knowing since the beginning that he has a family..to push and push until you get him..to harm a child mentally. Stalkish behaviour and I was surprised that she actually let go.
That fourth couple was unnecessary in my opinion. Was it to show a proper family dynamics? It just annoyed me to see them after the other failed relationships. While it proved the point, it also felt out of place. I didn't care about them yet they were forced on me as a stark comparation each episode. Like a reminder.."see..this is how a family behaves, loves, cares and supports each other."
I had a love-hate relationship with this series and skipped a lot of scenes near the end as my patience ran dry.

Proper scheming ML you can also find in Love Between Fairy and Devil but the FL is the innocent type, can be quite dumb at times.
Another scheming ML I found was in Jiu Liu Overlord, the ML and FL always try to outsmart eachother.

Not a good series but works as a filler between heavier dramas.
Watch only if you like Dai Gao Zheng as it has no other good points.
She swapped with the sister now but the husband is hot & cold as he loves the real her/Yu Nong?!

The high score is such a clickbait
