I don’t understand why this woman gets so much hate..she’s beautiful, talented and a great entertainer. She’s also a down to earth type of person, she’s always polite and sweet to thise around her.
Seeing that Zhao Lu Si is FL I’m a bit reluctant to start the series as I don’t really fancy her acting style (I’ve watched quite a few of her dramas until now and she tends to exaggerate her reactions). Is this one worth it?
Well i can only comment on this drama, not on books or real life because after all this is what we watched. And…
Trying to educate people like you about what it means to have a proper relationship where people respect others’ boundaries, they don’t devalue themselves or set for less than what they deserve seems like a waste of time as you seem to lack the knowledge on how to use your brain.
Also, your last message draws even more attention to my previous conclusion.

I’m too old and have been through too much shit to romanticise over the story of THIS drama. Don’t come at me just because I see the signs of an unhealthy relationship while you don’t because you saw “your proof” in the last episodes.
I’m entitled to my own opinion and your comment only “proves” that you can’t mind your own business when people have a different opinion than yours.
At the start it was intense, then it became repetitive and boring.
Where before I could hardly wait for the next episode, after the first 5, I ended up putting the series on hold and finally marathoned through it in two days so I can get it over with. I basically forced myself to finish it.
In a real life scenario a character like Jae Eon will never change, or will fail in trying to do so..they feel more sorry for losing the “chasing game” rather than feeling anything romantic. They usually play the pity game and manipulate you to continue in such a toxic relationship. I say this because most women encounter at least one such a relationship in their life..It’s that one relationship that will destroy all your defences and drain you of all you got.
I was surprised they changed the plot from the webtoon..main reason for it was most likely the actors popularity with the public. I feel like they made a mistake with it as they promoted the idea that playboys can change.
It’s like those cheap love novels you read to pass time on a long train ride or on the plane where the good girl makes the bad boy change for her. In real life..he fucks her up and she becomes a bitter sarcastic woman with trust issues.
Chun Shui, an immortal who guards the River of Forgetfulness (a lake full of spirits and demons that is in Heaven),…
No need to thank me as I might delete it as I think the translation of the prologue might have been wrong and the summary of the past events is different.
As I’m watching episode 18, I’m getting confused about what really happened in the past. In the first episode in the introduction it is said that Chun Yao was the one that was lonely and now the story switches that Si Mao creates the clone.
Flashback to the past life :
Han Sheng comes to see Si Mao (who appears to be imprisoned) and like an innocent child she enthusiastically starts telling him about the legend of the last Dipper King. The king is described as a handsome and intelligent man who unfortunately got involved in a power struggle with his own brother. Amused by her antics he in turn explains that the story is actually wrong and that the events that took place were quite different. His proof of it is the fact is that he is the person she is talking about and that he is now punished to be there as a result of not doing his job properly.
Because of loneliness, out of the light of a falling star, he had created a clone of himself to stay in his place and watch the stars while he would go and have fun. Something unpredictable happened and the clone couldn’t handle the situation. There was a chaos of stars and almost the whole Star Hall got blown up. He became possessed as a result of it and got punished by the God.
It’s too similar to the prologue so I believe that maybe the translation was wrong there and that was how it happened..I will update as I watch more episodes as I want to know what are the memories of both Sheng and Chun Yao about it as well than rather than go by one’s side only.
Does the young monk's three bells shattering mean he succumbed to his obsessions?
Yeah, instead of keeping a pure heart and focus on his mission (to punish demons without distractions), he actually fell in love with the fan goddess. He cannot kill her and tries instead to save her.
As much as the red district girl tried to capture his attention (even with the price of shortening her life by taking the face of the goddess) he still sent her away again and again.
In a way it’s ironic how in that story the only person that got their happy ending had to die..they all sacrificed something for the people they loved.
Going past the typical low budget drama quirks, so far is not that bad.
The first story (ep 1-7) with the fan goddess, the monk and the “beautiful girls” is quite interesting as in touches themes such as obsessive desires, corruption of one’s heart and sacrifice in the name of short happiness.
Chun Shui, an immortal who guards the River of Forgetfulness (a lake full of spirits and demons that is in Heaven), feels lonely by himself so he gives form to his shadow so he could play go with it. The shadow has no form or heart. This attracts the attention of Si Mao (a fallen immortal who was in prison at the bottom of the lake). Si Mao borrows 108 breaths from Chun Shui and promises to help. The shadow takes the body of a star while half of its water spirit helped create the body..so the shape of the Cold Pool Goddess was created. Chun Shui then spends time and falls in love with the goddess while Si Mao who has borrowed power from Chun Shui becomes more powerful by the day and eventually breaks out of the River of Forgetfulness. All the spirits and demons that were residing inside pour down to the Human Realm.
Chun Shui and Si Mao fight. Si Mao has become a demon.
The God is enraged by the outcome and blames Chun Shui for Si Mao’s rebellion. He has used his power for personal gain and because of it he should be punished. Chun Shui accepts it but the Goddess takes the hit for him. Chun Shui asks that her life is spared. The God is merciful and sends her to be reborn in the Human Realm while Chun Shui is punished to leave Heaven. He will have to guard the Cold Pool for hundreds of years in case the demons harm the human beings. They will never meet again and if they do, they will have a bad ending. Their memory was erased.
The River of Forgetfulness which dropped to earth formed the Hundred-Spirit Pool which existed beyond the six realms. The demons settled beyond the Human Realm and Chun Shui (now a demon) has guarded in the pool for more than 900 years.
This is a short comedy web drama with a low budget and unpopular actors. I think this is a really good one for…
This is not the kind of drama you should take seriously. If you’re looking for a serious one there are many others out there. From my point of view I enjoy such dramas because they’re cute and cheesy and I don’t need to get extra involved in the plot. Perfect series to watch after a really good dark and heavy one.
There are quite a few reasons for which I say this:
* 2ML obsession with the ML’s success and being the person who created his anti-fan club * 2FL keeps reaching out to the ML knowing well that it will cause conflics between the two men (she knows how jealous her boyfriend can get)
* 2ML hiding the fact that he’s in a relationship with 2FL
* 2ML-2FL relationship in general..he treats her quite badly (pushes her around, ignores her wishes, doesn’t promote her properly, cuts her opportunities just because she might get close to the ML
* 2FL still has ML on speed dial although she is with someone else and even puts ML’s career and FL’s life at risk with the song scandal
This is unrelated to the drama, I just noticed it and felt the need to comment. The flower things. Like wtf?? Why…
The problem is people are not donating and the site needs money to stay up especially now as it has evolved to this level over the years.
How some people spend money to pass levels in games, they can treat it as a game of popularity between actors and spend money paying for flowers on this site as well.
Do you also ask developers of games how they spend money? What they do with it its their own business as long as the site is up and running. The money is donated and people are happy that their favorites are on top. I call it a win-win situation.
I find “disgusting” the attitude that things should be free in life just because you enjoy them..quite entitled. In a real life scenario a domain name and servers are payed monthly.
This series was quite cheesy and absurd. The FL was annoying most of the series and ML an eye-candy. Typical shoujo storyline with no real depth. 2ML and 2FL were quite toxic and was surprised by their ending.
It’s the type of series to watch if you have nothing else..otherwise nothing great about it.
Also, your last message draws even more attention to my previous conclusion.
That being said, you ain’t worth my time.

Both are toxic people
