I can't believe it's over. Happy ending wins! They really got me multiple times. When the SWAT team broke into the mint firing their guns against Rio and Tokyo, I thought how tf are they gonna escape here. Tokyo even got shot but I think it hit the bulletproof vest. The police shoot tear gas at them but that favors the MC's as they escaped to the vault. Their bomb underground wasn't working and Berlin decided to sacrifice himself by firing the gun when the police would successfully broken the vault. Seoul rushes back when she hears that Berlin was gonna die for the team. The bomb inside rhe vault when off but Berlin is still alive. Seoul takes him with him to escape. They argue a bit of Berlin telling her to leave him behind. She shoots at the bomb by the underground entrance and it goes off exploding at the police and both of them which we are presume dead.
The professor feels hopeless now that there is no way out until the drawing of the map sparks and idea from the professor. I think it's somrthing to due about his father kept one tunnel he didn't destroy back then. The other team members set up bombs around where the people were protesting at. A lot of the bombs go off but surprise, it was a money bomb. Pig balloons rise and pops out the money they all made inside the mint. Their plan worked after all.
The team sees the end of the tunnel and are free! They pack their money onto a train as thats how they will escape further. The inspector arrives with her gun face to face with the professor. He tells her to make a decision to convict him now or not. He hops onto the train and she doesn't shoot him.
We are shown the team members out of the train in new clothing walking off to their new lives. Then you got your stuff about the politicians schemes being revealed as they suffer through it. The rest of the ending is about the inspector visiting the location of the postcard the professor gave to her about the place he'd like to visit one day. What a shocker, they reunite there. Also the director fellow is moving his stuff into the moving truck when he notices a box that isn't his. He tells the helpers to leave it outside his old house as the moving truck drives off. Zoomed in and the box is full of cash from the professor who promised he would give it to the hostages who stayed behind. Welp, too bad for the director then 😂
But the biggest and best news rat the end was that Berlin and Seoul actually made it out alive. They came out of a sewer on the street and blend in with the crowd. I really think we should have gotten quick scenes of the team members living their new lives.
The writers were cruel to show us a nightmare scenario where they all die in the street after the heist failed. Moscow has died. Finale is going to be what everyone has waited for and it's their escape out of the mint. Also does the Professor kill the inspector? You always get that build up to the end where does the police character side a bit with the MC's at the end and lets them go or not.
Oh great Cha Moo Hyuk has somehow escaped from the handcuffs at their hideout. I don't get why they wouldn't lock him up somewhere more secure. Moscow was shot when they covered for Tokyo to enter back into the mint. He is hiding his wound too. I think he's gonna die protecting his son.
Alright this episode might be one of the best I've seen in dramas. Thankfully we got a peaceful ending to the episode and not a thrilling cliffhanger.
Berlin and Tokyo with some fantastic acting that fooled me and viewers too with that stunt. They got Nairobi to confess she is the traitor. She only did so because they threatened her with her son on tv in the background. It turns out the professor and Berlin are brothers! Berlin even had his own secret group too that helped out the Professor and them. They got Tokyo free from the police. It's not a thriller/cop drama without the usual group members come to the rescue of their buddy by stopping the transfer from the police by car. Ok I like this Seoul lady. I wish we she appeared in season 1/more episodes.
I kind of worry for Helsinki. He lost his brother Oslo. Characters in these situations where they don't have that will to live usually will die by sacrificing themselves for the team. I can imagine the scenario where the swat team breaks in and he does his best to hold them back while they run.
Park Hae Soo easily has amazed me with his acting in the drama. He is the mvp and so is his character. This drama has done a tremendous job in the character writing for the team. I'm rooting for them to make it out alive.
F*ck. Everything is falling apart for them. Half of the hostages escaped, Oslo died, Berlin is going crazy, Tokyo was thrown out by him and in the hands of the police now, and the professor has no connection with them at all.
I think the traitor if there is one is Nairobi. She was a con artist and only cares for the money here. She seems like the one that stands out the most. Maybe a huge twist and it's the FL.
My joy of the team out smarting the police was short lived. Why do you have to ruin my mood there at the end.
Onto season 2, I hope we get a bit of backstory for Nairobi and Helsinki and Oslo. I really like the group and hope they succeed. Maybe years late they could show them reuniting hanging out as buddies because of this event.
I like to comment now why did the professor choose to have his secret undercover room so easily to access in his house. The negotiator lady was easily gonna open the door to find out.
I kind of like having Berlin in charge because they wouldn't be in a scenario where someone is tricked by the hostages and they don't fear them. A worse scenario is the hostages overtakes your weapon/threat because you were foolish.
Well that's disappointing that the director didn't die from the gunshot and they decided to save him. Why can't they let that annoying character die and blame it on the police who is at fault. I really wished the team was all good on terms and we see more their bond during the heist like how it was when they prepared for it. They locked away Berlin for now.
It was a clever strategy of switching the masks to ruin the police plans. But now one of them was left behind and has a device to fit in. They might be exposed if they all wear the new mask and he doesn't have it.
That was satisfying watching the snipers shoot and probably kill the director. Good riddance to that character. Oh how screwed the negotiator and the rest are in now knowing they shot and killed a hostage. Are they gonna lie to the media that the director was a suspect?
Idk why the professor didn't think it through about the team going undercover before the heist like wear face masks in public.
The idea I had in mind for the team to rescue Denver and Moscow was them bringing out hostages to threaten to shoot them if they tried to kill Denver and Moscow. But Berlin's idea is a bit better so they don't know how many are the real suspects. They sure know which guns are the fake ones to give to the hostages.

Ending delivered for me.

These members have tragic backstories.

They are building something with Tokyo and Rio.
