Can someone please spoil Joo Ah Rin’s role in all this? Hesitant to watch this week’s episodes if she’s going to be that stereotypical conniving, jealous second lead female with a one-sided thing for one of the guys. I wouldn’t mind so much if she weren’t mean tho, lol.
Goddamn, rated 9.1? I hope the score is not as inflated as the other cdramas.
I've seen a few Chinese dramas previously with high ratings so I know what you mean. I'm only half way through this one (my first Taiwanese drama!) but it is living up to its rating so far. I'm so happy I discovered it randomly on the page of To All the Boys Who Loved Me because it is such a gem.
Standing by my theories from last week—Oh Dae Oh is the dad and Ryu Jin was somehow involved in their misunderstanding; and I am also still rooting for Pa Do and Yeon Woo (though she probably won't end up with either one lol). Just can't figure out who Ryu Jin actually likes though! I think he probably said, "The one that got away," in reference to Ae Jung while stuck in the bathroom, but I've been confused (and keeping an open mind) ever since I read SimbiAni's thoughts last week. It makes for a good twist :))
I don't get why the ML needed to sabotage the FL and have her fired. His offer was really strong. I doubt she…
could not agree more! i was intrigued by their concept of remembering past lives, that's why i was so excited to watch this show. but no matter how desperate he is to be with the same person, i can't get behind romanticising what is downright manipulative and stalker-y. hope it ends there too, though i won't be surprised if similar plotlines happen later involving other characters.
LOL well first I was thinking it'd just be some cute "a girl wants to find someone to keep her mom company" kind…
I was thinking the same thing about the breakup! The whole thing was so angsty but just so weird. It didn't seem like they purposely hurt each other based on the flashbacks and yet that's what each of them thinks. So I was starting to wonder if someone (namely Ryu Jin) got in between them out of envy. His reactions about the two reuniting and when Ae Jung was put on the spot sorta felt like there was some kind of guilt there. Curious to see how the Ah Rin character plays into all this. I hope she's not the stereotypical villainess out to get Ae Jung bec of a one-sided love for one of the guys. Tbh I find Ae Jung's current situation plenty stressful even without a bitchy second female lead.
I am personally not a fan of Hwang Jung Eum and her acting (don’t @ me) but I enjoyed watching her in this show! Really sad it’s over but I think 12 episodes made the story flow as smooth as a shot of soju.
the trailer has hotel del luna and you who came from the stars vibes!!
super! seo ye ji's lewk was giving off some strong jang man-wol vibes. made me think kim soo hyun's guest appearance at the end of hotel de luna was really like a teaser for this. *excited*
I'll forever wonder how differently this could have turned out if they had stuck with the original 16-episode run. For one thing, I would have wanted to see the relationships and stories of the Homestay people develop more fully. Sadly, it is what it is. It's not everyone's cup of tea and it had its problems, but I enjoyed watching it nonetheless.
P.S. I wouldn't mind seeing the two leads again in another drama :))
so anyone else felt uncomfortable watching the beginning of episode 9 since they probably had to cut a lot bc…
Literally stopped watching midway just now to check if anyone in the comments here felt the episode was edited weird. Like the cuts are so awkward, it kinda ruined the flow of the story :(
I really like the parallels trom these episodes, highlighting the power of human touch, no matter the degree of…
Okkk so I wasn't being overly optimistic.. I was asking my friend if that was his way of saying he's starting to like her back. He tends to express his feelings so indirectly, it makes me wonder if I'm just overthinking. Lol. Thanks for clarifying :))
