Moving is a big-budget Disney+ original series surrounding three high school students with genetic superhuman abilities living quietly with their retired parents. But their lives turn upside down when powerful organizations start to hunt them down one by one.Moving is reportedly the most expensive Korean TV series to date and it really shows in the production. It has massive action sequences, and extensive fight scenes that get extremely graphic. The visual effects look fantastic and there’s this stunning flying scene at the end of episode 7 that looks straight out of a Hollywood superhero picture.
But the best thing about this series and why it works so much is because of the sublime casting. From the top acclaimed cast to the young leads, there's no weak link as everyone clearly delivers.
Also, despite the packed main characters with respective back stories, Moving’s seamless shifts between the past events and present timeline keeps the mystery and anticipation active. It also truly helps that the protagonists who are taking us through the story are endearing and charismatic. And although this centers around people with super powers, it still feels very much grounded and the in-depth relationship between the characters is still the main aspect of the story.
Moving brilliantly blends action, drama, romance, humor, and creates this high-class and exhilarating superhero drama full of heart that we rarely see in Asian TV. Let’s support quality content and stream Moving available worldwide on Hulu and Disney+.

Pure entertainment from start to finish
As someone who’s never seen a single episode of the One Piece anime, I obviously have no idea of if this was a faithful adaptation. But in the eyes of one who appreciates exciting and action-packed shows with good storytelling, I can safely say that One Piece live-action is one of the most truly enjoyable tv shows that Netflix has ever put out.One Piece was pure entertainment from start to finish. It felt like watching an epic blockbuster adventure movie, but for 8 hours… just how great is that?! It’s got dynamic and lovable characters, some really good and fun fight sequences, massive set pieces, and VFX that’s not only GLORIOUS but also made the special abilities not look overtly goofy.
One Piece is surely gonna be on track to become one of Netflix’s biggest series alongside Wednesday so simply cannot wait to see more of the Straw Hat Pirates’ adventures.

The fight choreography in this… jeez! No dizzying camera tricks, just pure action gun fu madness.Baby Assassins: Nice Days is such an upgrade from the first 2 films. Easily the best one in the series. It still has that slice of life charm but is undeniably darker with a proper f-ed up villain this time, all thanks to baddy daddy Sosuke Ikematsu.
Nice days also treats us with longer buddy action with Akari Takaishi being involved in more combat scenes alongside the amazing Saori Izawa, who’s slick as always (and who’s basically the reason for all my squeals).
Aside from the action, I believe Akari and Saori’s chemistry together is also what keeps this series interesting. It’s just warm and fuzzy whenever they’re together and they simply make Chisato and Mahiro’s bond believable and endearing to watch.
Really hope this series continues and levels up with more epic action.

Short and Decent Watch
Honestly quite surprised by how decent this was! Short and sweet with just 8 30-minute episodes. There were some awkward acting at times but overall the show was really enjoyable with lots of genuinely hilarious scenes. The fight sequences were cool too though I wish they lasted a bit more longer. I think there’s still much story to tell so a 2nd season would be nice :)Was this review helpful to you?

Oh my gosh. What can I say other than my heart is so full after watching this ultra comforting drama about unconventional found family. Like seriously, watching this feels like being tucked into bed.The plot makes Saionji-san seem like the usual Japanese romantic comedy drama, but this show is beyond that. It’s more of a life drama than a romantic one. It’s well-written, visually cozy, and has a very likable main character.

“No, I’m complimenting you. I am saved by that side of you. “
Awkward characters can irk viewers when depicted monotonously, but here Matsumoto Wakana - who’s absolutely beautiful in this btw - effortlessly captures Saionji’s quirkiness and naivenes. She’s so natural as Saionji and her cheerful aura definitely makes this drama more uplifting than it already is.
I’ll definitely revisit this sweet sweet series whenever I’m feeling down-down <3

Somber. Mature. Realistic.

Doona! Wasn't what I expected it to be, instead, it was much better. It was somber, mature, and it featured realistic dialogues.
"Your desperation to be loved, to try to compensate for never having it. You're afraid of losing people's interest."
I think Suzy did a good job portraying a female character as complex as Doona; a compulsive, miserable, and highly irresistible washed-up popstar desperate for love and attention driven by her abandonment issues.
"I wanna know what goes on in that mind of yours."
If you're looking for the usual fluffy Korean drama with feel good romance, skip this one. But if you want a more subtle and slow burn story with heartfelt confrontation scenes, go watch Doona.
