"being a good wife and raising children comes second. what matters most is that you take good care of your self." the xie family could not be more different from the fu—can only imagine how much more her mother really suffered.

I'm currently watching Are You the One while waiting for episodes :)) I picked it because the two are different enough that I wouldn't start confusing the storylines. lol.

thank u! the preview made me think she was going to sacrifice her self for tingyun

for those who have seen episode 25, is her mum ok????

Zheng San and San Niang eavesdropping on their two masters' conversation after the trial and smiling to themselves in the background :))

I love him and his daughter because while their personalities are so different, they're both effective :))

I've seen plenty of court intrigue in historical dramas, but I don't think I've ever come across a minister like Grand Secretary Tian. I can't believe Lady Wei is his daughter. 😹

i like how Yu Jing Xiu's unraveling has brought the mother and daughter-in-law closer—for better or worse. whether they like each other or not, at least they can both agree they can't rely on Yu Jing Xiu. lol.

i don't mind that they're not married. i just want them to start communicating more openly. zl keeps going into monologue saying he wants to be the one tingyun can rely on, but he barely tells her anything. then tingyun goes and does her own thing (even if it's the opposite of what zl wants) thinking she's being helpful. i know it's an ongoing process—i'm just impatient and frustrated. lol.

ganna say it again—i really love madam yu as an antagonist. most villainous mothers would look past their sons' philandering and even make excuses for them. madam yu may not like or think highly of yake, but she stood up for yake as a woman and mother.

i actually wish she saw the paintings. she is in dire need of a reality check.

yake is so delusional. she keeps projecting her insecurities and obvious flaws onto tingyun. get a grip girlie.

can u spoil how she ended up proposing to be ZL's concubine? is it because of the salt thing? still waiting on subs since I don't have a subscription. lol.

lady wu knows which couple would treat her "better". lol. but yeah, after that five year separation, i don't need another obstacle between our mains. meanwhile, jingxiu and yake do not deserve a moment's of peace.

cui jiu deserves having all his tricks backfire on him. especially his fake marriage. lol.

Zhao Ling & Tingyun and the old Yu couple are two sides of the same coin. both united in heart, with one pair being more sinister.

thank u! i think maybe it might?

can anyone tell me what it was Yu Jing Xiu dropped at the beginning of episode 18?

TikTok spoiled Yucheng's death for me, but I assumed he would die at war. omg I was not prepared for how it actually went down.

what was their other collaboration apart from blossom?
