I avoided this comment section like a plague cause I didn't want to get spoiled on the ending, just finished and…
I got busy with the real world and fell behind with the last 10 or so episodes so I also avoided this comment section like the plague lol (until now, just finished😭) . Normally I wait until they're all out anyway, but for this one I was actually watching as it aired and was enjoying coming on here every day to read comments so it was especially hard to avoid it 😆
I suppose it depends on what/who you watch the drama for? Many were complaining about the chemistry for the leads,…
Oof, not a good sign if he was better in SoKP honestly, lol. I don't really watch for people but for the story/plot, but not so great acting can be distracting for me, especially in the mains. For him in particular, it's really weird and I don't know why this is, but aside from his acting abilities I just get weirdly uncomfortable when I watch him. It's so strange. Thank you for the kind response! I'll probably continue to save this one for a severe drama drought xD
I've been avoiding asking this because fans scare me, but I've finally worked up the courage. So, I didn't really like Zhang Ling He's acting in Story of Kunning Palace or in some of his other works. I wanted to know from people that have seen him in other stuff if he does a better job in this one? Since it comes before SoKP I'm wary, but a good director makes all the difference. I know this is rather subjective and a matter of opinions, just wanted some input on whether people think he did a good job or not. Hopefully I worded that okay
Man, I really need to come back and watch this. I remember I watched it when it came out because I had been waiting about a million years for it and made it to episode 18 subbed. Then they weren't updating, and then they dropped it all raw and I skipped to around the last 15 episodes just to see what was happening while I waited on subs, and then was hooked and ended up watching until the end raw and improving my Chinese while I was at it 😅 I was supposed to go back and watch the giant middle section I skipped, but I was so satisfied with the end and the feels I never did. Missed most of the angst and toxicity~ Anyway, I really do need to give this a proper watch one day lol
someone tell me where I can find the sad nanana he sings. I’ll keep it in my playlist to torture my soul. I…
I've also been curious about that to torture my soul too ever since they played it in episode 6 lol, I'm hoping it's in the instrumentals, but I haven't checked yet
Stupid youtube keeps sending me shorts for this show and I already wanted to watch it, but now I really want to watch it, but I'm already waiting with Fangs of Fortune and can't handle another daily uploader. TT-TT I'm a binger not a spreader, stop sending me clips youtube! Can't wait until this finishes airing
First, 16 and 17 made my soul hurt. Second, WHY? Why would you go through with this ritual KNOWING there was a blood moon that night, knowing taking the token out would make ZYZ vulnerable to it, knowing what happens to him, knowing a trap was being set? Just wait 24 hours for the moon to pass so he still has the token keeping him in control, better yet wait a week, and then do the ritual once the danger has passed. There was no sense of urgency, the Wilderness wasn't going to explode if they didn't do it right then and there. Just. Why.
I'm absolutely in love with the soundtrack and would like to own it....also, this drama is scratching my drama itch. I haven't truly enjoyed anything since Mysterious Lotus Casebook, so I hope this one stays strong.
By reading all of the negative comments, I wonder if I watched the same series that other people did.🤔 I loved…
I'm in a funny position where I have many complaints but still really enjoyed watching it , therefore I can see why some people hated and some loved it since I'm somehow both xD Also, I think his eye didn't grow back because they were talking about how only half his body was monstrous, which is why he could only transform his right arm and his right eye was a different color. I would say the parasite affects his whole body enough to keep him alive, but not enough to regenerate a missing eye/limb on his left side. I figure if it was his right eye that got shot it would have grown back. That's just my takeaway, don't take it for fact~
so many loopholes i thought I was dumb to understand the story
Haha, I turned my brain off and just enjoyed it for Master Jang and partially the FL. I rated it higher than I probably should have since it's the first drama in a very long time to actually hold my interest. I'll still mourn all the details they'll never give us TT-TT
I really don't understand why they gave him amnesia for over half a season when they could've just shown us all…
Seriously, they have to realize viewers want to know these kinds of details...they could have still given him amnesia if they liked that storyline, but they didn't even show us what happened once he gets his memories back except that tiny snippet when he first gets infected (you suck crazy obsessive lady)
Wow, whoever was in charge of writing Tae Sang's character arc really wanted him to suffer, I really feel like he got the worst fate of them all imo. Things I really wanted to see that they didn't show: How/when did TS adapt to having the parasite inside him? What did Maeda do after infecting him, just let him be free range? Capture him back every once in awhile? Keep him at all times except when he escaped? His friends clearly knew he was still alive, I would have liked to see their efforts in trying to save him. There were 79 whole years missing where we have no real clue as to what happened to any characters. And Yoon Chae Ok, did she really just completely abandon the ML? She never once checked on him in all those years? Even if she was staying away to "protect" him, she should have still swung by every once in a while to see how he was doing if they wanted to convince me she actually loved him that much. 79 years! And things went so bad for him within that first year of them being separated. She could have gotten him away from Maeda and they could have had a semi-monstrous life together, but she seriously never looked after him? I feel if the situation was reversed he would have definitely checked back on her and noticed what happened and everything could have been stopped before they made it to the present day. Dang. And the little kid could have grown up with a loving family too. I really want to know what happened during that huge gap....
So does the mother never get better? Because I've only watched 3 episodes before needing a break because her behavior…
That really sucks. As a fellow childhood abuse survivor I really would have liked the mom to see the error of her ways and take this second chance to choose a better path. Make amends. That sort of thing. There were so many people raving about it which I just can't comprehend when the mother is like that. Ah well. Thanks for letting me know ❤
I gave the series an 8… but god damn!!! That woman is a horrible human being!! No matter the reasons, she always…
So does the mother never get better? Because I've only watched 3 episodes before needing a break because her behavior is just too upsetting for me and reminds me of my own traumas. Especially after that nonsense she pulled with the withholding food she just barely got him to have the will to eat because he wasn't eating it perfectly enough for her. I really need her to improve and treat him better or I don't think I'll be able to finish it.
Thank you for defending Hu Yi Tian. It's my first time watching him, and I really don't get the haters, don't…
I really enjoyed his micro expressions; they were light because he's not expressive, but I never struggled to tell how he was feeling. I also loved how he completely softened around those he cared about like his sister and the FL. I'm also a huge fan of quiet and calm characters when done well, and I think he did a good job. I've only ever seen him in one other thing and his personality was completely different in that one. No real complaints there either, but it's been awhile. From what I could tell, a lot of people have seen him in other stuff as well and he might be a bit typecast? Which makes it harder to be objective when viewing. I find most complaints around actors have more to do with the writing and directing than the actual actors themselves. Of course, if people think he can't act they have a right to feel that way, but based off this one show I'll have to peacefully disagree :)
Edit: He's absolutely unhinged (more so than the teachers usually are in these shows) I love it
How did I not realize how many of my favorite actors/actresses are in this? O.O Yay~
