had to take a break just a few minutes into episode 12 bec that confrontation in the forest was sooooo frustrating. it’s funny how everyone keeps misunderstanding the queen but also really infuriating when it gets so twisted. honestly if it weren’t for the comedic bits, i don’t think i would have enjoyed this show and lasted this long :)) my stress levels just can’t handle the politics in historical dramas. lol.
i have to say the writers are really good at messing with your emotions (and blood pressure). lol. i put off watching episode 11 because my head throbs every time i see jo always-the-victim-hwa jin—and then we get the scenes with the queen and her consorts :))
came here to say that ep 13 was so good not knowing they switched out the writer (?). i always thought they would defeat the demon in someone else's body not chung sin bec he's always just been an instrument of those in power (i thought he would go on to possess the mayor's son), but i didn't think chung sin would end his human life himself. i liked that twist. i personally didn't notice any significant change in writing/production in the recent episode. i just hope we don't get screwed over later when we're thisclose to the end.
It's definitely not for everyone, but I personally loved A Piece of Your Mind. I only wished they let it play out as planned instead of cutting it short :( The OST is super good and I play it on repeat to this day. I also enjoyed watching Girls Generation! Thinking of rewatching it, actually.
I think that the king is looking for the ledger, not a confidential book. That's what he saw in the well and took…
oh man i didn't realise she was holding on to the ledger at the end and not the queen's book that she also has! i swear, if it weren't for this forum, i would've missed out on so many important details!
I'm on ep.2 and need spoiler, is Kim Byung In villain or not? I like him :-D
not exactly! in fact, i wouldn't call him a villain though others might disagree. he's just really protective of the queen so his actions make him seem like a meddlesome, bitter second male soap lead to some but personally i don't see him that way. at least for now.
I guess the format isn't for everyone, but I am enjoying it so far. I do agree with one of the earlier comments though—if they add any unnecessary love triangle among the leads, I'm out. Lol.
Actually the cousin is getting worse than Hwa Jin.
I don’t dislike the cousin... yet. At this point, he seems to be motivated by a strong desire to protect and avenge the queen, believing she tried to kill herself because the king made her feel lonely. Ultimately, his motivations may change so I’m saving my final judgment for when the king finally starts to care for the queen sincerely (as opposed to testing her loyalties). I’m curious if the cousin will become a manipulative jerk then like how Hwa Jin is turning out to be.
i didn't realise many hated the cousin! i actually like him, and for a time, wished he had gotten together with…
Hahaha yes it helps that he looks good :)) And you’re not alone, I pity him as well. I think he may be the only sincere relative of the queen (although this can still change).
I don't hate the cousin. He is just being over protective of the queen after knowing about the attempted suicide.…
could not agree more! and i am also hoping he ends up fighting alongside the king after he realises how oppressive his dad and whole clan actually are. after watching their drinking duel, i realised that he and the king have better bromance chemistry than the king and his brother. lol.
